I have been to 3 Reborn locations including this one and I get the same drink at each location, even though each location offers a unique selection of drinks. The chagaccino is the drink for us. You might be thinking how much you hate mushrooms and would never try a mushroom powder drink. However, don't judge a book by it's cover because let me tell you, it tastes NOTHING like mushrooms. The drink is earthy but rich and delicious. I am a mushroom hater but am seriously addicted to this drink. I get mine with oat milk and my husband gets it the way it comes. I like Reborn Coffee, it's a quaint little store in the Whole Foods shopping center. I typically order a latte when I am here because I love the pretty designs that they make with the steamed milk and because they are so good. They also have some pastries in a case next to the register, I haven't tried any yet but will soon I'm sure. The staff is nice but they are very quiet, I think they just want to get the job done and quickly. I prefer the small shops to the corporate coffee houses such as Starbucks so I will continue to come here when I need a caffeine fix. read more

It's in the same shopping plaza as Whole Foods. Everyone that worked here was super kind and friendly. It is very dog friendly! They have cute little treats for your fur babies. They have 5 different types of cold brew on tap and also a kombucha. I'd definitely want to come back for the cold brew. The coffee was good, but it's hard to mess up a basic latte. I mostly liked it because of proximity to other stores, but once they hired unkind staff then started to enforce masks wearing regardless of customer's personal preference (but apparently, because of science or blind rules this spineless company likes to follow, you can sit down and take your mask off), it's easy to not want to go here and support cafes that like personal freedom and not enforce arbitrary rules. I wanted to give this place a fair review, just like all the other coffee shops I visit, but I couldn't even make it past the third sips. I ended up just leaving the whole drink in the dirty dish bin. Needless to say I didn't even bother logging it in my flavor profiles book. My single origin "flat white" was grossly over-extracted. The only taste left in the cup was a bitter over extracted tanen flavor. The milk texture was horrible, almost no integration, and foam separated imedeatly. The temperature was luke warm (and no I don't like my drinks extra hot, but damn atleast get it to 120degrees). The pumpkin spice was slightly better due to the sweetness masking the bitterness, but the drink still suffered from the same problems. PS: I also bought a bag of Ethiopian coffee; which was not labeled and thrown into a basket, of bags that where labeled for $17, so I didn't even realize I had actually been charged $22 till I was sent the receipt. In conclusion, I don't mind paying more for coffee if the quality is there. However, I spent little over $35 to received lackluster, monotone, customer service, sub par quality drinks, and the feeling of being over charged due to someone not labeling merch. This experience left more than one bad taste in my mouth. Would not recommend, would not revisit. read more

Continuing my search for the best study spot with the best chai lattes, I found myself at reborn coffee. located in the same plaza as Whole Foods and a bunch of other stores, parking wasn't the easiest. On the outside, it looks like a tiny little coffee shop but upon walking in, It feels super spacious with its high ceilings and seating arrangements. I noticed most customers usually come in to grab a drink and go so it won't be hard to find seating if you planned to stay and study for a while. There is at least one outlet near each of the couches so finding a place to charge wasn't an issue. I got my usual chai latte and I guess it was my lucky day because the barista accidentally poured too much chai and made me a large drink instead! The chai was sweet and just the way I like it! Oh how I wish I found this place sooner! I've had it bookmarked for ages and I thought about swinging by on my way finding the Wholefoods in Brea and lo and behold Wholefoods was LITERALLY next to this place! It was a chilly day so I ordered a hot drink, just a simple cappuccino and a cheese pastry. They did cute latte art on it ( very insta worthy ) I loved the pastry! Get it warmed up and it'll taste amazing! The coffee was a good enough kick for me. I was able to find a nice place to sit and get my work done. They have wifi!! I'm not going to get into too much detail here because we're on a coffee tour of this area of Orange County and this is stop #3 before revisiting a favored spot for lunch. But the affogato was excellent- and served in a bowl which made it more sizeable a portion compared to Dripp (which I went to last week), and some places in the Anaheim packing district (where I was first introduced to Affogato). The Ethiopian pour over was strong and delicious. So strong it left rings in the mug as I drank it, and delicious enough that I could drink it all up without wincing at its strength like I would at a Vietnamese coffee. This is another place i would gladly come back to. My only point of contention being that the lavender charcoal milk, my first choice for drinks on the detox menu (I've had two coffees from two places so far, I need to cleanse), wasn't available. read more

I love this coffee roasting place! Not only is it in the same plaza as Whole Foods and the new restaurants popping up, it is in a lovely location with plenty of parking and lots of space. I parked close and walked to the nice location. After consulting the menu, I chatted with the barista, who showed me his personal mint mix. So, I got a latte and he added the mint. He waited for my response and added a bit when I asked for more. It was DELICIOUS!! There were snacks, food, and several teas. My friend and I checked out the clothes and loved the cute logos. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather as we chatted. It's quite a popular place for studying and meeting with friends. Between Reborn Coffee and the salon, there is a nice fire pit. I was greeted with a hello and allowed to pick my drink. They brew a few cold brews at market price. You can check out the current offerings on a board to the left of the check stand. Ordered: Guatemalan Cold Brew. The coffee was very well brewed but it is unfortunate that it was stored at a warm temperature. My first sip was warm and you can catch all the notes and different undetones but it was warm. I gave it a quick stir to cool the rest of the beverage (it was a 90 degree day) but that caused the ice to dillute the coffee. Score: 3.5/5 Location: Clean, new, quiet, nice baristas. The brew was good and it is nice that they have a few selections to choose from for their cold brew. Most places only have one on hand. Another round of caffeine!!! I'm hitting up in the Brea section for coffee. This time, it's a place that's named Reborn, which is actually an Christian term called Born Again. I assumed it's more of an Christian coffee shop, based on the name itself. I was immediately given an hi and welcome by an inviting barista as I walked inside the building. Coffee: Since it was my first time here at Reborn. The barista was nice enough to tell me what they serve here and ask me question I was able to answer. Also, she offered me an sample of an dark coffee (cold) imported from Mexico. Pretty good stuff. At the end, I ordered an Ice Mocha Latte. Now, I've been going to coffee shops for an long time. I do know the quality of the latte should taste like. As I took an sip of my latte, I was wow'd by it. Finally, an coffee shop in Orange County other than Coffee Code did a great job maintaining the quality of their products. Not one other coffee shop that I've been to beside those two coffee shops in Orange County can top that. Gonna love it!!! Other: This one is real interesting. Got two macaroons (White chocolate and red velvet). And this is a real first for me, white chocolate is the blueish and/or greenish color macaroon, usually it's white... not this one. Most interesting thing I've ever came across. As far as taste of it goes, it was pretty good. They actually wrap the macaroons individually which is also nice. Service: Baristas here was very nice. There are many trends in coffee and perhaps in my forty something years of life I realize anomalies and patterns in all things. This for some is a horror that they wish to don dark glasses for and for others it's a wonderful secret lens into a world few see. Reborn from the start was difficult and there was uneasiness. Starts are easy yet post review is when my pencil is sharpened and we watch if treatment was genuine or an act in anticipation of a reward/review. Three stars is my rating. On the positive side the aesthetics are nice and the patio has seating. Interesting items are 2 electrical outlets on the southwest wall above the doors out to the patio. This place has been on my "to try" list and I was so happy to get to try their drinks during a Yelp Elite event. Their drinks were SO GOOD that I had to come back and bring a friend! I personally LOVE their Sunshine Smile (yuzu lemonade drink) which is served in a to-go plastic mason jar - so cute! It is such a light and refreshing drink with the right amount of sweetness. For those who don't know what yuzu is, yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit about the size of a tangerine and a little sour, which is why it's perfect to go as a lemonade! Their cold brew coffee is also on point! They use Califia Farms almond milk here (only the best of the best, of course) and they also offer other milk alternatives (a2, rice, coconut, soy, almond). Free wi-fi is also available and there are tables both inside and outside for those who want to hang around to chat or work. Delicious matcha blueberry drink, I got it with almond milk and the blueberry flavor was very strong tasting, which is exactly what I was going for! I added less sweetener and it was perfect--the man at the register was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. He recommended me to not get as much sweetener and I'm glad I followed suit since he was completely right! Finally, a trendy coffee shop in the North OC area! They mostly serve pour over coffees here, plus some specialty healthy juices. I tried a latte and paid extra to substitute regular milk out for almond milk, although they have a lot of different choices here, including soy, rice, etc. The latte was pretty disappointing, considering it was rather sour, only came in a small size, and cost well over $5. I'm definitely not the most sophisticated or discriminating coffee drinker, but I really don't see how the coffee can be worth the prices they're charging, as I'm pretty sure you're only paying for ambiance here. As for their other offerings, I tried a macaron, which had a pretty good texture, but I still prefer the ones at specialty bakeries instead. They have quite a few macaron flavors, which is nice if you're looking for variety. They sell muffins here too, but for some odd reason they only had a gluten-free blueberry option, which made the texture of the muffin kind of strange - not quite crumbly, nor soft. As I wasn't very impressed with either the coffee or pastries, I would mostly would only come back here for the A2 soft serve, as it is lactose-free and tastes pretty good, especially with their lightly salted root chips! I have only tried the sesame flavored soft serve, but it had a super subtle taste and didn't feel too heavy! I definitely think it's a bit more guilt-free than "real" ice cream, so I'll be back for this soon!!! read more
