    Vanilla Latte/Matcha Green Tea
    Evan K.

Been attending CSUF for 4 years now and never tried this place. My goal is to finish classes and go home but my GF bought me coffee so I can stay on campus longer... it worked! The shop is a little hut located between the Humanities building and Gordon Hall. I liked the matcha green tea because the flavor wasn't overpowering and tasted more sugary. The Vanilla Latte was great and honestly a top latte that I've had. Bagel was burn't but still good. Recommend both drink! Tips: theres tables all around and line can be long, just depends if it's passing period or not!

I visited Aloha Java for the first time this morning and had a pleasant experience. I've been working at CSUF for a couple years now and I still never got a chance to stop by until today! There was two people in line. One girl had a longer transaction but it was maybe because she had to get gift cards. My coworker and I ordered and I decided to get a hot small matcha green tea which came out to be $4.00. I thought the small is a little too small (LOL) but this drink and others were pretty reasonably priced. Our drinks were prepared rather quickly and you pick up in the back. My matcha green tea was just alright haha. It was rather sweet. I had ordered with light whipped cream but my drink didn't taste like quality fresh, matcha but more like a generic powder. It also tasted very vanilla, which I've grown to not enjoy as much. Overall the drink was okay, I think I'll definitely try to stick with the coffees next since they seem to have a great selection! Note: There is a 4% Customer Service Charge applied to all Credit Card transactions so my drink was $4 flat when I paid in cash. Overall, my experience for the drink was more of a 3-3.5ish star, rounded up to 4 for the nice staffers/customer service. I'd come back but maybe not get the matcha and get a coffee instead.

You want your coffee hot, Aloha Java offers the freshest, most piping hot coffee on campus! Centrally located on the campus of California State University, Fullerton between the Humanities building and University Hall, this tiny café hut is open for business during the summer months and intercession, making them a popular spot for faculty and staff. Aloha Java is the only campus eatery where you can get a toasted bagel with cream cheese. In addition to bagels, they have a good variety of croissants and breakfast muffins. Their beverage menu includes the standard selection of lattés, frappés, teas and Italian sodas one would expect to find at larger indoor seating cafés. Service is fast, efficient and friendly. Note: there is no longer a $0.75 surcharge for using your debit or credit card for purchases under $3. Open Mon-Thurs: 6:30am to 7pm, Fri: 6:30am to 1pm.

It is conveniently located next to the humanities building. several visits and never a problem!! Its reasonable as far as pricing goes so i think ill try to get something new every time i visit. Everything that i have tasted is great and fresh. Even when theres a line I will wait because they got the line down to a science. It moves real quick and a short wait time on the opposite side of where you order. I have tried several of the hot teas, cold iced teas, and flavored coffees.

I have been going to this place for the past 5 years and they just know what I always want. Everyone who works there is super nice and friendly, especially CONNIE!!! Great conversations and great drinks and great pasteries and great customer service and great place to sit since it's around a lot trees. It's nice and cool to sit outside where you can read and do your work!

Reasonably good coffee at a great price. Line is not that long. Coffee comes out quickly. Nice place to get a cup of joe and walk around campus

I'm going to get a pastry! #TreatYoSelf #Finals... but what's this sketchy paper wrapping

They have a great selection of pastries and sweet bars, along with lots of different drink options. I especially love that they have so many latte flavors to choose from. I decided to mix two flavors that I've had separately before, Rose and Toffee Nut, but had never tried together. It turned out to be such a delicious combination! The floral sweetness of the rose paired surprisingly well with the nutty, caramel-like flavor of the toffee. There are still so many latte flavors and pastries I haven't tried, so I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu. This is a great little spot for coffee and a sweet treat.

The inside of this place is quaint, a decent amount of seating and chill music. Probably a good study spot. Very clean too. I ordered the Caramel Bliss latte (got it half sweet)... it's a caramel latte with vanilla cold foam and caramel drizzle. The prices here are good! The coffee is advertised as $5.99 and after tax comes out to about $6.50 which is still cheaper than most coffee shops these days. The drinks itself tasted amazing! Not too sweet and great flavor. I liked that you can actually taste the coffee. I think since it has cold foam it's still on the sweeter side so if you don't like coffee too sweet maybe skip the foam.

I got so many pastries. There were no misses. My favorite of the bunch was the blueberry cake. The cake wasn't too sweet, was moist, fluffy, and tasty. I enjoyed the matcha cheesecake, garlic sea salt bread, and raspberry cruffin as well. I also grabbed an egg bacon bread and regular sea salt bread to-go for future breakfasts. Warmed up, these were great in the morning! To drink I had the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte which was not too sweet and yummy! Good matcha flavor and the banana pudding was creamy. Mixed together, it was good. I also enjoyed the crunchy bits in there as well as the real banana slices. I got it at the small size, but the portion was generous. It went well with the pastries. There's some inside seating and tables as well as a bathroom available. There is lots of free parking around the bakery. I went in the afternoon on a Sunday and it was still packed! I love how the bakers were constantly baking even in the afternoon, so they brought out fresh batches of their pastries. The service is good, they get the drinks out fast. The menu has unique specialty options aswell. There is a good amount of seating and it's a very welcoming shop. Cons: -The sizing is very small for the price. A plain vanilla latte is $6.40 which is a bit steep. However, I understand that most cafes are pretty pricey now a day. (With that being said this is one of the only places i'd spend my money on.) -I have tried some of their specialty lattes and they are extremely sweet(I would recommend getting less sweet if youre more of a espresso person) -Parking is pretty terrible apart from early mornings Overall: The pros overlook the cons for me and I love this coffee shop!
