Super fun bar, and if you are into pinball this is the place to be. They have a huge gaming theme going on. Tons of pinball machines and old school video games. Fun place to hang out with the family and super fun place to hang out late night and enjoy cocktails and games. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some refreshing cocktails and food. I got the pulled pork tacos, they were delicious. My boyfriend got some sort of ice cream sandwich rolled in cereal, cause he's a giant man child and that's what he eats for dinner. The Totchos are FIRE! All the items at this place sounded interesting and amazing. Was refreshing seeing a menu with new combinations of everyday items. The plumber rolls were so good the hubby ate em before I could get a pic. Super crispy tots, tastes like fresh made in house dressing, ripe tomatoes and piled high with ground beef. The beef tasted like a burger ......and not like pan fried hamburger if that makes sense. I am too full to try the Philly tacos.... I feel the plumber rolls would have been better for me to try fresh table side vs as a delivery item. Hubby loved them, but it is a little too much grease at once for me. This was my first time at Recbar.... If I was rating the games, I would give them 5 stars. Lots of retro games from the 80s ... and pinball... They have the most pinball machines I have seen in a long time. I enjoyed playing the retro games, (problem was that a few did not work.. took my tokens and then would not function) but all in all a great gaming night... Service was great, I was with a large party and we had great service... The appetizers were on par with most bar food... We had the wings, plumber rolls, burgertime rolls and several orders of Totchos.. all were very good... The problem I had was with my burger.. I ordered a Prime Burger medium... Let's just say the beef patty was hard as a rock... I could not even eat the beef patty... Thank goodness for the large number of tots that filled me up... Now normally I would have asked for a replacement burger, but for a Tuesday night, the place was covered up and with a large party... I just let it go.... I will definitely be back for nothing else than the games... .I may even give them another chance on a burger.. but we will see.... read more

Recbar 502 is an awesome place to bring the kids (kid friendly till 10 pm on the weekends), a first date or just wanting to get some grub! The games, food, drinks and atmosphere are top notch! We arrived and put our names on a waiting list. Gave the hostess our phone number and we were never called. When we went to check she advised us that she called 4x's. We had to go back on the wait list wait I gave her my phone number again... How can someone get your phone number wrong 2x's and refuse to look you in the eye and call your name? Truly one of my favorite bars in Louisville, esp since my fiancé is 5 yrs sober. It's always fun to meet friends here to play games, eat and drink. Their food is FIRE . Tochos... enough said, but also burgers, tacos, sandwiches, fried pickles, wings, fried chicken, and a monthly special. Basically a bunch of crunchy, tasty, slightly greasy in the best way possible comfort food. The only thing that would make it get 5 stars, even though it's awesome, would be a more expansive beer menu in my opinion. They've got quite a few different draft beers but for some reason they're never any that I like. Or maybe some classic cocktails since most seem drowned in sweetener. Either way I make it work since they've got quite a few drink options! I think everyone should go here for a date night at least once! After repeatedly hearing about Recbar, I finally got my chance to check it out today. It was everything I'd heard about and then some. They have a full bar with every selection of bourbon available I believe. I was a bit surprised to find Pappy van Winkle 23 year on the drink menu, but a single shot of it will cost you $200. I've longed to try this highly beheld beverage some call the apex of bourbon, but perhaps another time as today was about quick eats and a few games. If you love pinball as much as I do you've found a virtual paradise. Along with that is many other popular arcade games from the 80's & 90's that are sure to have been one of your favorites as well. I spent most of my game time in the pinball area where they have the best prices anywhere as well as the largest selection i am aware of in the area. The food is good, not a four or five star cuisine but sure to please your taste buds with some original creations. I got there and two of my brothers were already there and been waiting 10 minutes on their drink. Five minutes later there was finally brought out. I ordered mine and then 10 minutes later. Mine came. I told the waiter we wanted to go ahead and order, he took out his notepad and promptly turned to another table and started taking their order. 10 minutes later, he came back, took our order brought us our drinks to were right one was wrong. Five minutes after that another waitress came back with the wrong beer again and said she would be back and never came back. Our food was brought out. Mine did not match what it said on the menu and I asked to see a manager. The manager came out and said that my burger only came with one onion ring, even though the menu did not say that (it had a half of an onion ring on it). The manager said he would be right back with another onion ring.... He never returned. I politely told the waiter that I would not pay for the burger, but I would pay for the tots that I ate and my drinks. He said the manager changed my ticket and I could just pay for the drinks, which I did absolutely disappointing experience. read more

We have been to Recbar several times over the years and we always had great food and enjoyed the atmosphere. However when we decided to go last weekend our experience was not so good. While waiting on our table I waited in line for one of the two unisex restrooms. When the first restroom door opened a man walked out. When I walked in I noticed right away that the toilet hadn't been flushed and I discovered there wasn't any running water in that restroom which tell me several people had already used that restroom, didn't flush the toilet and most importantly didn't wash their hands. I turned around and immediately walked back out. GROSS!!!! I'm told the other restroom's toilet seat was bearly hanging on so that one wasn't much better. Why there wasn't an Out of Order sign on the restroom door with no running water is beyond me but it was enough of a reason for us to take our business elsewhere....still grossed out. read more

I'm disappointed. I was really looking forward to checking out RecBar as I saw it advertised on Facebook. They have an array of food dishes, of which I didn't get a chance to try because my husband and I sat at a table that no one came to wait on. So since no one came to our table we decided to just play a few games. The games were fun, they have a huuuuge selection of pinball games and old-school game- it took me back to my childhood immediately. But it also reminded how old I'm getting lol. My hand-eye coordination isn't what it used to be. I kept losing lol. But Anyhoooooo anywhere I am with hubby, we have a great time but I probably won't be back to this place. read more

RecBar has clearly thought out the reopening process. They have spaced out their tables plenty, they're constantly cleaning, and give ample opportunities to clean your hands and games. The games are spaced as usual, but only every other game is turned on so you're not playing next to another person. They offer a cool spin on typical bar food. It's been on my bookmark for a while to try out and I'm glad I did! We went on Valentines Day assuming everywhere else would be packed. The wait on a Friday wasn't too bad, it was about 20-25 mins. During your wait you can walk around (the place is huge on the inside), visit the bar for a drink, or play the many arcade games available (bring your spare dollars!). The food was delicious. The tots were hot, fresh, & crunchy. The queso on the tots were delicious. I could've eaten just the tots alone and given this place 5 stars for tots and atmosphere. We ordered the southern burger and subbed the side for their Mac. For the price, this was a good portion! The burger patty was thick, the pimento was on point, and the Mac was oooey gooey cheesy. They have a good selection of beer, cans are a little pricey ($5/can mainly) but I forgot to look at the drafts available. Our server was nice and attentive. You can't come here and be bored - there's so much to do and look at. I recommend coming here with friends, for dates, or even family night. Give this place a try - there's plenty of parking too. read more
