After Isaac arrived to inspect our chimney inside our fireplace, in the attic and on top of our roof, he determined everything looked securely connected with no issues. He determined since it was so cold and the heat from having the fireplace on was only expansion noises. The technician was there for less than 10 minutes and charged him over $300 for a repair that involved no new parts. Further, the technician gave him a bogus invoice that indicated that he had done a "Level II Inspection per NFPA 211 standards". Nothing in that inspection was to his fireplace or to inspect his home. Additionally, when he called the office to complain about the charges, the supervisor actually amended the invoice to take away all of the bogus info on it, but refused to lower the invoice price. Absolute scam artists.

Communication remained inconsistent even after the owner became involved. I understand that schedules can be busy, but clear communication and follow-through are essential. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. When a company cannot reliably provide an estimate or respond to basic inquiries, it raises concerns about how they would manage a larger project. There are many quality contractors who value their customers' time and work hard to earn their business. Based on my experience, HBR did not meet those expectations.
