I replaced the lower control arms, struts, tie rod ends, ball joints, sway bar links, and the passenger knuckle of a 2014 Toyota sienna minivan. Something was odd. It dove and rocked in dangerous ways. I took it to Firestone for an alignment. No change and they could not figure it out. I took it to Toyota of Folsom. That was a joke. They gave me no useful information and a ridiculous $10,000 repair diagnosis for a completely unrelated and nonexistent problem. No useful information about why the car was driving strangely. I took it to my regular Toyota Mechanic. Still no new information. I was referred to Recycle Smog by an Auto Electrician. I explained what the van was doing. They took it for a test drive and in about an hour and a half finally told me what was going on. I'd put the wrong steering knuckle on the passenger side. (FWD instead of AWD!) all for about $60! Great place for a smog check! No appointment needed as I did a walk in and got in right away. I didn't pass the first smog check because my car has this evg monitor that needs to be on in order for it to pass. Knowing nothing about cars I wasn't sure what I had to do. However, the man was very nice as he was able to help me figure it out. After that, it was a pass. This place has great customer service as they are quick, friendly, and very helpful! I will be coming here again and definitely recommend to everyone. As for the price, I'm guessing it varies depending on your car. read more

When I arrived, I approached the guy working for Recycle smog and asked him about the wait time and if they were a star certified smog inspection shop. He responded, "30 minutes. About 30 minutes". I had my DMV registration notice in hand to show him but he walked away from our conversation. I waited the 30 minutes and had to approach him again to find out how much longer I would have to wait, as I held up my DMV registration to show him what I was in need of for service. He then said, "Why you no show me this before? We don't do this. We're not star station". I wasted 30 minutes standing in over 100 degrees to get blown off. Not once while I was standing near the entrance or walking by the openings of the facility did anyone ask if I needed anything or why I was there. Zero in customer service. read more

Fast! I needed a smog done fast and I had to do it during my 1 hour lunch break. First thing in the morning I googled nearby smog shops and this one popped up. Called to get an appt and he said bring it in on your lunch! So I did! I was having difficulty finding the shop so I called their number, he directed me to the right area and came outside to greet me. Filled out an invoice and was told it'd take about 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, passed smog and results were already submitted to dmv! I can't thank them enough for being so efficient and quick! Needed to get smog done on my car in order to renew my registration. Heard about this place in Rancho Cordova Recycle Smog from a friend of my earlier this week, so today I decided to go there to get this taken care of. From the moment I got there I was a surprised and actually offended on how inappropriate the customer service was or lack there of. I am not sure if it was because the guys there who are running that place and I actually speak the same language or that's just how they are, but it was surprising based on the previous yelp reviews I read before coming here. One of the workers named Yevgeniy told me to drive my car onto their testing station. As I started my car he said that for a second there my car spit out smoke and he was sure that it wouldn't pass. I asked him what could he recommend for me to do to fix this, he said that if I will pay him a little bit more money he will have a pass notice in my hand in couple of minutes. I was taken back by this.... and of course I didn't do business with them today. I did go to another smog station place the same day and my car passed with out any issues. read more
