Best smog/alignment shop in town!! Got in right away without any waiting!! Had to get my car alignment and came in, within 10 minutes car was up and getting worked out!! No more then 30 minutes and I was out of there!! Recommend it 10/10

I replaced the lower control arms, struts, tie rod ends, ball joints, sway bar links, and the passenger knuckle of a 2014 Toyota sienna minivan. Something was odd. It dove and rocked in dangerous ways. I took it to Firestone for an alignment. No change and they could not figure it out. I took it to Toyota of Folsom. That was a joke. They gave me no useful information and a ridiculous $10,000 repair diagnosis for a completely unrelated and nonexistent problem. No useful information about why the car was driving strangely. I took it to my regular Toyota Mechanic. Still no new information. I was referred to Recycle Smog by an Auto Electrician. I explained what the van was doing. They took it for a test drive and in about an hour and a half finally told me what was going on. I'd put the wrong steering knuckle on the passenger side. (FWD instead of AWD!) all for about $60! Thanks guys! I thought my van was hopeless! read more

Great place for a smog check! No appointment needed as I did a walk in and got in right away. I didn't pass the first smog check because my car has this evg monitor that needs to be on in order for it to pass. Knowing nothing about cars I wasn't sure what I had to do. However, the man was very nice as he was able to help me figure it out. After that, it was a pass. This place has great customer service as they are quick, friendly, and very helpful! I will be coming here again and definitely recommend to everyone. As for the price, I'm guessing it varies depending on your car. read more

My BMW ActiveHybrid was due for a smog this week and I was in a pinch. I looked for the closest smog location by my house and called. I asked how much it would cost and if they could get me in today. I was quoted $55 and I was able to bring by my car. It looked busy, but they squeezed me in and I was done within 30 mins or so. They were fast and efficient. The mechanic even noticed a few things and gave me advice on my car. I am very thankful! read more

Today 6 Aug 2021. 1992 Silver Toyota. Thank you Sergi and the Bicycle Rider (sorry, I did not get your name). Referral for Brake and Light inspection. Brakes were good, but had some action items to correct three lights then come back. Turns out one of the lights required some adjustments I was unable to do. Had to get my car smoged, they made it so quick and easy and it's been my second time going to them and it just reminds me how much I liked going there in the first place. When I arrived, I approached the guy working for Recycle smog and asked him about the wait time and if they were a star certified smog inspection shop. He responded, "30 minutes. About 30 minutes". I had my DMV registration notice in hand to show him but he walked away from our conversation. I waited the 30 minutes and had to approach him again to find out how much longer I would have to wait, as I held up my DMV registration to show him what I was in need of for service. He then said, "Why you no show me this before? We don't do this. We're not star station". I wasted 30 minutes standing in over 100 degrees to get blown off. Not once while I was standing near the entrance or walking by the openings of the facility did anyone ask if I needed anything or why I was there. Zero in customer service. read more

Fast! I needed a smog done fast and I had to do it during my 1 hour lunch break. First thing in the morning I googled nearby smog shops and this one popped up. Called to get an appt and he said bring it in on your lunch! So I did! I was having difficulty finding the shop so I called their number, he directed me to the right area and came outside to greet me. Filled out an invoice and was told it'd take about 15 minutes. 15 minutes later, passed smog and results were already submitted to dmv! I can't thank them enough for being so efficient and quick! I came back to work 30 minutes later and could still enjoy the rest of my lunch. Thank you! read more

Needed to get smog done on my car in order to renew my registration. Heard about this place in Rancho Cordova Recycle Smog from a friend of my earlier this week, so today I decided to go there to get this taken care of. From the moment I got there I was a surprised and actually offended on how inappropriate the customer service was or lack there of. I am not sure if it was because the guys there who are running that place and I actually speak the same language or that's just how they are, but it was surprising based on the previous yelp reviews I read before coming here. One of the workers named Yevgeniy told me to drive my car onto their testing station. As I started my car he said that for a second there my car spit out smoke and he was sure that it wouldn't pass. I asked him what could he recommend for me to do to fix this, he said that if I will pay him a little bit more money he will have a pass notice in my hand in couple of minutes. I was taken back by this.... and of course I didn't do business with them today. I did go to another smog station place the same day and my car passed with out any issues. read more

It's smog check up the road, and so I needed to drive it about 50 miles or so to "reset the car's computer, " before it would pass . I decided to stop here for an oil change before I did that, as the car was way overdue. I was helped by Mike. He's helped me before, he's always thorough, friendly, and helpful. He got me checked in, he told me the different options for an oil change, and I told him which one I wanted. They did the oil change, and I was out in about 15 to 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable. Everything was great. Before I left, on the side, I happened to mention that I had needed the oil change because of the smog check. He said, oh, before you take the car back to the smog shop, stop in here, we will do a pretest to make sure you drove enough to reset the computer. I said, no charge? Nope That was nice of him. I drove 45 miles "up the hill" to Pollock Pines, to look at all of the pretty new snow. I came back, it took less than five minutes to do the pretest, and he told me, "green lights all the way." I took the car back to the smog shop and passed with flying colors. As I mentioned, I've always gotten great service here at Danny's. Thank you, Mike, for taking that extra step for me. I truly appreciate it. I will be back.

There were like three or four people waiting, so I said I would just come back first thing in the morning. I came back at opening time, and got right in. I was helped by Godfrey. Very professional, very personable, very friendly. We chatted a bit as he was doing the paperwork. My car goes in for the smog check, and unfortunately, it didn't pass. I had just changed the battery yesterday, and that had basically "rebooted" the Car's computer. He said I needed to drive the car about 50 miles or so, to bring the computer back to where it needed to be, so that it would pass the test. I drove 45 miles "up the hill" to Pollock Pines to look at all of the pretty brand, new snow, and then brought the car back. This time, it passed with flying colors. If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Have fun out there & do your research!
