I've been here quite a few times before, I have always gotten great service, but I never did a review. My car failed. It's smog check up the road, and so I needed to drive it about 50 miles or so to "reset the car's computer, " before it would pass . I decided to stop here for an oil change before I did that, as the car was way overdue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was helped by Mike. He's helped me before, he's always thorough, friendly, and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He got me checked in, he told me the different options for an oil change, and I told him which one I wanted[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They did the oil change, and I was out in about 15 to 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable. Everything was great. Before I left, on the side, I happened to mention that I had needed the oil change because of the smog check. He said, oh, before you take the car back to the smog shop, stop in here, we will do a pretest to make sure you drove enough to reset the computer. I said, no charge? Nope That was nice of him. I drove 45 miles "up the hill" to Pollock Pines, to look at all of the pretty new snow. I came back, it took less than five minutes to do the pretest, and he told me, "green lights all the way." I took the car back to the smog shop and passed with flying colors. As I mentioned, I've always gotten great service here at Danny's. Thank you, Mike, for taking that extra step for me. If you look at the rare 1 star reviews, there are numerous inconsistencies, versus the numerous 5 stars in addition to the transparency provided by this shop. Today, I requested a diagnostic of a specific issue. I was already aware of what it "could" be and Danny took the time to show me what the issue was...a wheel bearing. WOMEN BEWARE! I came here, by myself, as a woman. to get my car fixed. They 100% priced gouged me on the price of the part. The part they said they got from the dealership was $240. they charged me $480 for that part! I called all the local dealerships and got the $240 price. Its what every woman fears going alone to aet your car fixed and here there are, gouging women. Its shameful and sad for society. They should be investigated. Came in for a problem and was so pleasantly surprised by their amazing service. They offer shuttle service if you live 5-10 miles from the shop. I stupidly forgot the keys to my home when they dropped me off. My response to Danny's. What you recommended is clearly stated in black and white on the invoice with the diagnostics which accompanied my original post and was also expressed verbally by you in your shop. You had plenty of time to perform a thorough diagnostic, yet you failed to do so. If you remember me, you'll remember my reaction when you told me I needed 4 new fuel injectors. That didn't sound right because I had major smog repairs and testing done a few months prior and there was no mention of fuel leaks ANYWHERE! In your Yelp response you stated: "We recommended to replace all 4 fuel injectors and inspect the fuel rail during repairs due to the age of the vehicle." So due to the age of the car, WHILE REPLACING THE FUEL INJECTORS THAT DIDN'T NEED REPLACING , you were planning to diagnose the fuel rail at this time? Did I understand this correctly? Surely, you're joking! I brought my car into your shop SPECIFCALLY to be diagnosed for a fuel leak. This was the actual diagnosis and recommendation by Danny's on April 2, 2025: Fuel - "found vehicle is leaking fuel, INSPECTED FUEL SYSTEM AND FOUND ALL 4 FUEL INJECTORS ARE SATURATED WITH FUEL. SUGGEST REPLACING ALL 4 FUEL INJECTORS." These are your words verbatem. Isn't the fuel rail considered a part of the fuel system? The answer is YES!!!! If you inspected the fuel system as stated, you would've discovered the rail was l[[HIGHLIGHT]]eaking - NOT SURE WHAT YOUR DEFENSE IS! A knowledgeable professional will tell you that it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that all 4 fuel injectors would fail at once. It wouldn'[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]t hurt you to consult one. I'm curious: What's your excuse with the coolant leak misdiagnosis? The power steering hose wasn't leaking either, which I suspected was erroneous. Don't you think it's time you took responsibility for your inept skill set and predatory business practices? I'm embarrased for you that I had to post this review. read more

I brought my car to Danny's Automotive to have the turbocharger replaced and get a routine oil change, and it turned into an absolute nightmare. First, they didn't install the turbocharger correctly, which led to major performance issues right after I picked it up. Then I found out they even messed up the oil change--something that should be basic and straightforward. It's beyond frustrating to pay for work that not only wasn't done right but actually caused more damage to my car. My car was dying and I looked up the nearest automotive shop. I was glad it was Danny's! My car died right in the parking lot and they said they do same day repairs. It was already late in the day so I didn't expect it to be done the same day. They were great on communication with what needed to be repaired and cost. It was the water pump and possible extensive repairs. Fortunately they only fixed the water pump and it was okay. Appreciate the honesty. My car was fixed and ready to go the next day. Had another mechanic work on a window that would not roll up, he replaced the motor. Then only months later it stopped working so he bought another motor for the window. It did not work so he put plastic with tape over my window so no rain could get in. He scheduled me to have a friend of his supposed mechanic look at it for $200. I canceled the appointment It was gonna cost too much money. I had resigned myself to potentially driving around with plastic over my window through the winter. I had seen Danny's business in Rancho Cordova several times and looked it up on the Internet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took a chance and went in there on a Saturday morning and told them my predicament. They were polite, professional, and said they would figure it out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just give them an hour.
