The pricing is great and there's a young man by the name of Paden there who was super nice & ultra helpful. It is a Sunday so I'm surprised that they were open. Five stars.Even though they were shorthaned when I stopped in the technician got me in and out with no proplems.

Fast and affordable. Went in without an appointment and was in and out, within 20 mins. My vehicle has a number of legal modifications, and staff was very versed with recognition and evaluating CARB EO documents and stickers. Other smog stations wouldn't even evaluate my vehicle. This is only my 8th Yelp review. Like many of you, I use Yelp on a regular basis to look for the right business for my needs. I only write reviews when I truly feel that one is due, and this experience would be one of those situations.  I arrived at Smog It Up! earlier today to smog check my 2010 Lexus. George got to work right away, told me the whole process would take about 10 minutes. The waiting room is nice and tidy, with A/C blasting. Geroge asked me questions about my car for him to complete the test right, and he was very professional throughout. The process wrapped up in less than 10 minutes.  The whole process was such a breeze; it made me feel like I could deal with a smog check every year. If there are other stations much closer to my home, I'd still visit Smog It Up! for all my future smog checks (I've got 2 vehicles that require tests biennially). Absolutely excellent experience here and I highly recommend. I called prior and George was friendly, conversational and helpful. He gave me an idea of the timeline and, since I had just changed the battery in the car, explained they could test that prior to doing the smog test. I arrived around noon on a Wednesday, got right in and the test took maybe 15 minutes? The pricing was more affordable than the competition - even without a coupon - and George was pleasant and nice to do business with. For the record, I had been going to another Folsom smog test place for many years. I had called them twice and both times was shocked by the curt and unhelpful response, as well as the higher fee. I'm writing this review on behalf of my mom who doesn't drive much but needed to get a smog check for her car and asked for my help. I wanted to give this place a try because it was close to her house and i happened to have gotten my car from julia and georges' car dealership years ago and had a really positive experience. their shop was clean, the smog check was very quick (we were in and out in 20 minutes), and they were super friendly and knowledgable, explaining the whole process clearly in a way that both my mom and i could understand. love a wholesome family business! quite literally a mom and pop shop. happy to have them in the neighborhood and taking good care of people like my mom! read more

I made an appointment on Monday for 4:30 on Wednesday the 3rd. The owner had mentioned they were going to the rodeo that night so I said I would get there as early as possible. I left work early on Wednesday and arrived right before 4:00. The place was locked up with no message on the front. There was no answer when I called and no response to my direct message. I waited a little while and finally left. I received a text the next morning apologizing saying they had problems with their AC. (They should have notified me if this is true.) They did offer to meet me at the shop again but I had events planned with my family because it was the 4th of July.
