Ordered delivery via Doordash - food arrived piping hot and in a reasonable amount of time. The flavor of the shrimp with eggplant was good, though I prefer my Chinese eggplant softer - could have been cooked a little longer for my taste. There was a decent amount of shrimp at least. It came with a container of white rice. The hot and sour soup was actually spicy, I liked it. The General Tso's with pork fried rice was just ok, nothing special about it and not as good as others we have had, which came with an egg roll. read more

I was in the mood for Chinese and ordered from this restaurant. I called in my order of the shrimp and broccoli lunch special. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. I walked into a clean, kept restaurant and was greeted by a very nice lady. She grabbed my food and I paid and left. When I ate, the food was very good and had a good portion for a lunch special. In a strip mall together with an MVC and a liquor store which sells lotto tickets. They also sell homemade iced tea and bobba teas in different flavors. Lunch specials with egg roll, wonton or egg drop soup for under $8. Pad Thai comes with choice of meat, chicken, shrimp and tofu/ vegetables. It was tasty but not authentic Thai flavor. I live in Garfield and I have not been able to find another place with *good* Chinese food. I thought I would never find a place until we took the chance and ordered from this restaurant. So glad I tried it though!. There shrimp red curry was amazing, as were the shrimp dumplings, spare ribs, general tsao's, and bubble tea. I wish they offered their bubble tea with other additives such as smashed taro root or sweet potatoes at the bottom instead of tapioca pearls. They're tapioca was sweet and and soft, don't get me wrong, I just miss the way I used to get bubble tea in china. That's the only criticism I have though and clearly it's an extremely minor one. Red Bowl is my new favorite Chinese/Thai place to get delivered to my job. I have never dined in so this review is based solely on their delivery. Their lunch specials are great and their prices are really reasonable. Lunch specials are between $5-$7 and they all come with the option of pork fried rice, white rice or brown rice and wonton, egg drop or hot and sour soup. Their food is really fresh tasting. I have yet to try something I don't like. Their delivery is a bit slow but maybe because the trip from Wallington to Clifton is a bit far. They usually take about 30-45 minutes so they're not like your typical chinese delivery place that always comes in 15 minutes. read more

Next to DMV so if you're stuck waiting in line while the county deputy tries to strong arm you from entering the building you could always send someone over to get take out. By the time you're allowed in you'll be done with your meal anyways. The interior atmosphere is run of the mill Americanized Chinese take out. The menu is a little more exotic than Americanized Chinese including never seen before dishes (Sun Devil, Hot Lovers) and Thai offerings. Ordered chicken teriyaki, Sun Devil, and normal sweet and sour chicken and the food was pretty good. Chicken teriyaki with lo-mein is a little tough to come by so it's good Red Bowl does theirs well. A little bit tastier than Americanized Chinese. Given the menu variety and slightly more gourmet approach to cooking the food Red Bowl gets a four, for now. read more

I like this place! I feel like it's a step up the regular Chinese food places. I had the general tso tofu with vegetables fried rice and it was really good. Lunch special, which is everyday not just Mon-fri. I ordered there and got my food in 10 min, no issues. Probably might be my new go to Chinese spot. read more

Great food and customer service. It was such a delight. We came at a time when they were about half an hour to closing and was greeted with great service. Food was not rushed and tasted delicious! Their green curry is filled with flavor and we even got free desserts. Their Thai ice tea is perfect, not a lot of sugar which is great. The uni was so fresh! We ordered one to try cause many restaurants do not have fresh uni. After having one, we had to order another one. Love this place! Everyone was raving about the crab rangoons so I figured I had to give it a try. They were not lying! The crab rangoons are the best! The crab ran goons are super crispy and flavorful; veggie fried rice was served spicy, awesome; pork with cabbage, slightly bland but veggies still crisp. Decided to try this place out after seeing the Yelp reviews. Red Bowl is basically a take-out place with some seating. We ate in and were served by the young son. Don't expect anything fancy.....styrofoam plates and plastic forks here. We ordered some basic Chinese-American dishes. Chicken and broccoli, pork lo mein and Happy Family. Everything was pretty good. The meat in the Happy Family was tender, which was a big plus, although the seafood part of the Happy Family was a bit sparse. I think there was two each of the scallops, shrimp and lobster compared to an abundance of beef and chicken. Overall everything was good and what would be expected at a Chinese take-out spot. Wow what a surprise. I walked in with my friend and thought it was going to be a plain chinese place. But their menu actually has a ton of Thai options. I had the Green Curry Chicken and it really was better then other local Thai restaurants versions in my book. (1/2 the cost too) They give a really generous portion of brown rice with a big tub of curry sauce. The chicken was very good within it and so were the veggies. My friend ordered the crab ragoons which had to been homemade by the look and taste of it. The family running it is extremely nice and treat their customers better then most joints. I am going to go back again to try their other dishes as soon as I have another craving for Thai food. ( I rarely give 5 stars out, so 4 is pretty damn good) read more

So I do this with a heavy heart as this place was a go to weekly for dinner. Loved in Wallington for over 6 years now and ordered from this place thousands of times. It got to the point where they new us by name and order. The ladies that work there are absolutely wonderful and total sweethearts. The food is good and like I said I would order weekly from them. Placed a smaller order tonight as I'm getting over being sick and wasn't to hungry. They are normally extremely fast and at the door within 45 mins. This time I Waited for over an hr and a half. Not a big deal as I'm not that type of customer to complain about food being late. The major issue and what completely shocked and down right pissed me off was when I called to ask if everything was ok. Spoke to a man this time and was immediately answered with " it's on its way!! " and hung up on. In a date of disbelief I waited and it set in. I called back to cancel the order and the same man picked up, " yea yea yea what I said it's on its way!" I was barely able to say cancel my order before he hung up again. Still pissed and really wanting to go to the restaurant and drag this man across the parking lot. I was able to calm down and think before heading on a one way trip to jail. The delivery driver calls me and it's the normal female I deal with. She apologized a million times and I felt bad telling her I will no longer be ordering from them due to the unacceptable behavior of this rude and unprofessional person they have working for them. Maybe when he costs them more loyal customers they'll replace him or at least tell him to never answer the phone. Unfortunately I will no longer order from this restaurant ever again. Well we've been there a bunch of times since the first visit. The portions are still huge and tasty. Still not thrilled with the chow fun, but the fried rice makes up for it. Pineapple fried rice is delish, not greasy and they can make it with brown rice (a little healthier after the gym). Overall, good food and very fast service. Delicious food and friendly service. My family and I always order from here and the wait was usually no longer than 30 minutes ( 15 min if you pick it up! ). The cashiers are always kind and whenever we pick up the order, the chef always says hello. The food's also very affordable. It's clean and there's a wide selection of foods to order. It used to be my favorite take out for Chinese...but unfortunately it has turned into like every other Chinese place around here... I don't know why Chinese restaurants do that they are really really good for a couple years and then that's it they just go right into chitter. The Wonton soup used to be firm now they're( wontons) soggy. The crab rangoon was dry and it hardly had any filling in it... and everything was overcooked it was like 9 million degrees when it got here.. ..I mean it's a good place but like I said he used to be 5 star now it's down to two. Ordered takeout this evening and i picked it up. I don't eat meat...got home and realized I was given Pork fried rice rather than vegetable fried rice. I called and was told to bring it back. I'm 7 months pregnant with a 2.5 year old in tow, so that wasn't happening. Wasn't offered to have it delivered. I asked for refund, but was told they'd credit my phone number/account.
