We went to bed around midnight so the people's voices (noise) in the evening didn't bother us too much. The walls are thin if that bothers you. Had a terrible experience at the Red Carpet Inn. My siblings and I needed a place to stay for just one night in Medford, OR. We read the reviews for this Motel and after the experience we had I am shocked that they are rated 4 stars. Don't believe those reviews! The Motel is located in a sketchy part of downtown, we didn't feel safe. We decided to still give it a chance because it was only for one night. Once we got into the room we noticed a lot of foul things. The sofa/pullout had lots of stains and when I say stains they looked like they were from inappropriate acts (if you know what I mean). We were grossed out. We decided to check the bed and of course they were lots of different colored stains on the sheets and mattress. Not only did we find stains on the sheets, the sheets smelled like wet laundry/feet. We also found a living Moth under the sheets. Once we lifted the sheet off the bed, the Moth flew out. We were so grossed out by all of the uncleanliness of the room. We decided we didn't want to stay for the night and found another Hotel. We asked if we could get our money back, but the owner was not in at the moment so the receptionist told us to call back tomorrow. When we contacted the owner of the Motel we explained the situation to him and he flipped out and was extremely unprofessional. He threatened to call the cops if we tried to come back for our money or if we called him back. He abruptly hung up the phone. It was the most unprofessional thing I have ever experienced. The hotel we ended up going to was only 5 minutes away from Red Carpet Inn and it was 100% cleaner, safer and professional. Go to the Inn at The Commons. Seriously worth the extra $15. Don't go to the Red Carpet Inn! So gross and unprofessional! read more

Just spent 2 nights at the Willis Texas location. The best thing I can say is it's not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. As for this one, the room upon entering has a musky body odor smell, the AC barely functions. Found 2 cock roaches in the room, one dead, one alive. The towels were not much larger than a dish towel, and hard and thin and as rough as sand paper. The king size bed was comfortable, but considering the other conditions I worried about bed bugs. My wife booked it and paid ahead of time because it was the only option near some family we were visiting. Next time I'll drive the extra few miles to Conroe. read more

Some times you might like to spoil yourself and spend an extra few bucks on a super fancy place with room service and a big tub and nice bouncy bed. And sometimes you don't. If we spent more than $70 bucks on a double bed-room, I'd be surprised. This place had a kitchenette as well, complete with a stove, sink and fridge. What the... totally didn't expect that! A pawn shop across the street with a mini-mart next door to buy beer, soda and cigarette paper for ... um... smoking. ;) (Dammit, how did we forget SNACKS?!). And a diner in the parking lot of the motel to grab breakfast in the morning. And the little strip of bars and clubs was a measly 5 blocks north of us. If we didn't have to drive our equipment around, we could have stumbled back drunk, no problem. (Which would have been safer, considering the HUGE POLICE presence in Medford at closing time. WTF?!) Biggest plus: the bathroom had a really kick ass fan in it. This is a necessity when you're traveling with a band. It beats having to hold your breath for five minutes while you relieve yourself. Downside: they booked someone into the room next door to us. Big mistake. We got in trouble with our neighbors for keeping them up laughing uncontrollably at the google descriptions of horse porn websites at 3am. read more

I gave it three stars because as far as cheap places goes, it does well! There isn't much going for this place besides the fact you can sleep here, but everything was clean, our car didn't get broken into and it was quiet; basically a good in-between place. It has a new tv, a mini fridge/microwave, shampoo and soaps and everything seemed washed(though who can say for sure! I didn't find any pubes, so thats a bonus) its just....well....you get what you pay for. But I'd stay there again, lol. read more

Great place! Nice little gem in Medford. Actually has red carpet! And lovely red doors mark each individual haven. Clean, well-maintained, and very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and updated bathroom. Nice tv, fridge, microwave, and menus for local places on the workdesk, plus activity brochures for the tourists. Free WiFi and parking for guests. Everything you need.... and extra: jetted tubs, oh my! Such a nice surprise. (In their larger suite you can have a full Jacuzzi tub!) Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it! Awesome place to stop, relax and rest up for the last leg of a long road trip. Just like stopping by your own little apartment for a refresher, home away from home. Very comfy. read more

Not really worth the money we paid for our single room ($80). We have stayed in similar places for around 35 or 40 dollars a night. Not cleaned very well and the bathroom door had a hole (looked like someone had punched it). The sheets and bedding seemed clean! But the bed was very run down and well used. NOTE: This review is all about customer service. We were on our way through from Portland to the Bay Area. We had already gone through a big fuss with another local inn that took forever to get resolved. Most of it stemming from the fact that booking.com has a habit of overbooking rooms from these smaller motels/inns. So you can't know for sure if the room is available if you are booking it the day of. The last place told us to book through our chosen site because "they often have rooms or prices that we can't give you at the front desk." Then they immediately told me the room was not available, causing an hour of arguing and canceling via support 800 numbers. ANYWAY, we called Red Carpet Inn who told us they did have a king room for a good deal. We then show up 2 min later to find out that he just realized they did not have anything. We were very confused and frustrated again. However, he offered to call up their sister business, a nicer hotel that was an exit closer to Ashland, where we wanted to be anyway. I asked if the price would be the same and he offered to see what he could do. He asked his friend at the other place if they could come down from their rate (~$88-$95) to his (~$60) and they said yes! We drove one exit south, got there, checked in, and had a great comfy stay that we couldn't have gotten without his help. LONG STORY SHORT: They will help you if they make a mistake. I was a little scared after reading some reviews, but figured for $50 it was worth a risk. I was pretty surprised, our room was REALLY clean. It didn't have any amenities, no coffee maker, single ply toilet paper, I mean it IS a cheap hotel. But it was clean, we didn't get scabies, it was quiet, the woman who checked us in was really friendly and was happy to make a few suggestions for close by restaurants as we were starving when we got into town. I would definitely stay here again if I need a cheap room. It is the least "sleazy" of the cheap hotels I have stayed in and was pleasantly satisfied. read more

I stayed at the red carpet for 2 nights and I can say I WILL NEVER STAY AGAIN! When I checked in the girl was very snobby and I thought I might of accidentally given her an extra $20 but after she counted it she didn't say anything so on the second day I gave her too much and of course she didn't say a thing just took the money counted it and gave me a receipt for the amount the room cost NOT the amount I gave her! Also when I paid the second day she told me that she needed to come in and clean my room even though I had just got here the night before and hadn't even had time to mess anything up. My boyfriend works graveyard and had just got to sleep at about 7am and was still sleeping, I told her that and that the room was did not need to be cleaned but she said it is her policy that she needs to clean it every day. I know it's just because she is nosey and wants to our room but the only reason I paid for another day was so my boyfriend could sleep because he worked all night but she did not care. VERY VERY RUDE I Dont know when this motel got to be such a crappy experience to stay at but I don't plan to give them another dollar ( especially not another extra dollar) to this scammer!! read more

You got your standard coffee pot, TV, mini-fridge, 2 plastic cups, shampoo, conditioner, etc... Comfort: Towels - Clean. Comforters, Sheets, Mattress, Boxspring, Headboard - no bugs. Mirrors - no streaks. AC - working. Wi-Fi - working. Electronic Door Locks - Check. Very minimal traffic sounds. The building exterior is adequately lighted. I slept well. Convenience: Within walking distance to Main Street, a ton of restaurants (by Medford standards), and the Winco grocery store. They also have a continental breakfast, but really, who cares? For $10, you can get an oversized meal just a few blocks away, and it'll last you much longer. This place was so comfortable, the owner so friendly, I came back a second time. This place is truly a bargain. The rooms are HUGE and have a fridge, iron, microwave, large bathroom, couch,and very comfortable beds. Rooms were very clean. I honestly liked this place more than the $150 hotel I stayed at near Yosemite. This place had way more channels than normal motels. The double bedroom was absolutely huge it was more of an apartment I loved it...! The non-smoking rooms were actually non-smoking...! This place is a gem wonderful diamond in the rough...! Full kitchen with full-size fridge there's a stove and microwave... Pots pans and dishes are provided for cooking and eating... There's even a mini coffee maker... There are two barstools in the kitchen area with the countertop and a separate two-person table in the room... Full bath tub... The room/apartment was spotless and well managed...! One night stay on a weekend here in a two bed room was only 60$...! This place was wonderful and I will definitely be staying here every single time I'm in the area... This place is was a complete ripoff. When I arrived here there was suspicious people already hanging around in the parking lot. We let that slide for the time being and got ourselves a room. When we walked in the new renovations seemed decent but unequal to the room size. I was going to bunk on the pullout couch because I was traveling with my sisters but a after few dusty smacks and a interesting stain... I decided I was going to sleep on the bed with my sisters. We started to take the sheets off the bed to find more "interesting" stains. After further examination we found a moth underneath the sheets (somehow it was there). We were trying to give the place a chance but when we all decided to relax on the bed I started to smell a foul odor. I accused my sister of having smelly feet, we argued about it and she made me smell her feet. I smelled her feet and realized it wasn't her feet but the sheets on the bed we were all laying on. That was the final straw. We immediately booked another place down the street that was $20 more ($73 total) and were relieved when we got there. We tried to dispute this with the owner in an attempt to get our money back but he claimed that there was no problem, that the rooms were just renovated and he would call the cops if we had came down to the office. DONT COME HERE! You will catch something here because they do not care about the basic sanitation. they'd rather distract you with mediocre renovations. We ended up staying at Inn at the commons.
