Management is very kind but read reviews. There is furniture outside. People live there and roam around. It's strange. Not my cup of tea.

And while the hotel is still undergoing a remodel, it didn't have an adverse effect on my stay.

A great selection of hot and cold options. The bar/restaurant/pool all closed at 10 pm so this place is more family friendly than the name might suggest. The room was warm and the colors were chosen well. I particularly enjoyed the green accent wall behind the TV. There was a comfy chair and a nice rug by the bed. Excellent natural light from the window.

Amber who checked us in had a personality and made checking in a pleasure. The pool area was beautiful, the whole property was spotless. There even was a casino full of slot machines across the parking lot with a driving range attached. Pretty epic. Like a one stop shop resort. I was there for work so I could not enjoy many of the amenities as I was too busy. But I am thinking about coming down for a weekend and just hanging out there. Food at the restaurant was good, the free breakfast had many different choices, and was decent quality. The rooms were nice and spacious, my only qualm was the shower had zero pressure. Like I said. I am pondering on flying all the way from Seattle just for a weekend of relaxation there. Literally one stop shop for everything!

Unfortunately, Lithia Resort chose not to respond at all. During our two-night stay, the entire hotel lost water at approximately 10:00 PM, and it wasn't restored until around 6:30 the following morning. This wasn't a minor inconvenience. My daughter was in the middle of a shower with soap all over her body and had no way to rinse off except with bottled water. We couldn't flush the toilet in our room for the entire night and had no choice but to continue using it. It made for an incredibly unpleasant and unsanitary experience. Things happen. I understand that. Hotels can't always prevent emergencies. What matters is how they respond. When we checked out the next morning, the manager acknowledged the situation and told us they would be applying a discount to our stay. That never happened. After returning home, I sent a courteous email to the hotel explaining what happened and simply requested that they refund the one night that was affected. I wasn't asking for both nights. I thought that was a fair and reasonable request given that one of the most basic services a hotel provides, running water, was unavailable for nearly nine hours. They never responded. No refund. No discount. No apology. Not even the courtesy of a reply. The complete lack of communication is honestly more disappointing than the water outage itself. Problems happen. Ignoring your guests after promising to make things right is a choice. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend staying in a different hotel when visiting Ashland.

I normally stay at IHG Holiday Inn Express locations when I travel as I'm a platinum rewards member and get points for future stays and free room upgrades. This location was easy enough to find with GPS, but other wise just go south on Center Drive and when you see the Walmart on the right, turn left and go down the little street to the hotel. Plenty of parking available. We arrived a little too early and the rooms weren't ready yet, official check in is 3 pm, but we thought we might get in early, so we waited over at the Starbucks right near the hotel. I get a call the rooms are ready, so the front desk is on the ball! As the crew unloads all our stuff out of the big rental SUV, I do the check in and it all goes smooth. We get our keys and go to our rooms. My room was clean and nice and the first thing I check is the WiFi. It's working fine and I can get work done. The connection is fast enough to stream Netlix or whatever, but I gotta work so no time to stream stuff! The rest of the room is clean and the bathroom is fine and everything works and no stray hairs that weren't my color! The coffee maker worked fine as well. Breakfast is included n the mornings and it was hot and tasty as usual and the selection was just about the same as all the Holiday Inn Express locations. Hot choices as well as breads to toast and cereal if you want that. This is a good location of the Holiday Inn Expresses and I'd stay here again. None of my crew had any complaints either.

The staff member took the extra step of documenting my vehicle make and model. It was nice not to have to fill out a form and initial it five times. This is a newer building, well maintained. The free breakfast offers many options. I usually choose eggs and bacon(!) if available. I was on the 4th floor near the stairs, which made it convenient to get to my vehicle, and get a workout in at the same time. The decor is minimal, but modern and clean.
