Came to Red Carpet on a referral from the company I bought my suit from brought in 2 dress pants, a vest, and a dress shirt. Had to bring back the pants 3 different times, the first of which I tried on the pants and ripped completely through the seam. Stitching was done horribly both times with gaping holes showing through. Would highly recommend going elsewhere. Wasn't even sure if I could leave the 3rd time around (for payment) because the owner never even spoke to us again. Wore the suit for my wedding and now have holes all throughout the dress pants again due to stitching or lack thereof. read more

Ishmael is a wizard ! He custom fitted a size 26 vintage dress from the 70s to fit my petite 4 frame! In 3 days!!! I'm awestruck. I also brought in a hand beaded chiffon caftan that he managed to fit to my body , and it was only 30 dollars! Wow. I recently moved to Dallas and needed a tailor for my suit pants for an upcoming wedding. The owner was very friendly and easy to work with. He had my pants ready for pickup in just a few days, though I know he could have done it faster if I needed it sooner. Only cost $15 as opposed to the $25-$30 it would've at most other places. This is a high end and professional tailor. The owner treats you like family. I emailed in advance to confirm COVID precautions and he confirmed a time I'd be the only customer and ensured he was wearing a mask. I had 8 items, a couple with significant changes (vs just hem). It is a pricier tailor (compared to, say, Unique Tailor), but I appreciate the quality of the work, clean and beautiful customer area, changing area with hooks, stool and mirror. My items only took a week to complete and were completed right on time. While expensive, I appreciate the quality of the alterations (even hems). After pick up, I was composing an email in my car and he brought me a cold water - extra special touches that make this worth the visit. read more

Took two suits for alterations to Red Carpet Tailor after researching different tailors in the Dallas area. The first suit required minimal changes and was altered well - I got several compliments at a wedding I attended shortly after. The second suit was by chance a size too big, requiring more significant alterations. After trying on the suit, I requested the suit be altered more, and the owner was willing to do it without any hesitations. I'm happy with the final product in both cases and especially with the quality of service I received, which was friendly and prompt. Whether you prefer more modern alterations or traditional, men can trust Red Carpet to do a great job on their suits and dress pants. There also appeared to be a nice selection of men's shirts, ties, and suits, though I didn't purchase any this time. read more

Do not, under any circumstances, go to this tailor. I went to him to get sleeves sewn onto a dress and to have a blouse loosened. He charged me $130 for these two things and said it would take two weeks. When I arrived to pick up my items, they were dirty and not done correctly. My arms wouldn't fit through the sleeves, there were black marks all over my dress, and there was excess fabric sewn into the inside of the blouse. The fact that the alterations were not done correctly shouldn't have been a surprise because this the first tailor I have ever been to that does not use a measuring tape, chalk, pins, or any other method of ensuring accurate measurements. Instead, he half pays attention to you while you try on your outfit and says "yeah yeah yeah" as you try to explain what you need done. He doesn't have the attention span to dedicate to one customer and would walk away as I was mid sentence to deal with another customer. When I came back two days later, again his alterations were a hack job, you could see in my silk dress where he had ripped out the sleeves he had initially sewn incorrectly as the silk was torn and it was still dirty (this is a brand new dress I have never worn before). He had also used brown thread on a pink dress and it was peeking through. When I pointed out these issues, he started to pull on the brown thread to pull it out and I said "please don't do that I don't want to make it worse". At this point he threw the dress in my face and yelled "what do you want me to do!?". I was shocked and looked at the other 3 workers in the store who seemed unfazed...this only leads me to believe that this is his standard behavior (even more concerning). The young man who works here pulled me aside to apologize/defend his coworker, blaming his behavior on "being stressed". I was partially refunded and assured that if I returned, they would "make things right"....all i can assure you is I will NOT be back. read more

Ishmael is great! He got my Bridesmaid dress altered in less than a week when I had to get it rush ordered in. He altered the bottom and had the dress looking great before I went out of town the Thursday after (I dropped it off the Friday before). He truly does wonders.
