I brought a few pairs of pants here for a basic hem and had to bring them back 3 times as they kept doing the hem incorrect (they actually lengthened the pants when I needed them shortened; first red flag). Every single hem on the pants that I brought to them had come undone in under 6 months. Now all the hemming work and tailoring needs to be redone- somewhere else. Shoddy work, they will take your money and spend 5 mins doing a hem job that will come undone so quickly it will feel like you never actually go the work done- even though your wallet will show it has. read more

I had a very bad experience here. I brought in 5 dress shirts to have the sleeves taken up and when I picked up the shirts to take them home and try them on I realized none of the sleeves had been taken up and instead the shirts had been taken in from the sides. When I took the shirts back and complained about not having the sleeves taken up the owner told me that I didn't ask for that even though we measured the sleeves on each shirt I dropped off to be taken up. I eventually got the sleeves fixed and they did a nice job but unfortunately I had to throw out two shirts they erroneously tailored because they were simply too tight to wear. POOR QUALITY WORK / RUINED RAG & BONE JEANS...they did not put on original hem which was part of the original ask...so had to return. Once they were "fixed" noticed the seams were not lined up, there were holes made with scissors and the original hem was not secured already starting to fray. Haven't even been worn. The jeans were ruined and they only offered for refund the cost of the tailor. I will take my business elsewhere and so should you. read more

This is a new location recently opened up, I saw good reviews so I was hopeful. I wanted a simple take in at the bust, about one inch each side, but not my actual waist part taken in. The tailor assured me he has been in the business 40 years, marked my dress with chalk and described how he would have to cut the seam on the side to do what I wanted. As long as it didn't go in any more at the waist I would be good, and I trusted his technique. I picked it up 4 days later, and to my disappointment the waist had been taken in an inch or 0.5 inch on each side. It fit, but it was tight and no longer comfortable for me to be in all night. I told him I didn't want the sides taken in, and although the bust part looked ok, the waist was snug. He offered to fix it that day and I came back 4 hours later. Showing me that he had to take in the waist to fix the bust, I wish he would have vocalized he had to do that and listened more when I said the waist could not be altered because it fit perfectly. I appreciated he offered to fix it day of, he said his reviews were very important to him as he is trying to grow his business. I came back later that day, the dress was better, but still snug. It is not the same as when I dropped it off, which was the disappointing part. It will be okay for an evening, and outside glance looks fine. He also did not charge me to fix a second time. And my initial price was reasonable for the alterations. However, I am just not sure he listened or heard what I was saying. He repeated multiple times the dress was beautiful and it fit me perfectly even when I told him it wasn't the same. He said he did everything I asked. At this point, it wasn't worth arguing about. It would be good enough. Next time, I might go to a female trailer for something like this that can understand and listen to me a bit more. He has a lot of suits set up at the entry way which leaves me to think he works more with men's dress shirts and business suits than women's Lenin dresses. I didn't want to bash his store, as I know it is new. So I am leaving it as 4 stars for whatever miscommunication we had and the constant compliments even though I voiced how I was feeling, I think he was trying to persuade me otherwise so I would leave the store and be done. read more

I just moved to DFW and didn't know where I could go get some uniform pieces tailored and a pair of pants fixed. I looked around and didn't find a place I felt comfortable taking my clothes to until I saw Red Carpet Tailor. It is 45 minutes away from me. I met Muhammad (Owner's son. Owner was out for personal reasons) and got 3 pieces fitted and pinned. A week later, I met the owner Ismael when I went to pick up my clothes. I left another pair of uniform pants. When I picked those up I mentioned that my pants hem came undone and my vest needed some adjustments. Ismael right then and there fixed the hem on my pants. My vest I brought it in the next day were Jonny fitted it again. I let him know I needed it by a certain day. This guy came in on his day off (I even told him not to) to finish it so I could get it when I needed it. They go above and beyond for their clients. I'm very happy with the work that was done on my clothes. I will continue driving at least 45 minutes to bring my items to them. 10/10 recommend them. read more

I will preface by saying this was my first time encounter with this establishment. My go-to seamstress was closed due to COVID. I had the WORST experience here. I picked up my pantsuit I needed to get tailored for my birthday celebration for the next day and when I came home to try on I realized my pants were royally screwed up! His work was terrible and he sewed everything up crooked! Also puckering was occurring on the backside top seam of my pants. I dropped off these pants being one size too big and picked them up being one size too small! I went back to ask him to rectify and he refused to believe anything was wrong. I asked for a refund and he refused and said that if anything I owe him money because I was undercharged! I don't know what came over me, but I suddenly felt desperate in the moment and cried out! I put my face in my hands with tears streaming down my face that I needed the suit for my birthday the next day and asked what I was supposed to do. And no joke he said "you just have to live with it". I grabbed my belongings and ran out of there without changing back into my regular clothes and with only my socks on! I felt robbed, cheated and disrespected by this man. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. There are PLENTY more professionally established tailor shops in Dallas.
