I'm very short and need all my pants tailored. I've been going to the same place forever but they are always booked out so I found this place on a whim and put my trust into them. Both gentleman working there were so kind and friendly! I left a couple pants with them and I felt very confident about it. I picked them up today and they are beyond perfect. Most efficient and quickest alterations I've ever had! They responded instantly and I only had about 24 hours before heading out of town to get both of these pieces fixed. Pants needed a solid 4 inches off and zipper on the skirt was completely broken. Measured the pants for like 30 seconds and they're right above the floor where they needed to be! I have had good tailoring here in the past as some reviews have also stated. But I think viewers should be aware that quality of service seems to be dependent on who takes in the garment and who does the work. It seems there may be as many as 3 people involved in the business. I took in a nice pair of nice slacks that were slightly flared to be shortened. But when I came to pick them up, the gentleman (I didn't get his name unfortunately) that initially measured me, grabbed the pants and headed to the sewing machine and furiously began sewing. I asked if something was wrong and he said that someone else did the work and he just wanted to make sure they were done properly. I didn't examine the pants until I got home and saw that he evidently sewed higher up on the hem unevenly with Black thread for some unknown reason. I have never seen anything like this. These slacks were slightly flared and the proper way to shorten would be to cut the fabric off and make a similar sized hem like the original instead of just folding up; thus the hem is puckered. I was able to go back to the store a day or two later and I believe it was the owner who was there. When I showed him the pants, he immediately said that the tailoring was wrong and offered to fix them for free and give me my money back. I said I just wanted my money back. He asked how much I paid. I paid $20 which I thought was high at the time. I have not had them fixed as of yet, so I can't say how much another tailor will charge, however it strikes me as odd that there is not a set fee as is usual for different tailoring issues. I took two dresses here to have minor alterations done (one only needed cups sewn in to be hemmed and the other needed to be hemmed and taken in). They told me my total would be $320 and wanted me to pay in advance which is crazy but I was in a pinch. I needed one of them within a week and asked multiple times if this was possible. They assured me it was but when I went to pick the dress up (which was my bridesmaid dress for my sister's wedding) they hadn't even touched it. I needed it that day because I was flying to the wedding the next. He told me to come back in an hour to pick it up. He called me within 40 minutes saying it was ready. I picked it up and tried it on and it was horrible. The cups were barely sewn on and ripped out during the wedding and the hem was completely uneven and frayed. Do not recommend it's not worth the stress or money. read more

Ever find a gem and it's so special that you are scared to let others know because you don't want to take away from how great it is . . . Well this is that place. Being 5'1" nothing ever fits the way it's intended to - Capris look like pants, jumpsuits end up with a bunch of material bunched at my feet and so on. I initially went to a dry cleaner and asked them about getting an outfit altered and she let me know that they don't alter in house, they send items out and suggested I walk around the corner to an actual tailor. She blessed me that day in more ways than I can begin to explain. I walked in and was greeted like I was family, like for real, I got a hugged by the owner. I explained what I wanted, put the outfit on and then we began discussing what he was going to be done. He measured, I doubted, he explained and I told him when I needed to have it done by. I came back and it not just looked perfect, it fits perfect. You can't even tell it's been altered. So this vertically challenged gal has found a place where my clothes will not just look good, but fit as well. I cannot recommend this tailor enough! I had two formal dresses that needed to be hemmed for my brothers wedding. I waited last minute to find a tailor, frantically messaging tailors at 2AM, 48 hr before the event, within a few hours Red Carpet had me in and was able to have both dressed hemmed, 2 layers each, and cups installed seamlessly--all a day before the event. I took a long bridesmaid dress and a short dress here, both to be taken in and to have the long dress hemmed. I'm very glad I took it in 2+ weeks in advance of needing it, because the long dress at first was hemmed too short - this is the only reason for not giving 5 stars. (FYI - they also said they were busy & 2 weeks was the expectation at the time.) Faris was extremely responsive and helpful, and got it fixed in time before I needed it. They blew me off and acted like my alterations weren't worth their time even though they were charging a premium. They were not interested in letting me try the clothes on so that we could talk through how it is supposed to look. They just said, "yeah yeah, we got it. I know what I'm doing." I get all of my clothes tailored (from suits, dress shirts, on down to swim suits) and know what good work and good service looks like. Look elsewhere if you want quality or to be treated like a human being. Tried to give them a chance to fix what they messed up and they made it even worse and were very smug without and didn't offer an apology. Will have to take my clothes elsewhere to have them fixed. Update: the new tailor that I went to fix what they had done was blown away by how bad of a job they did. 50/50 she will be able to fix what's been done. She took the time and care I expected when paying for a tailor. No chance I'll ever let them come close to my wardrobe ever again. Thank goodness, I didn't take one of my suits in for an alteration. You can find cheaper but more importantly better tailors across the city. Now that I've posted this, they want to try to call to make things right. I'm not interested. Maybe you should have taken the necessary time (5 min max) to treat me with respect beforehand. read more
