They blew me off and acted like my alterations weren't worth their time even though they were charging a premium. They were not interested in letting me try the clothes on so that we could talk through how it is supposed to look. They just said, "yeah yeah, we got it. I know what I'm doing." I get all of my clothes tailored (from suits, dress shirts, on down to swim suits) and know what good work and good service looks like. Look elsewhere if you want quality or to be treated like a human being. Tried to give them a chance to fix what they messed up and they made it even worse and were very smug without and didn't offer an apology. Will have to take my clothes elsewhere to have them fixed. Update: the new tailor that I went to fix what they had done was blown away by how bad of a job they did. 50/50 she will be able to fix what's been done. She took the time and care I expected when paying for a tailor. No chance I'll ever let them come close to my wardrobe ever again. Thank goodness, I didn't take one of my suits in for an alteration. You can find cheaper but more importantly better tailors across the city. Now that I've posted this, they want to try to call to make things right. I'm not interested. Maybe you should have taken the necessary time (5 min max) to treat me with respect beforehand. read more

Zero stars, I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! I saw it had good ratings on Yelp so I went in to get my wedding dress hemmed, very simple hem and they said they could do it no problem. When I arrived, the owner was helping me and was not taking good care of my dress which made me nervous and then when I put the dress on he dis not make me feel comfortable and was rushing me and not gentle at all. I didn't get a good feeling they would deliver a good quality hem or a good customer experience, so I left and took my dress somewhere else. When I got home and opened my dress I noticed there was HIS BLOOD on the front of my white wedding dress where he was messing with it and he nearly ruined my 2,000 dress with his carelessness. I have taken several pants to get sized down and tapered. They have done a great job, but most of all, they stand by their word of satisfaction. They told me if I had an issue, they would fix it until it was right. This is with no additional charge. Most tailors do not do that. They resized a couple of pairs for me. I took new expensive jeans to be hemmed. I tried on the jeans, and the legs were marked for alteration. I asked for original hem, I was charged for original hem, and I paid for original hem. I even spoke to the person who measured the jeans about the original hem process. When I picked the jeans up, it was apparent the seamstress did use the original hem. The jeans look bad. I would not have used this store had I been informed they could not sew the original hem. I spoke with the person who marked my jeans and he remembered our conversation and my order. I was told that the store would fix the hem. The next time I picked up the jeans, the hem looked worse. An original hem from another pair of jeans was poorly sewn on the legs. The stitching was not completely around the legs and the tread was pulling off the jeans. The hem on both legs was coming apart. I showed the stiching to someone else that worked at the store and he said it would be fixed in a couple of hours. The next time I picked up the jeans, the hem looked much better. Still an original hem from another pair of jeans, but this time the hem was sewn correctly (after three attempts). I tried the jeans on when I got home and discovered that the legs are too long. I now need to spend addition money to get the legs the correct length. I have no clue how a store could fail this badly. read more

They just opened about a week ago and after many debacles with previous tailors, I decided to try them out with a 30% Grand Opening discount. Ismail (owner) is extremely friendly and has over 40 years of experience. I took two business-style dresses to him and ask for them to be taken in at the waist. I'm 5'3" with a 26 inch waist and broad shoulders so finding well-fitted clothing can be hard. It took him three days and they fit like a glove! About 65% of my closet has some sort of after-market alteration because of my measurements so I have gone through many tailors. These are some of the best quality work that I have experience and he basically has me sold. What I love the most are that his alterations fit perfectly with the dress and doesn't look out of place, messy, crooked, etc. He does both men and women's clothing. I was fortunate to have been assisted by the owner and his son, and they've been nothing but amazing and very responsive when I need them. I needed something tailored last minute on a Saturday and didn't realize they closed Sunday. I called the morning of, and they told me they could get it done the same day and just stop by when I can to drop it off. Oh how I LOVE Red Carpet Tailor! It miiiight be on the more expensive side, but you're truly getting what you pay for. I brought in a satin mini-dress that was too big in the bodice and too tight in the hips and they had it totally redone and ready for me just days later for just $90 which feels incredible reasonable for such an adjustment. I go in with two pairs of bell bottoms. I made it very clear over and over I have two different leg lengths and that each leg should be marked separately, the owner spoke very fast and clearly dismissed anything I was saying, as he only marked one leg of the bell bottom. I continue to say they need it to be marked separately as I have two different leg lengths he assured me he's been doing this for decades and knew what he was doing. When I got the pants back one leg was at least an inch and a half too short on both pants just like I had said. I brought them back to be fixed he assured me he would fix them -you can see by the photo they were not fixed and now they've been cut too short by him to ever be fixed so now I am out not only the $60 for both pants to be hemmed, I am also out the money it cost me for both pants. When I called him to try and rectify the situation a third time he told me there's nothing he can do for me. Thank you for nothing. read more
