    I would never come here. They don't have a bathroom for customers or drivers. Just people that work here I think that's ridiculous

    I will NEVER order from your restaurant again. I gave you a shot since I could add you to my Playa bowl order and I regret the waste of money. I ordered the 6 drumstick meal with fried rice and an egg roll. You sent me chicken tenders essentially aka the leftover cut up pieces of fried chicken you have- NONE are drumsticks or even chicken wings. Literally odds and ends. No fried rice. Yeah no- this is a joke and worst of all you don't even have it listed as a main ingredient on your Doordash so I couldn't even get a full refund for the meal I threw out.

    The food wasn't horrible. It only came with one egg roll which wasn't amazing. The fried rice basically was just rice with soy sauce so kinda disappointing. But overall it's not too expensive so it's a good go to Chinese restaurant.

    Got the orange chili tofu. Great dish! Fast and yummy. Highly recommend. Adding more words so I can post.

    Being the brave soul that I am, I decided to try out this brand new Chinese restaurant. Even braver of me was the fact that I ordered off the authentic Chinese menu. I got the Hot and Numbing Wok Fried with shrimp. Now be forewarned, this dish is not geared toward a typical American palette. I only ate about half of it and had to stop. It was hot, and I mean wicked hot and yes my mouth went numb like I'd gotten shot up with Novocaine. Man, I could have gotten a root canal after eating this and not felt a thing. The restaurant itself is not a fancy place, just a hole in the wall seating maybe 40 people with a basic go up to the counter type service. They give you a buzzer to let you know to come back up to get your food. I'm going to give these people a 5 Star review. It's an interesting restaurant that can accommodate our American tastes as well as Chinese tastes. If you're feeling adventurous and you want to try some authentic Chinese cuisine... I can tell you the food here is interesting, solid and fairly priced. And one last thing. This is the first time I've ever gone into a Chinese restaurant and actually felt like I was in China. There were some Chinese OSU students with what looked to be a Chinese game show on the television. There was nothing in here that says you are on the OSU campus on High Street. Nothing. Definitely worth checking out sometime.

    Feeling the need for some heat on a cold day, I finally stopped in here. Parking can be a hassle, of course, since it's near campus. Bring change, or be mindful of the signs. The place is pretty much a hole in the wall- not dirty, but definitely not fancy. Communal tables, not much decor. It seemed authentic to me, with lots of Chinese on the menu and lots of Asians eating. I was overwhelmed, and went with things I know: crab Rangoon, and twice-cooked pork. The Rangoons were pretty good, if unexceptional. Fresh and hot, with a mostly-cheese filling that still tasted of crab. The pork was great. Tender, sometimes fatty in the good way meat, with good veggies (cabbage, peppers, mushrooms.) At first I was disappointed in the heat, but it had settled into the bottom of the dish and was definitely there. The oil and sauce seep down... There is plenty more on the menu that I'd like to try, and I had a great experience overall. My kind of place: interesting, tasty food with no pretense.

    Only ended up here because the place we were originally going to go was closed. Even though per facebook it was supposed to be opened. Fast, cheap & good. First time here but will be back. Ordered off the American menu. Got the triple delight with fried rice: brown sauce, beef, shrimp, chicken and vegetables. Also got an order of crab rangoon, good and hot. Not the best but I've had a lot worse. Next time I will order off the authentic menu. Either the hot and numbing wok fried or the szchuan hot pot. The beef with scallion and onion also sounds great. Can't wait to go back. Maybe we'll even have some soup next time. I will say that while we were there everyone that came in or was already there was Asian. I will agree with another reviewer that you would not know you are on campus. Because there was no Block O, Shoe, OSU or Brutus in sight.

    Red Chili is good for some cheap and fast Asian. I like how simple the menu is. This isn't the place if you're looking for authentic Chinese. It has a simple menu with a few basic items. The food comes out fast and not for that much. I ordered the Red Chili Tofu. It was about $6 for the lunch portion. The food came out in a few minutes. It's not a fancy place and it reflects it in the food. The broccoli was the only vegetable. It came in what tasted like regular old sweet and sour sauce. The tofu was cooked just long enough to be chewy yet firm. It came with a big portion of rice. There was so much of it there wasn't much room in the container for the rest of the meal. I would get something again from Red Chili if just needing something cheap and fast. It's completely not authentic but is still okay. The inside is kind of yucky so order takeout.

    The 8.25 "Hot and Numbing" Chinese Bacon dish.  Rice comes separately but I had mixed it in.

    Not too expensive and quite good and versatile! Perfect for an extremely cold day in January before an Arctic blast!

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

(Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

    I keep hearing good things about this, and I've been meaning to come for a while, but it's out of…read moremy way. Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.

Absolutely would never go back.
