Our server just dumped a platter with a bag of cold seafood onto our table and walked away! The other servers were observed with HOT seafood removing it from the bag and serving it in an appetizing way on the platters. We never received the side dishes we ordered server said when she brought the check I forgot to tell you we were out of that. My friend said " potatoes were good." So never again Red Crab. Food had a lot of flavor with the multiple sauce mix! But the price point was the issue! It was on the higher side when it comes to a meal for sure. Corn was flavor full and juicy! Crab had a really good amount of meat and flavor. I feel there could be a bit more portion wise for the price. This place is horrible, service is bad the bartender was dropping F boms and her name was Jo. Our waiter Josh was not helpful at all he didn't refill our drinks and never checked on us. The manager made excuses for them by saying it was Josh"s birthday. No one should have to go through this. Our first time eating at this restaurant and we were very pleased with our experience. The server was very friendly and attentive. She explained to us in detail about how the menu works as there is a variety of boils. The lighting was a little dark, but the booths were nice and comfortable. I loved all the tools they gave you to eat with including gloves and a bib as it was very messy. Do not wear white here! The portions were generous and delicious we could've split a boil since we ordered an app as well, but it made for great leftovers. We've been here a few times already and definitely always come for the seafood boil. I've tried a few other menu items but nothing really beats the seafood boil. You can customize it with the items you'd like or order their options. The sauces are delightful! Sooo good! Definitely a great option if you don't want to cook a boil at home. Red crab has been my favorite restaurant for years. I went to eat lunch there about 2 weeks ago and was heartbroken and DISGUSTED when I took a bite of my potato and realized there was a large black worm in my potato. I have been sick to my stomach ever since. The waitress simply offered me another potato and said "yeah this happens sometimes". I understand that it's not the worker's fault, but this should absolutely not happen! I obviously did not want another potato or was even able to finish the rest of my food. To top it all off, I had to still pay for my food and was only given a 20% discount. I ended up wasting $50 to bite into a worm. I emailed the restaurant and got no response. Fresh, juicy seafood boils with no wait? Sounds Crabulous! Coming from LA, we're used to waiting an hour or so to finally get seated at Boiling Crab. Usually we're starving to death after the wait and we wolf down the food, pay $60 per person for a meal. Red Crab has a similar menu, price point, and ambience, but there was no wait for dine-in and the portions felt more generous. This was partly due to the restaurant weighing the shrimp without the head, whereas BC weighs and charges you per pound with the shrimp head included. Plenty of parking and spacious restaurant that can accommodate multiple large parties. Their menu features various boiled seafood items with sauce options, all priced per pound. They also have amazing combos that are different per day of week! We loved the Tuesday special (1/2lb crawfish, shrimp, snow crab + corn and potato) selection, and the waitress was generous to let us order it even though we came on the weekend. The combo came in a air filled bag that looks like a balloon, which was super entertaining! The seafood was fresh and sauce was flavorful, not too salty. We also ordered some fried scallops and fries which were hot, light, and crispy. Midway through our dinner, a DJ started spinning some old jams which was fun. Primarily serving seafood boil, the food is served in large plastic bags which hold both the seafood and veggies (corn on the cob and small, whole potatoes. You break open the bag and either dump the contents onto the platter or eat it out of the bag. It's messy, delicious, and fun. The blue crab and shrimp were cooked perfectly. There's a choice of seasoning and how spicy you'd like the dish. It's not cheap but you get a lot. My choice had a pound of crab and a half pound of shrimp. You'll need to break open the crab legs and body so be prepared for that. They give you a bib and plastic gloves but pull out a pile of napkins while your hands are still clean. read more

I have to say, I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by this place. I'd never been before and ordered the Monday Special. It was a mussels, crab and shrimp boil. The sauce was so delicious I couldn't stop eating. The children had the Kids Tilapia basket and a side pasta. The pasta was too spicy for them, it that was quickly remedied by Beth, our server, who brought over another order without the sauce. She was such an attentive and pleasant server. She asked many times who things were and if she could get us anything else. She was super friendly with the children and interacted with them. I hadn't expected much.
