An overall good experience. I'll start by saying, my husband and I wished to give 4.5 stars so we resolved that he would give 5 and I'm giving 4. I got the cod fish and chips. My husband got the pineapple chicken sandwich and the frog and chips. The presentation on these plates was very satisfactory, and mixed with the atmosphere, may have even made the food taste better. We enjoyed everything a good bit, but found that everything had a similar flavor, maybe because the same oil was used to fry everything? We don't know. The fish and chips weren't the best I'd ever have. The fish itself was good, although for the price at $19, I found it lacking in substance and in quality a bit. The breading was a bit dry and too crispy on bits, as well. The skin was too crunchy. The fries were very crispy and hard to stop eating, and they were good! The frog legs were the highlight. Juicy and tasty, and certainly a fun item to pick on our date night. I had never tried frog legs and enjoyed them possibly more than the fish and chips! My husband's sandwich was good, but very messy, he noted. Overall, the experience was good. What really made it for us was the atmosphere. We loved the murals and decor. It was classic Florida but not the overused beach decor with the same tan and shade of blue that I usually see. Colorful purple and blue and orange - beachy in a very fun and vibrant way. It was neat to see a place serving gator, frog legs, and other cool things. We talked to the owner, who was a very pleasant man. Our server was a very nice guy as well, and never left us feeling awkward or as if we were asking too much. Everyone was polite. There was a calm and cool atmosphere here. We thought it very nice, the menu variety including Thai cuisine as well as seafood and classic Florida dishes. Overall we had a lovely date here. I stopped close to even they opened on a weekday in order to beat the crowd. There is a bar or tables you can choose to sit at. The ambiance is very Florida, so it's true to the restaurant name. I immediately noticed the gigantic octopus mural on the right side of the restaurant after I sat down at my table. My photo does not do it justice, but it paired nicely with the fish and aligator decor. My stomach was set on trying their aligator and I was told by the male owner that their aligator is sourced from a county close by and comes in fresh. I was curious about how big their shrimp were as well so I ordered the St. Lucie Platter. The texture of the aligator was just right, not chewy at all. The shrimp were huge and the batter was nice and flaky with a crunch. The coleslaw was refreshing to have between the shrimp, aligator, and bites of fries. I wish the portion of the coleslaw was larger (considered how much fried food there was) but it is a lot of food already, so not a big deal. I thoroughly enjoyed my entrée and wanted to explore a bit more of their menu so I asked about desserts. My waitress showed me their two desserts options - Florida Key Lime Pie and a Cheesecake Brûlée with Blueberries. I decided on the blueberry cheesecake at the recommendation of my waitress and it did not disappoint. The sweet torched soft but dense cheesecake was simply decadent. Been here several times and always Enjoyed the food and conversation. Owner is super nice as is the staff. However, something seemed off compared to usual. Seafood was chewy, not as fresh - was it frozen? The menu was paired way down, and some of our favorites were not an option anymore. For mostly empty place, it was almost an hour for our food to be served. I don't mind a wait for good food, but it was very mediocre. It was so good when We first started coming here - our treat. I honestly don't get the amazing reviews. Idk maybe I got the wrong item but the food was just so mid. The gator bites were chewy and I understand gator in general is a chewy piece of meat but with other gator places I went, they were at least edible, this more or less was fried rubber. Just not good at all. And the volcano shrimp po boi was not it for me either. The server was nice I guess but honestly the best thing I had at this place was the water. read more

I have passed this place numerous time and never stopped in till tonight. I pulled up into the parking lot. It was pretty full, so I parked off to the side. Walked up to the front entrance, love the Christmas decorations, nice and bright. I walked in hoping I could find a seat with all the cars in the parking lot. There were 8 people in the dining area, so I had plenary of seats to pick from. I sat at the bar, looking around at the sea life theme of the place. The server came over with the menu and got my drink order. I looked over the menu, saw some interesting items on it. Not quite sure what I wanted. So I decided to get their crispy chicken, garlic fried rice with a spicy sauce. I also was curious about the cranberry coke slaw, so I ordered a small side of that. I guess the food was made to order cause it took a good while for it to come out. The good thing is that everything was hot. I tried a piece of the chicken, nice flavor, the batter was the right amount to not over take the chicken. I dove into the cran cole Shaw. It had great flavor, it was a sweet Cole Shaw and the cranberries add a nice fruity flavor. I poured the spices sauce over the rice and chicken. I need more to coat both of them, I had to ask twice for more cause they were tight on the sauce. I mixed it all together like a rice bowl. This was our fourth visit to this lovely restaurant and certainly won't be our last. We support locally owned restaurants and found a gem in this one. This restaurant is owned by a husband and wife, who is the extraordinary chef in the kitchen. The menu is varied with local, fresh seafood and Thai creations. I love the Thai choices so much I have yet to order anything else! Their gluten free drunken noodles is next level good, using fresh calamari, large shrimp and chicken. My husband has ordered the fish fry twice and highly recommends it. If you're going with a group please bring your patience because each dish is created to order but is well worth the wait. Quickly served a ice cold Pepsi (YES!) and a bowl of house made chips. Food is cooked to order so don't be in a rush. Just chill and enjoy the atmosphere. My wife had the lobster roll tender and delicious the roll amazing. I ordered the Fried Lobster. Lightly battered that brings out the taste of the lobster. Cute little place beside the SHELL SHOP on US 1. It's clean, very casual atmosphere. It's on the pricey side ( for a casual place) and be prepared to wait a bit for your food. It's prepared to order from a vast array of choices. Thai food was prepared from very fresh ingredients. There are seafood choices, burgers, chicken, curries, fish.... . and with just one person cooking, it's hard to move through the preparation of all of these. We started with potstickers. Super fresh and tasty, in a lovely sauce......but 4 arrived for the price of $12. We had the pad Thai that arrived just barely warm. We were never asked when ordering, the spicy amount we'd like (1-5) We were told it's written up front‍ The tables are bare, no placemats. There was no sense of eating in a nice restaurant. No soup or salad was offered with the entree leaving us feeling like something was just not complete with our meal. I was told this if how it is in Thailand..... but we are not in Thailand!!!! The restaurant is taken over originally was a breakfast placed now it's luncheon to dinner place only open from 3 to 9 PM. I was going to order a burger but it was only a 6 ounce burger which I didn't think was big enough for the price instead I ordered the batter fried chicken sandwich. It was excellent.
