Weekend Special ( can be order any day) Crab, lobster, shrimp, potatoes, corn
    Amy O.

My husband and I came here to celebrate my birthday, and we had just a nice, low-key meal. Just what we were looking for. FOOD: It's hard to complicate a seafood boil. We ordered the Weekend Special with their Juicy Special Medium hot flavor, but I think I could've gone just a little spicier :P The snow crab was alright, but I'm not the biggest fan of crab. SERVICE: Ya'll, our server was so nice and attentive. She forgot my Pepsi and ended up comping my drink - that was so nice of her! ATMOSPHERE: We came on a Sunday night, and there weren't many people here except for one other table that was also celebrating a birthday! Would we come back? Absolutely! I love that it's close to our house, too.

A fun experience with really great food. Service was fast and friendly. Food also came out fast. I love that you can build your own meal and they have so many options. I had crawfish, sausage and shrimp, and it was really good. The garlic butter was also amazing. It's a super messy meal but a fun treat. They also have one options if you don't want to do a boil. I loved it!

I've been to Red crab about 3 times now and the food still taste as good as it did the first time I went. My crab and shrimp are always hot and fresh, the corn is extremely sweet and I love that. My only dislike about their seafood bags is that they are really stingy with the sauce inside the bag. Before you open your bag, be sure to shake it a couple times to get all the goodness inside your food. The service is always good- they are very attentive. Each time we went it wasn't too many people inside, so the servers were there in case you had questions or needed anything. They have alcoholic beverages that are pretty good as well - I forgot to grab a picture of them.

I came to Red Crab on a Friday evening. It wasn't many people. Services was good and fast. The food came out a few minutes after ordering fresh and hot. It was very clean and had a nice chill vibe. I had garlic noodles and a side of broccoli. I really enjoyed it. The noodles were very flavorful. The broccoli was on the bland side, but dipping it in the sauce made it sooo good. My friend got the Weekend Special bag which included snow crab legs, a lobster tail & shrimp with no head ( corn and potatoes included in all bags) It was very flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. I would definitely recommend this place if you love some seafood!

Great food and service. Drinks were also on point. Best shrimp and chicken fried rice we've ever had!

We visited Red Crab because I was craving seafood, and my husband wanted hibachi, but unfortunately, they didn't have hibachi available. The fries and shrimp were nicely seasoned, and the fried rice was tasty. However, I found the seafood boil to be too oily and salty for my liking. While I enjoyed my meal, I didn't absolutely love it. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, especially when there was a mix-up with our order; she quickly got it sorted out. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, and it seemed like many people were opting for takeout. I'm open to trying the place again in the future, but maybe not right away.

Yet another amazing Ghent restaurant!! The atmosphere is laid back. The server was delightful and did a great job explaining the food choices. Now for the food...it was amazing. Perfect level of spice especially if you love garlic. My sister's pasta was even better to be honest. The prices are reasonable. Easy parking in the back. Definitely coming back!!

First time trying this spot. I didn't even know it was here until my brother in law was looking for a seafood spot and happened on it. We ordered pick up. NOT disappointed! We got the shrimp boil and the shrimp, scallop and sausage boil. Plentiful portions, well cooked, perfect seasoning. Also had the steak and chicken hibachi. Veggies and meat were well cooked and were not even soggy when we got home! That alone is enough to make me go back! Calamari was great. And the hush puppies were in point! Would recommend!

The fries were nicely seasoned and, for me, they really complimented the fish nicely. The soup was also very good. Tho the chunks of crab were smaller that other soups I've had, there was plenty of crab there! The flavor was super great too. No complaints here at all. They immediately sent the tone of a quiet comfortable environment. Quick service with both drink and food. The food itself was less than stellar. I had the happy hour coconut, shrimp, and chicken tenders on one night, and they were mediocre at best served lukewarm. I wouldn't really order either dish again, truth be told. Unfortunately, the service in the restaurant portion itself was quite wanting, slow and unattended. We had a member of our party, joined late and didn't see the server again until she was delivering our meals, which was when our friend got to order. Unfortunately, once again, the food was lackluster. We were staying at the hotel for the week, so we did try this place a few times. Again, the Bar staff was fantastic and the drinks were quite good, but the food was just not special. Yes, by chance, if we stayed at this hotel again. It's too bad they don't have the appropriate staff. We had to have the bartender as our waitress. We found her in the kitchen getting someone else's food. How nice! She apologized and had the audacity to ask if we already paid for parking. This made us think she would have told us to leave if we didn't pre-paid the parking. It's a shame because we were looking forward to some good food and service. I think they need new management immediately. I gave one star to post this sadness.

My wife and I took advantage of Norfolk's Restaurant Week to enjoy a romantic evening, coupled with great service from a very attentive waiter. $45 each for a 3-course meal in a intimate cozy dark setting with great jazz music in the background. 1st course, she had the marvelous She Crab Bisque, especially the hint of sherry. Perfect. I enjoyed the four Fried Oysters, Fried flawlessly without the bivalves becoming rubbery. 2nd course, my wife enjoyed the Peri-Peri Chicken Penne. The breast of chicken was moist throughout, not dry. The penne pasta with the Romesco Cream Sauce was very creamy and delicious says my better half. I tried the Fried Catfish. A bed of creamy Grits; then some Braised Collards stewed perfectly with a surprise - pieces of Ham Hock meat imbedded - on top of the Grits; then on the very top a perfectly fried huge piece of Catfish filet with Key Lime Remoulade sauce on the side. A pretty presentation. If you like Catfish, this is a wonderful entrée. It still amazes me how the food I grew up on as a son of the South - except for the remoulade - is now haute cuisine. I also ordered for dinner a Perfect Manhattan made with Maker's Mark. The bartender was spot-on, a great cocktail. My wife enjoyed a glass of crisp dry California Pinot Grigio with her meal. Our 3rd and final course was the creamy death-by-chocolate chocolate mousse for me, while she enjoyed the wild berry sorbet that was palate cleansing and delicious. By the way, the restaurant also has a Speakeasy type bar area downstairs. Our romantic evening went perfectly. Norfolk Seafood Company is one of my favorite places to dine in Norfolk.
