I used to come here all the time but the service and food quality has dropped big time. We recently went with a large party because my son flew back home. The waitress was at beat to say, awful. She didn't care to wait on us and we were all very friendly and kind to her, she took almost 25 minutes just to come get drinks we had to ask a fellow waitress and she said "oh I'll ask her if I can help you guys" she comes back and said "she said I can't help you guys it's her table" which was fine but she didn't care to serve us. She never checked on us we had to repeatedly get up and ask for help or more drinks. When she brought out pizza it wasn't cut at all which was weird how do you not cut two whole pizzas, the owner or manager whatever he was knew what was happening and didn't care it was clearly obvious she was just avoiding certain tables. There was a table full of middle aged men that she wouldn't leave though. I guess she figured she can hustle a big tip from them? Which stinks because I always tip great. This week I ordered a pizza for the family. Parked in front of store and you can see them making pizzas through the window WITH NO MASKS ON! Called the owner the next day and he said they should be wearing masks making the food and he would make sure they do. Funny thing though..... tonight they now have a big covering hanging over the window so you CANT SEE INSIDE WHERE THEY MAKE THE FOOD NOW! Wow that's what Joey the owner does during a pandemic with his workers preparing food without our safety in mind! Now I'll just call the health department since I do have picture. First off, the food is really good. We use to love coming here but I would always feel a racist vibe toward Mexicans. But on my moms birthday, this weekend, we decided to go and I was translating for them to order. The waitress came back and she said her boss doesn't let them talk in Spanish.and all the white girls giving us dirty looks. It sucks to know there's still racist people. We are all human. My experience at Red Devil Pizza was disappointing, to say the least. After placing my order, I wasn't asked if I wanted to be seated, and when I inquired about dining in, I was abruptly refused. The lack of basic courtesy and the refusal to accommodate my simple request reflects poorly on their customer service. Clearly, they need to invest in better-trained servers who understand the importance of hospitality. Overall, a frustrating encounter that left me with a bad impression of the establishment. read more

I shop all over the place, I enjoy variety; but Ive also grown up with red devil pizza and my father worked with the original owner. I was worried from reviews and rumors going around that new management ruined the food and that there was poor customer service, but I can gladly say this was not the case. Have been here a few times and have always enjoyed it! The food is always really good, and I enjoy the restaurant itself. This past time I went the "waitresses" (I think Christina and Kelsey?) didn't really help us or check on us all that much. The poor freakin bus boy was doing the majority of the checking in with us and waitressing. The only downside! this has become out new fav dinner spot to catch up with family. The cheese bread is soooo good. The Pizza is even better. Never really super crowded which is great. The best part is you dont have to go for just pizza, for all you pasta lovers they have some great options. The Bread is fresh and not to chewy or thick. I came in at 9 and instead of being greeted, I was told we close at 10PM. I was a loyal customer for Red Devils for years but after this terrible encounter, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Picked up a Joey's Special pizza last night and was really disappointed. The crust was burnt and the toppings were overcooked, making the whole pizza hard to enjoy. I also asked for extra ranch for our antipasto salads and only received one each. Overall, not a great experience. Wouldn't recommend, other pizza places in the area, much better read more

I remember the Addams Family pinball table, the original Turtles arcade, King of the Monsters, Baseball Stars, the octagonal shape bar counter adjacent to the open pizza kitchen, the wall mirror tiles with yellow veins over the red leather booths and the RGB TV projector showing Raiders games on the walls. I remember the slices, pepperoni when I was that kid, the tomato sauce was thicker, chunkier. After Mikey's closed and moved I figured it was over, the end of an era forever. I learned of a Michaelangelo's in San Dimas through casual research in 2019, there is a Michael Angelo's somewhere in California but it wasn't until after the pandemic that I learned through more research the San Dimas and Monterey Park locations were/are the same place. I returned for the first time in 34 years May of '26. I ordered a medium meat lovers pizza to see what would happen. The dark red walls, the multiple flat screens and the modern arcade decor are a far cry from the 80's and early 90's. Still, they provide a welcome atmosphere of familiarity. The nostalgia builds all over again. The recipe felt so familiar and delicious to me but more than that. Michaelangelo's pizza tasted like memories. I tried the Michaelangelo's special in June. The Supreme pizza that you don't appreciate as a kid but only as an adult. The almost sourdough taste to the crust, the olive oil or canola oil flavor to the vegetables and cheese. I requested and got an extra layer of marinara sauce at no extra charge. It was sweet, tangy, I do miss the thick, chunky texture the sauce used to be on those slices but, as most of us old timers say, that was a long time ago. Based upon my three recent visits to Mikey's, because I am not in their 5 mile radius and I can only visit once a month, Michaelangelo's Pizza 1985 gets a solid from me. Do not order ahead of time except for catering. Walk in to order and visit as late as 7 to 7:30pm as they'll still keep those ovens on. Forget Domino's, bland. Forget Pizza Hut, it's spicy sponge. Forget Little Caesars, the cheese is Chef Boyardee. Chuck E. Cheese, WTF is that?! Forget Round Table, Shakeys and Straw Hat, their pizzas are the typical pay grade above DiGiornos but Michaelangelo's pizza tastes like memories, absolute bloody good memories. And nothing, I mean nothing has literally replaced the empty space that Michaelangelo's left behind in Monterey Park near East Los Angeles College longer than a few months. All those businesses failed and continue to fail. When I go there, it's not just the great pizza but the 80's and early 90's trip through time in TV and video games. That's what Michaelangelo's means to me.
