The pizza is always delicious, the beer is always cold, and the service at the counter was great. My concern is the cheap plates you eat on and having bathroom paper towels on every table. It's extremely tacky for a place with such great pizza. Not to mention whoever brought the pizza to our table brought it and dumped it off like we were cattle ready to graze. I'm a frequent customer here. I usually come on Thursdays. Food is great. Unfortunately, today, on a Friday, the wait was 45 mins but there was no wait to eat outside. So, we sat outside in the cold, which was fine. After waiting 15 min, no server came out to take our order. We left and went to another pizza place. I ordered a small pizza with multiple toppings and an antipasto salad. The salad was good as usual, the pizza was overcooked, the toppings were not generous, and there was little sauce and cheese. The host was extremely rude and arrogant. He refused to accommodate a disabled person properly to begin with. Then he made us wait forever for a table bc we dated to inconvenience him. We then had the waitress cock one heck of an attitude and tell us we couldn't order pizza to go. She refused to listen to what we were saying. We wanted to order pizza there. You see. I called in an order of garlic twists ahead of time and then when we arrived to pick that order up, fifteen minutes later.... It wasn't ready. If we waited until it was ready, the place we were going to get pizza from would be closed. So, we made a painful decision. We decided to just go ahead and have our entire meal here. We had to get a manager to come over to allow us to get our breadstick twist things. The waitress was yelling at me and informing me that we would have to cancel the order. All I wanted was to eat those while we were waiting for our pizza, which we assumed would take an eternity bc at this point it had already been thirty minutes and out bread sticks weren't even ready So, I ask for the manager. He comes over, and admittedly, came off with a huge attitude and ego straight out of the gate. However, once I explained what was.going on, he softened and told us we were fine and that it would be no problem what so ever. Apparently, to our waitress it was still extremely problematic. All of our food arrived ICE cold. Our drinks were NEVER refilled. She stood at the register talking about how I "karened" her when I NEVER even raised my voice. When she said she couldn't help me, I asked for a manager. I wasn't even a jerk. I just asked for a higher level since she couldn't get it all worked out. And of course.... While eating my second slice of pizza .... I immediately lost my appetite when I saw a cockroach run across the floor. Now, I could have made a big scene. Instead we discreetly tried getting the busboys attention. It didn't work. Finally my husband yelled out "hey boss!" To which the guy finally responded to him. My husband pointed at the cockroach.... I was picking up an order and when I got there, the young man saw through me as if I wasn't there, and he asked the people behind me if they were picking up an order. Finally he asked me if I was picking up food. I was picking up a pizza and a chicken salad, and when I got home, the chicken in the salad was all burned. I guess we came at a bad time because no one in the restaurant would acknowledge us. We waited to be seated. The servers walked past us refusing to make eye contact, even when we were calling them. We made a to go order and left. The young man taking our order was very nice. I understand busy, but it was a disappointing experience. There was a women in a wheelchair also waiting to be seated. Went to a social gathering of friends at Red Devil. We have been there before for social gatherings but not always our first choice for pizza. The pizza is good, just not great. It is okay for us for a group of us whom all have different tastes, but Red Devil just doesn't stand out. In past years, the pizza was far better. We tried several different types of pizza and they were just meh. Eatable, but not exciting. The prices were reasonable though. We found that they also charge a lot more for their pitchers of beer than in the past. The prices of $15 was a bit high for what we were getting. Overall, the atmosphere is good, with televised sports on around the room and stuff for the kids to do. This is a great place to bring the kids for pizza and play while you enjoy a cold one and check out the game.
