We have visited another Red Door location in southern California and had a great time, so we decided to try an escape room at their Las Vegas location while on vacation. Red Door Escape Room is on the second floor of the Grand Bazaar Shops across the street from the Bellagio fountains and in front of the Horseshoe Hotel & Casino. They are right at the top of the middle escalator towards the back of the shops. The lobby and interior hallways are immaculate and well decorated. They have six different rooms, and we decided to try the "Declassified" room which has a difficulty level of 8/10. The theme is to find a hidden hard drive in a prison that was once a secret research facility. The room was decorated really well, and had a great feel. Nothing was worn at all. The room was mostly linear, and had a good mix of locks and mechanical and physical puzzles. It is always nice to do a room that has a puzzle or two that you've never seen before, and that was the case with this one. One of the puzzles definitely requires two people if you are thinking about trying this room solo. You can ask for clues by pushing a red button by the door, and a hint will be displayed on the TV screen on the wall. This room was definitely a challenge, and we escaped with only a few minutes left on the clock. Our game master Muriel was very helpful and friendly. She said this was probably their second hardest room for only two people. They only charge $39.95 per person, even for only two people, which is a great deal to do an escape room these days. We had a great experience here, and would try one of their other rooms the next time we're in town. read more

A little hard to find the location since it is on the top floor next to the escalator. As a big fan of Borderlands I had to do the Borderlands room which I was really impressed with. Everything from decor, lore and voicing was top tier. You also get an echo device that contains the current objective they want you to complete. I also did the Declassified room after since they had an opening. To me it was not as immersive as the Borderlands room, but it was definitely challenging. I visited this location with my family (3 adults, 16 year old, 14 year old, and 7 year old) and we had an amazing time! Isaac and Chris were super helpful and encouraging. This was a fun and challenging escape room, with ne minor critique. When we asked for a clue, we were given a clue for a step we already completed a few steps ago. Also, it took some time to get the clue, so these things combined, the clues were not very useful. Also, the lobby smelled bad. Came to Las Vegas for a one day trip and decided to do an escape room. Came to Red Door as its an escape room chain we're already familiar with. It was super easy to book a room, and a few days later we went and were greeted by Albert where we had to do a riddle of the week to gain an extra clue in the room. We did the enchanted room cause it reminded us of Legend of Zelda and Isaac was our game master. He was super friendly and helpful. We were not disappointed! Escaped with 14 minutes to spare and had an absolute blast! If you book a room ANOTHER room the same day after playing your originally booked room, they give you a 20% discount. Definitely come to Red Door escape if you're looking for a quick and fun activity to do while in Vegas. read more

We did the Declassified escape room and luckily escaped with 1 min 24 seconds left. Lots of fun! My only complaint that there weren't lockers to put our stuff before the escape room, especially when we were carrying bags from a day of shopping & worried we'd either forget our stuff when we left after taking apart the room or possibly blocking a clue by placing our stuff down randomly in the room. read more

We played the Borderlands room on 11/25 after it has just opened. Our family are big fans of the game and escape room veterans so we had to try it. The atmosphere was AMAZING. Honestly, I wish we had time to just hang out in the space. The props, the puzzles, the music, the voices were all perfect. They absolutely crushed the production of the room. Fans of the game will be blown away by how immersive the experience is and how they included almost every facet of the video game in the room. Whoever did the set design deserves a raise, truly. The ECHO device was something that we've never seen in another room and we'd love to see more rooms implement something similar. The game play was pretty easy. We had two kids (ages 8 and 12) who are escape game veterans. This was their 5th room. We ran through with 20 minutes to spare and our first ten minutes was just us soaking it all up. Puzzles will be easy enough for escape room newbies. We didn't have any clues. A great beginner room! And easy enough for older kids/teens too. Our game host was clearly in training /a newbie but that's ok! We'd really love to see them hone up their pregame script especially while handing you the ECHO device. It's such an immersive room, it'd be cool for them to start that part a little early. Overall, this was a great experience. We'll be talking about this one for a while. read more

Had two game experiences here: The Relic with RJ and Enchantment with Madi! It was an impromptu escape room experience - we actually had lunch around the corner and decided to just seize the moment since we had some extra time! Both were great experiences, especially The Relic! One of the game mechanics was fun and we hadn't seen before in other escape rooms, so that was fun! Definitely recommend if you've got some time. We play a lot of escape rooms and this was good. I was not a fan of the last puzzle. It was quite a reach but there were a few unique puzzles. Great staff! Gamemasters were very nice. My friends went back and played the other two games and said it was ok. The location is right outside the casino with lots of places to grab a bite to eat so you can make a day of this. read more

We stayed at Paris Hotel so it was easy to get to by walking thru Horseshoe rather than along the strip. The Red Door lobby is very clean and well maintained. We did Enchantments which was very well done. The gamemaster Christina was excellent. Her pre-game explanations were very good and she was quick and precise with the couple of hints we used. She did nudge us a couple of times when we were taking a bit longer than average on a "puzzle." With her help, the two of us were able to escape just in time. Enchantments was very well put together and I highly recommend it. The next day, we did Borderlands with Isaac as our gamemaster. He was also excellent and quick with hints/nudges. Borderlands was fun, but we didn't feel a sense of accomplishment when we escaped bcuz we didn't need to solve all puzzles to do so. There were some puzzles that were just bonus and not needed to escape. Borderlands was still fun and had some good challenges, but I don't recommend it for those who are looking for excitement of escape. I do highly recommend Red Door Escape Room and we will be back to try out the other rooms. read more

This was so much fun! The staff were very nice and accommodating. The puzzles were fun! We did the Survival room and the kids (and adults) fully enjoyed themselves! We had a 3 year old, 6 year old two preteens and two adults and solved with 5 mins left on the clock. I'll say I had an average experience with this escape room compared to the many others I have been to. I've actually went to this location twice in one day to try two different rooms. The good thing is that it is in an excellent location located between Paris and the Horshoe. Pros: Rooms are creative, staff are nice, and booking is easy. Now the cons are where my issues started. Cons: - we encountered some puzzles that don't necessarily help lead into the next puzzle like other escape rooms do. So you'll solve something then end up at a dead end again instead of any meaningful or well paced progress. - we had issues with our game masters providing hints. For example, we were waving props to the cameras but we're given hints to a completely different puzzle. - Too many props. There are some props that are just for decoration which I don't like. Most attendees enter escape rooms wired to examine and account for everything in the room. There were props in the rooms that don't play any role in the puzzle we wouldn't have known better after wasting too much time with it. - Some puzzles require alignment which sounds like It should be straight forward but there's so many pieces and the artwork on the objects aren't consistent enough to know exactly how they fit without resorting to rapidly putting them together until something opens. - Some puzzles just don't work. There's a smelling one that was absolutely hard to do. Multiple bottles with a scent but it seemed like the potency of the scent mostly disappeared and the other bottles smelled too similar too each other. Made the puzzle almost impossible. - lastly, we were promised a 20% discount on a room if we were to returned. So, we booked online for another room but didn't receive the discount. We notified the front desk and they said they would attempt to contact management about it but nothing ever came of it. read more

I think some of the puzzles were a bit more than you'd be able to solve in an hour. But if it's too easy it's no fun! They have unlimited clues so we were able to solve the room and escape, but without some help we woulda been captured or fried on the electric fence. The atmosphere is great and the rooms are well put together. Staff is super friendly and efficient. And the cost was unbeatable. They don't plug you in with strangers they let your group solve the available room. That in itself was worth more (only three of us) but they charged the same rate. Have done 3 rooms here now, first one we enjoyed, second room was very illogical with subjective puzzles with no definitive answers. Borderlands was the big problem. Great atmosphere but several things didn't work, GM had to come in to help once then we got stuck on a puzzle that straight up didn't work and ran all our time down. Having a puzzle malfunction and wasting your time is really unfortunate and feels like you threw your money away. read more

I went for a friend's birthday and Red Door messed it up. We were in for about 15 min when something activated before it was suppose to. We didnt know, they came in about 10 min after it activated and stopped us with our time going. The manager asked us to step out so they could fix it. They couldn't fix it so told us to pretend that we didn't open things and have the items that came from them. We ended up accidentally finishing without completing everything. They gave us a tablet that was our Echo Device, and it never worked like they said it should. By the end of it we asked for a refund since it was our friends birthday and everything got jacked up and things didn't work proper. The manager on duty said we can't have our money back but if we spend more money then they will give us compensation. I read other similar stories about this place and now Google doesnt let you do reviews and they only keep the "good" reviews visible. Escape rooms are fun, this place is garbage! Boo hiss! We have done Red Door before in other cities and are very experienced escapers. We loved playing Lost Treasures because we are big video game fans, which made this room right up our alley. If you do not play or like video games, I would not suggest playing this room. We loved this room so much that we played The Relic and then Survival that same night! They also give a discount if you book another game the same day so that was a great incentive. Survival was definitely harder than Relic but they were all fun and unique in their own way. As an amateur escapee and 60+ I was disappointed. First, bring a jacket, we were uncomfortably cold, in the lobby and the escape room. There were lots of pad locks, most of them in positions and lighting difficult for us. May not be an issue for younger folks but frustrating for us. We clocked out after 20 min and went to sit in the sun and thaw out. They did tell us that they had just recently opened so maybe they'll work out the bugs. read more

We recently visited Red Door Escape Room in Las Vegas and, as seasoned escape room enthusiasts with over 100 games under our belts, we were excited to try all five rooms at this location over the weekend with 2 or 3 players. Having enjoyed other Red Door locations, we appreciated the unique 45-minute format, which allows for reasonably priced private rooms on the Strip--especially when compared to pricier or shared experiences elsewhere. On the positive side, the theming and props were great across the board, and we were impressed with how well they utilized the space, even though these are all single-room experiences. "Lost Treasures" felt like a fun, video game-like adventure, and "The Relic" was our favorite, with engaging puzzles and solid theming. The staff was also friendly and accommodating, and the return discount for same-day bookings was a nice bonus. These rooms would be especially good for beginners, as the puzzles are straightforward and the overall difficulty is manageable. However, there were a few drawbacks. The audio in "Lost Treasures" was poorly mixed, making it difficult to hear the voice actor over the music. In "Declassified," we were disappointed to see many puzzles reused from the "Prison Break" room in California, especially since we were told these would all be new games. Additionally, the audio in "Declassified" wasn't working at all, which detracted from the overall experience. Overall, this location shows promise and could be excellent once they work out a few kinks. For experienced players, we recommend keeping your group size small (as we did with 2 or 3 players), as most rooms can be solved in 20-30 minutes. It would also be helpful if staff provided a heads-up when puzzles are reused from other locations to avoid any potential letdowns. A solid experience, and while it's especially great for beginners, with a little more polish, it could be even better! read more
