Red Door Grill was fantastic! From the food to the service, we had such a great experience. There was plenty of seating, and we only waited about 15 minutes when we walked in. Our waiter was exceptional--so kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the restaurant. You could genuinely tell he was passionate about his job, and it seemed like the employees there actually enjoy working there, which made the atmosphere even better. I ordered the Sweet Cheeses Burger, cooked medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. My friend got the Classic Burger and loved it as well. The portion sizes were huge! We also got both the sweet potato fries and regular fries, and I think the sweet potato fries were the winner. The Coconut Lavender Margarita was SO good. Great flavor, refreshing, and definitely something I'd order again. We also shared a Caesar salad, which was delicious. It had the perfect amount of dressing and tasted really fresh. I also loved that the menu wasn't overly complicated. There were plenty of good, easy-to-choose-from options without feeling overwhelming. Overall, an easy 5 stars! Great food, great service, generous portions, and a really welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

I had been dying to try this place. Did I think my sandwich was worth $17? Not really. The flavor of the chicken was delicious! But I am Giving 4 stars for a couple reasons. Our wait for our food was 32mins. And we both ordered out sandwiches without lettuce (I am allergic) and both came out wrong. They did take ownership of mine and replaced it and comped it. If I went back I would try the appetizers instead for a different feel. Full house so they was nice to see.

What a transformation this location turned out to be in Aksarben. It's beautiful inside and you can see the entire kitchen preparing food. We split the coconut chicken with salad that was delicious.

This was a very nice restaurant for our trip in Omaha. The service was great and our waitress did fantastic keeping up with our larger party of 10. She was very attentive and friendly. We were seated quickly and the restaurant was spacious. We had our own little corner to chat and enjoy. Appetizers were filling but we still enjoyed (and devoured) our salads. Would prefer the Sonora to have less tortilla chips but that's the only thing I'd change. Everything tasted fresh and we were very pleased with our dining experience.

Very nice casual restaurant. On the very end of the Aksarben village where the grocery store used to be. Service was very nice from beginning to end we loved our server! Fried pickles are a must! The food came out hot and flavorful

Friday night brought in quite the crowd, but don't be afraid to ask for outdoor seating! The service out there did not lack at all and was quite peaceful, even considering it being right off center. Clean tables with umbrellas, and light music to keep the vibes going. After two more times of coming here, I can say the appetizers here really stand out compared to the rest of Aksarben, especially during their happy hour! Like previously stated, the pretzel bites are a MUST! The famous fried pickles, perfectly crunchy, paired with dilly and garlicky ranch that was drinkable (imo). It's a thinly sliced pickle.... Like hamburger style kinda.... I'm usually not a fan of fried pickles, but they've really changed my mind on this one. Lastly, the prime rib, which I was told is indeed more of a ribeye as they do grill it after cutting the piece, was surprisingly delightful! Don't be afraid as my medium rare, was indeed still medium rare when it got to the table. Juicy, peppery, and well seasoned ribeye, with a great amount of fat and char. Creamy horseradish and Au Jus on the side to create an amazing bite and even better dinner. Servers are attentive, even for a busy Friday night, we got our food and apps timely! Management is super sweet and was coming around to the tables to check food, which was reassuring. Have yet to try their desserts but can't wait for the next time here. Aksarben really got a foodie gem with Red Door!

I've been twice now and this is a new favorite for me. This place is huge inside, tons of seating, a full bar, tvs everywhere! I'm so glad a place like this opened in Aksarben because it really needed it. Last night it was packed and the music was playing so it was a bit loud but not impossible to hear your dining companion. So far I've tried the garden social and the one with the Pinot noir floater and both are delicious. Pro tip, ask for a splash of lime in the garden social! The sheet pan nachos were so good! The black beans were actually refried and the pan was huge. The Sonora salad is awesome and just FULL of 'toppings' and huge too. Last night I tried the French dip and this is a GOOD French dip. The horseradish sauce on the meat is to die for. Some French dips are meh, this one is killer. Check out the happy hour specials. All bar drinks are half off on tuesdays! Service has been attentive and friendly both times and I'm basically just counting down the days till I can go try some more stuff.

Warm Beignets for dessert - yum!

My sister and I met here for an early afternoon birthday lunch. It was raining so it was nice to park in the nearby parking garage and only a short walk to the back entrance. We were seated right away in sort of the main area in front of the bar. They did have an assortment of booths or tables. It was very nice with high ceilings and lovely decor. Lots of options on the menu but not overwhelmingly so like some places. My sister opted for the miso salmon and I got the chimichurri salmon salad and we both loved our choices! Interesting to note our server asked how we liked our salmon cooked and we both choose medium well -- cooked through but still flaky. The miso salmon had a bit of a kick to it and I loved the inclusion of goat cheese with the balsamic vinaigrette in my salad. We didn't get an appetizer but did split a side of Brussel sprouts with bacon jam and that was super delicious. Since it was my sister's birthday that day, they gave us an order of the warm Beignets for dessert. So uncommon to see that on a menu and we loved it. Just the right amount of sweet to top of a meal without being too heavy. Our server was really great, too, with just the right amount of attention. Can't wait to return with my spouse sometime.

Enjoyed a wonderful Fathers Day brunch with my son and was quite impressed. The ambiance was comforting, our meals were delicious and service was great. Very pleased they've opened this facility in Omaha and encourage others to visit.

red door woodfire grill completely surprised me - this was one of the best meals i've had in recent memory. the service was quick and friendly, and it didn't take more than 15 minutes to get our entrees. their happy hour is from 4-6pm and includes a good variety of drinks and food. i wish the pickles themselves in the fried pickles were a bit thicker, but everything else was amazing. the steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, and the mule was a great value on happy hour. i liked how it was both an upscale atmosphere while being laid back with lots of windows facing baxter arena. we will definitely be back to try their desserts!

Great new spot in Aksarben. Large open dining room with a large bar in the middle. They also have a large patio with a fireplace. The menu was pretty large with burgers, sandwiches and salads. We had the prime rib egg rolls to start and split the Sonora salad. Both were delicious! The prime rib was tender and cheesy. The salad had a nice amount of toppings with ancho woodfired chicken breast that had a nice kick. Definitely plan on coming back to try more off the menu!

I'm from California. I'm here for a baseball tournament for my son's travel team. This was my third time coming within a five day period-twice with a group of 20. Louise, the manager handled my group professionally, accommodated, and made this experience worth it's wild. I would 100% recommend. I would come back here again. What took me by surprise is this place has only been open for two weeks prior to my visit. I would have never guessed as it ran so smoothly. My son had the cheeseburger, juices were running down his hands. I had the fish & chips and they were amazing. Prior to this visit I also had the shrimp and Ahi tacos. Would hands-down have it again. The prime rib eggrolls- also amazing. Almost reminded me of an In-N-Out burger. Anyway, this place has a great vibe. Make sure to give Louise a big hello.

Really, really fine, something I'd definitely order again. For me. Not to share. I had the Schnitzel Bennie with tart cherry jam and lemon hollandaise. Sound unusual? Tasted great! My only gripe was that the pork cutlet was a bit small and could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. Would I order it again? You betcha! Service was fast and efficient. The decor was quirky and inviting but the space was loud enough that it was really hard to carry a conversation. Overall rating: yahoo!

My husband is a much harsher critic than I am, and he gave it a "rare 5.5 out of 5." The pancakes were some of the fluffiest I've ever had. They also have a great selection of coffee flavors to choose from, which was a fun bonus. The coffee paired perfectly with breakfast, though I probably wouldn't come here just for the coffee alone. The flavor was good but it did have a slight burnt taste. A quick note: you order at the counter before sitting down. It's a mix of self-serve and sit-down service. You order at the counter, grab your own silverware, and seat yourself, but they bring your food and drinks out to you (other than water). I do wish they were a bit more attentive about clearing finished plates during the meal. The restaurant was so busy that the line was out the door when we arrived, but it moved surprisingly fast. I was worried we wouldn't find a table, yet there were plenty of open seats available. The atmosphere is also really nice and cozy, making it a great spot to start your day.

I got the churro French toast, my husband the breakfast sandwich with crispy potato's on the side, and then we ordered a side of bacon. French toast was fun. Crispy and crunchy, good with and without syrup. It had 3 triangles and it was easily shareable, but I understand if you don't want to haha. The breakfast sandwich was dense. We were surprised at how heavy it actually was. My husband said he liked the sage taste throughout the sausage, and he liked the aioli they had on it as well. The crispy potatos were different. Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

They were fairly busy, and honestly our food took a bit to come out, but I am still giving a five due to the overall experience and quality of service. Our server Melannie was fantastic and always present. We did the bottomless mimosa deal (3 out of 4 of us) and she was always coming around asking us what flavor we wanted next when our current was still half full to make sure we got our moneys worth. The champagne might not be the fanciest, but for $20 bottomless mimosas I'll take it. They have fun flavors in addition to the basic ones like strawberry, mango, etc. which adds an element of fun. For food--there were several things I was eyeballing but landed on the spicy chorizo Benny. It was really good, eggs cooked perfect, and came with hashbrowns. Another at our table got the poutine which also looked yummy. I'd say the food portion could have included a bread/toast option, however If brunching in Omaha i'd return to try several things on the menu. The vibe inside is chill, would be more fun sitting outside once the weather warms up. Since I was the one that booked the reservation, the tab got a bit confusing. At first they were taking it off my total, then the server said that hold would come off so I paid for my meal/drinks there. I did end up getting double charged (for both the reservation hold and my meal) which was cleared up with a quick phone call to their establishment---apparently it is a new process they are trying. I do understand though why they wouldn't want to just deduct the hold as then people that don't know how to tip wouldn't tip on the total, which hurts the server. All was cleared up regarding this mishap though so no complaints.

May 25th, 2026 Food:…read moreWaited a whole hour for an easy order... which was a mini charcuterie board with a plate of avocado toast... when it was served... it looked pretty and at first I didnt mind about the long wait, but I was disappointed because it tasted like it was made an hour ago but was barely being served to me a whole hour later.. so yeah.. not worth it and now I do mind.. a soggy toast isn't on my list.. Ambiance: It was a nice regular refreshing bar/brunch spot. But safety was a HUGE issue which is where I'll get to my point of this low rating. Service: Is negative zero a thing? That goes to the owner... the 1 star is for the decent service my server attended towards me. In unfortunate events it's not the servers fault.. but overall with the owner coming out, couldnt be anymore careless.. The Cause: Either the owner or a staff employee whomever that is responsible for setting up the patio umbrellas, and I mean those large heavy metal patio umbrellas, well, they failed to lock the pole of the umbrella and unfortunately the umbrella lifted and blew away and had hit a family in the face that were dining there also; instant noticeable bruising to the face... I was only a table away from them.. it could have been me too. I am disappointed in the lack of care in general that surrounded the scene. Little 5 ft me... was the only one that came to help while everyone else sat around and minded their own business... it took a long while until one of the staff noticed to help and then the owner came out and awkwardly said a one word-sorry and dipped... didnt come back to offer any hospitality, non-genuine and non-apologetic... it made me lose my appetite. They had the audacity to still charge the family their meal... but I had to tell these really nice folks to make sure they get comped back. It was sickening to me on how careless they were treated. I would never come back! I mean an exaggerating long wait, cold soggy food and careless hospitality from the owner himself. That's three major strikes. P.s. That same wknd.. the news showed up about a South Carolina woman that was struck by a patio umbrella and died on site... that says alot about lacking safety. Yes, search it up. It's real news.. Hope this help improves the business alertness. P.p.s. And although I was disappointed at this dining-bar overall... I still tipped my server a good $20 as the situation was out of their control, my server was still attentive towards me. They all just need social common courtesy in empathy and hospitality. But anyways, my lunch ended with bittersweetness with the family that got struck, they comped my whole meal for genuinely being the only one that was concerned for them. The only service I'm grateful for was that.
