    Shrimp mac & cheese

Picked this place randomly, and it was GREAT! We had a great waitress (Evia). If we needed something she was on it. BONUS, she also had a very great personality!!!! The food was delicious. The chowder was awesome! Husband had the blackened prime rib sandwich and he said it was very tasty and it was also big enough to split with someone. I also had the shrimp Mac-n-cheese minus a couple of things and it was also delicious. The restaurant looked like it was a new building or newly renovated but it was very clean and it had very nice vibe. It also had a few local beers that were unique. I would definitely go back!!!!

I came for the black pepper encrusted tuna the Tuesday special we saw it online and had to try it . I ordered rare and it can out perfectly cooked. The black pepper was initially a lot but it grew on me. The meal included a very tasty sauce that complimented the tuna nicely. The fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mashed potatoes were a little dry but the meal overall was great. We love coming here every year because the menu if full of options that are well down and the service is friendly.

We sat down quickly but the servers each had a lot of tables to wait, it took a while to order, get our food (which didn't all come together or even close to together), waited on the bill and the credit card to come back; we ate a variety of foods, 3 of us got seafood and the rest got traditional Americana meals, all were good & satisfied us; we would go again maybe a little earlier than 5.

Off season but still worth the visit! Reuben sandwich for me and a Greek salad with chicken for the wife. Bartender was really nice. Took good care of us while we were there

Ordered dinner for pick-up, they gave us an estimated pick up time of 30 minutes and it was ready in 10, so super quick service. We had the catch of the day burrito and the blue burger- both of which were delicious! Very happy with our meal after a long drive to the beach.

The vibe inside is really fun. Decor was cute and there was a pool table and foosball table. Server was nice and left us to enjoy our meal checking in periodically. Painkillers drinks were good. Barrel dip was amazing. Red drum sandwich was good and I enjoyed it but not a stand out.

We ordered food Togo so can't speak to the restaurants atmosphere but the food was great. The blackened tuna sandwich was amazing. Huge peice of tuna on a brioche bun. The Hatteras chowder was decent. It had a ton of clams and flavor. I do prefer the cream based version to the brothy like the Hatteras style. But just a personal preference and when your in the outer banks you have to try the Hatteras style.

Wow. We just arrived on vacation, escaping the daily toil of the endless need for government services in the Washington D.C. area. Tired of the work, work, work, we took off this morning after making quick and lucky reservations. We drove non stop, 4.5 hours, with, you guessed it, two very spoiled children. Sassy and Mellow. Yes, our cats. Our day ended by randomly looking for somewhere to eat, without any research. We saw the Red Drum Taphouse and I knew, for me, this would work. Not only was my steamed shrimp amazing, so were the two young ladies that were preparing, serving, bartending, and cooking. Reena and "sounds like" Yayna, were so fun. Were back out our hotel on the beach, and could not be happier. Thanks Ladies for making our road trip a happy ending. Mickey and Tee

For a restaurant in Nags Head, OBX, Red Drum Tap House was not a bad selection. However, it was definitely on the $$$$ side. Fried Calamari Appetizer was lightly battered and quite refreshing. It came with a sweet and tangy like dipping sauce that gave the dish a more "tropical/summer" feel. Great for 3. Shrimp Jambalaya - definitely a meal that can be shared. There were generous pieces of shrimp and andouille sausage. Very flavorful with a little bit of a kick. However, towards the end, I felt like the meal itself was a bit too acidic with the tomatoes. Overall, a very flavorful dish and definitely will get your stomach feeling full and satisfied. 1lb Snow Crab Legs - not bad, but a bit over priced for market pricing. It was a little bit on the saltier side, but overall very good.

I woke up...and had a delicious time! The reviews here tell you how great this place is, and well...believe them! I thought for sure it would be over-hyped and not live up to what people write and say, but I will admit to being wrong. First, our server, Krickett, was agreed upon (by my partner and I) to be the best server we have ever had. She was friendly, outgoing, had good recommendations, and an all-around joy. Second, the food! Wow! My partner had a salad...simple enough, right? But no, she was amazed by it. And she is a vegetarian, so she has had a lot of salads over the years. This one blew her away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Was it life-changing? No. But it was way better than what a grilled chicken sandwich normally is. It was tender, juicy, with just the right seasoning. I would be a criminal if I didn't mention the bruschetta...get it with the burrata...it is worth it! The crispy bread with balsamic drizzle is good enough with the diced tomato mix, but the cheese gives it a new level. And, I hope you saved room for dessert, because the key lime pie was a mouth explosion.

The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: the front section is first-come first-served bar seating that offers the full menu. The back section, which would be ideal for families, holds about 30 tables, mostly booths, with the hostess stand. We chose to sit at the bar and had a great experience. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My husband ordered the special hamburger with Swiss cheese bacon, spinach and mayo with a side of fries. We ended with slices of the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! The food, service, staff and environment were exceptional! We overheard the Server mention that veterans receive complementary meals on Veterans Day, which speaks volumes about how this restaurant supports those who have served. If you are in the Outer Banks- whether you're staying in Kill Devil Hills or nearby- this restaurant is worth the drive and all the hype!

After one visit, I completely understood why he kept coming back! The restaurant has the perfect laid-back beach atmosphere. The bright, colorful décor immediately puts you in vacation mode and creates a fun, welcoming environment. My son ordered the mussels and the salmon. The mussels were the standout of the meal--steamed perfectly and served in a rich, garlicky white wine broth that was so good you could easily soak it up with bread until the bowl was empty. The salmon was beautifully prepared, looked fantastic, and judging by the empty plate, he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I played it a little safer and ordered the fish and chips, and I have zero regrets. The fish was perfectly fried with a crispy, golden coating while staying flaky and tender inside. It was seasoned well and full of flavor. And as someone who can never resist great fries, these definitely hit the mark--hot, crispy, and the perfect complement to the fish. Between the delicious food, relaxed beach vibes, and friendly atmosphere, Noosa Grill made for a very enjoyable dining experience. It's easy to see why it's become a favorite among both locals and seasonal visitors. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the OBX!
