    Steak & Eggs

nice cozy place. coffee was good. I ordered steak and eggs, added onion , tomato, mushroom, and cheese to my eggs. kristy was our server and she was amazing! kept our coffee topped off and made sure to check in every few minutes to ensure we were doing ok.

Before today I would have called myself a regular, that's until I met Brian. Brian happened to get to the bar five minutes after me be greeted servers and cooks and get his meal before I was even asked what my order was. My server (not his) got his drink and managed to check on him 2x as much as she did me. Food was delicious overall though pancakes were a little bland. I'll probably go back but lower my expectations for service and try not to go at the same time as Brian !

The Red Geranium Café is the quintessential "everywhere" eatery - I've dined in this minimalist décor many times, from Alaska to Tahiti - that expression of communal food served in simple, unpretentious surroundings. Miranda, my server this morning, was bubbly, enthusiastic, and knew the menu well. She cheerfully endorsed one of my choices as a repeat favorite of "the construction guys"; how could I say no? The Pig Pile (sausage, ham, bacon, cheddar, tater tots, sausage gravy, topped with two eggs) is savory, filling, and entertaining. They're something so hotel about a breakfast that uses tater tots! For my sweetie, fast asleep at home, I got the Sugar Bread (cinnamon bread with icing). That'll get her going! Tasty coffee, endlessly refilled without my noticing, didn't hurt my ebullient mood. Will return!

We were really excited to try this cafe for breakfast -but it didn't go well for a few reasons. I got sick, my meal was NOT tasty (though my partner's was), and the cost -$30 for two breakfasts with water (not including tip) was really expensive considering portion, quality, and breakfast costs. Although it initially felt like no one wanted to be the ones to seat us, staff were very friendly. We ordered the pig pile and country fried steak. The country fried steak was very good -cooked to perfection and flavored nicely. The pig pile tasted like there was rancid/cheap pork product in it, the eggs weren't cooked as requested, and I got sick as I left the restaurant. The country fried steak was good -but we will probably not return because of the cost. On top of high menu costs, there was a 3% surcharge to cover the rising costs of food -I'm not sure why they didn't just change menu prices, but it seemed to be a bit much on top of already inflated costs.

Biscuits and gravy platter with scrambled eggs and tater tots. Good stuff.

Food, portions, service, prices were all good. Just had one thing -- biscuit and gravy platter -- and it was good. Not sure what else to say. The food came out fast, service came with a smile, food was cooked well. This place is definitely on the list to bring people to. It's not unique, just solid, and that's worth something.

Stopped in for a bite to eat. Decided on a farmers omelet, omelet was dry. Wasn't worth the $11 I paid for it. Menu is a lot smaller now.

But I liked that a lot, so I enjoyed it. The ambiance is lively and energetic. There's a lot of seating available, and different types including a massive couch. It is noisy in there with everyone talking, but I dont think its too bad if you want to study there. They do have a stage where they have bands perform, they also have trivia nights. I hope to check out one of the trivia nights. There is a decent size parking lot in the back. This parking lot was filled on a Tuesday night, so its definitely a spot to go and check out. This is one of the best places I have been to in GR! Highly recommend it!!

Both were really good. I definitely had to remind myself to sip on the vietnamese coffee, instead of gulping it down. The food options are limited, they have bagels and croffles. I tasted the croffle from a friend and it is tasty. My friend got their banana coffee and liked that a lot. I normally get the bagel. They also sell some goodies like matcha set.
