I've purchased several items at INspiration on Kapiolani but since I was in the area for other reasons I though why not give this locations peek since they do have lots of options for all types of furnishings. Obviously located in Kapolei Commons which is amazing as there's lots of free parking options you can find them all the way at the end after Target near the theater which is nice that we didn't have to fight to find a stall as it can get quite busy in that part of the shopping center. Walking into the spacious showcase floor we were greeted by a staff to a point that we didn't need any assistance at the moment as we started to look for a chair...yup just a simple single chair which sounds easier than done we came here knowing that they do have a great selection to choose from and found prices from $79 to $499 for a single chair lol! All the way in the back there is a section that they consider the "outlet" prices which looked the same as the rest of the prices so it didn't seem like it was a discount as one was a floor model that should be the obvious discounted price to offer but didn't find anything in that section. With that we did find a chair that fit all the boxes that we were looking for and found the sales staff to finalize the sale and as she did her thing we paid and was given the chair as I asked if they had it in stock to the answer she replied yes they did..yay! She walked over and gave us the chair from the floor...and said this was it? To her defense it was New Year Day and the warehouse was closed BUT didn't confirm that if the floor model would be okay and still sold it to us at full price...she thought that we didn't mind. I didn't appreciate the lack of communication but took it anyways paid and got our paperwork to which we walked out the door quite disappointed to which she chased us down later cause she need the tag that was attached to it lol, then came back again for the paperwork to confirm we got the item...not impressed with the professionalism and communication as it all was very basic yet done so poorly for just a chair thankfully it wasn't a whole set of furniture.

Sione confirmed were in the house I wanted the items placed. I was very concerned that my new vinyl flooring was not damaged as the teak root was extremely heavy. They did a great job, very courteous, and made sure the piece was centered to the wall. Too bad the lady who called in the morning of the delivery had a "sour" attitude. Otherwise, I would have given it a 5-star rating.

The dining table that I wanted was out of stock so he helped me put a hold and downpayment on the next delivery. Everything went smoothly. I saved even more money like $160 on the delivery by picking it up from their warehouse which is located across the Salt Lake Target. Assembly was easy and glad i did it myself than pay for that, Higher end furniture is on the second floor, cheaper lower end on the first floor I like that they had a huge variety to choose from. I met my salesman Matt who is great by the way. I picked something out and in addition purchased four dining chairs. My delivery was set. It came a week later and the sofa was defective!!! I'm on the phone with customer service explaining the problem and I refused the delivery. The dining chairs were fine. Now I have to wait another 8 days for another sofa. I have asked for it to be unwrapped before delivery to make sure nothing is wrong the second time around. As it's a waste of their time and mine. I'm not having very good luck with sofas.The more I think about this the more upset I get. They took both of my sofas so we have nothing to sit on and I'm recovering from a back injury. I don't understand how their delivery process is my problem I should have priority in this case. Waiting another week is unacceptable. They have dropped the ball twice. Found this place on FB Marketplace and it doesn't disappoint. Located in Kapolei, you take last exit (Kalaeloa) from H-1 heading west. Great signage and it's a large-ish warehouse with parking in front for easy load-in. Industrial floor fans keep the place cool while you browse. Lots of used hotel furniture that are priced to sell! We were stunned to see so many pieces for living room, dining, bedroom, artwork, lamps, mirrors, lanai furniture, mattresses, area rugs, tables and decorative screens. Some do have marks or small scratches on them but these can be remedied with paint pens sold at Walmart, City Mill. They take cash or charge cards. Not sure about checks, Venmo or Apple Pay. All employees are very nice and helpful, a couple guys just walked over to help us load up, another young girl made sure we didn't forget our lamp and walked it over to us. The cherry on top was if you spend $100 or more you get to pick something from a designated row of large mirrors and artwork! We went back twice already and going another time since we don't own a truck. Hopefully the items we wanted will still be there. Mahalo to this business for repurposing these items so us local folk can enjoy without spending a fortune.

The interior design of all my previous homes were very "pieced together"; it was never a cohesive theme. If anything...the theme would be cluttered. But my boyfriend is completely opposite. He has that stylistic eye and hates clutter, so I rely on him when it comes to furnishing our home. As we talked about how we want to decorate our future home, we knew we had to find unique pieces that would match the color scheme of the condo and something we would like. On a whim, we checked out Red Knot and stumbled upon the couch that met all of our criteria: 1. Gray 2. Unique look with the white stitching, not so boxy design and it came with two little stools that would be stored in the armrest 3. Had a chaise Plus it had a matching ottoman with storage and can turn into a bed. We loved it. But of course we had questions. And, it's like the furniture gods heard our prayer and sent us Derek. He saw us looking around and stopped by us to see how we were doing and if we had questions. He was able to answer all of our questions and helped us with the transaction. When learning that we were in the process of buying a place, he helped us to figure out the timing of when we would receive couch as well as the payment options available. Besides from the great service we received, I loved the wide selection of items available and the prices are competitive. I know we will be back for the other pieces.

The warehouse was easy to find it is right off Farrington Hwy between Leokane and Pupukahi streets. When you pull off Farrington Hwy, you will be in the warehouse's parking lot, which has about 6 slots (1 handicap accessible) from what I remember. The lot looks like it is shared with another business but I don't remember the name however, I believe they are affiliated because the man that was standing in that doorway walked into the furniture store behind us. Once we walked in, a male employee greeted us and asked what were we looking for. I informed him that we were in search of a chest of drawers so he walked me to the back corner. Maybe my understanding of a chest of drawers is different? From what I've been taught, it is typically a bedroom furniture (you know, the one that goes in the bedroom where you store clothes?). In any case, he showed me something that looked more like a display cabinet typically for the living room. It was a beautiful case but, not practical for what I was looking for. Price - oh boy! The display case I was shown was $900+ The employee stated it was solid wood so I suppose that justified the price. Other items in the store were also pricey. I looked at a beautiful, solid wood again according to the employee, queen-size bed. When I asked for the price, he stated "approximately $11,000 for the set" which must be bought together. If I wanted just the bed, I would not be able to get it; set only. Delivery to Ewa Beach area would be about $150 (I am not sure the cost to deliver elsewhere). The store was packed with all sorts of "oriental" furniture. Their Facebook page states that the furniture is manufactured in their own factories but I'm not sure where those factories are located. When I asked where the furniture is from, the employee stated that they are from Japan, South Korea, and other Asian countries. He even showed me a display cabinet called Korean cabinet; only named so but not made in Korea. The store has some beautiful furniture with unique designs but it was not what I was looking for. Even if I loved something there, like the bed for example, the price was much too high for what I would spend.

5 January 2021 In…read moresearch of a chest of drawers, I Googled 'furniture stores' and found ABC Furniture. When I looked at it's location on the map I was a bit puzzled. I was puzzled because I go to a gym in the area an never noticed a furniture store. I was wrong. It is right next to the gym I go and I noticed the building ever time except, based on the sign, I always thought it was a mattress warehouse only. The parking lot is shared with the other businesses. It looks like it would be challenging to navigate if it were full, especially since there were two large delivery trucks parked outside. There is also street parking available too. The exterior of the building isn't too appealing. It is a warehouse style building crammed between a church and what looks like a woodworking shop (maybe that's where they repair furniture?). That made it a bit confusing to find the entrance. Once we found a door, we poked our heads inside to verify we were in the right place. An employee at the desk (she looked like the owner/manager by he demeanor) was on the phone but welcomed us in. After walking past the desk, we noticed all the furniture. It is a big facility but all the furniture was packed in there. The showroom had furniture for ever room in the house. I even noticed a sleeper (I have been thinking of getting one) but it was a floral colour and I want something plain with a solid colour. We saw three chest of drawers that we liked. They were simple and each was a different shade of brown. Each were approximately $900. I think the price is on par for Hawaii. Delivery to Ewa Beach would be $95. Another female employee was helpful with showing us all the different pieces and answering any questions we had. We were not committed yet so we took a business card and left. I believe we will be back.
