We went to the Red Line for the first time during peak Sat morning breakfast. It has a great look to it. But service and food didn't live up to it. Coffee was diner-decent. I had the Eggs Copenhagen, Benedict but with salmon and spinach. It was good. The side of turkey sausage was substantially underwhelming. No flavor. My wife ordered the Santa Fe Wrap. On the menu it had a cornucopia of veggies. In reality it was 90% home fries and little else. When we sent it back they returned it with microscopically more avocado. Coffee refills were few and far between (a good manager on a busy day grabs the pot and works the room). I do not see a reason to return. We're red lining the Red Line. read more

We went on a Saturday night. Service and ambiance was great. I got the Manhattan clam chowder which was good. I also got their "veggie burger" which was a little strange/unexpected but very tasty -- was made up of what seemed to be rice and cheese? -- there should be a warning to vegans on the menu. I didn't mind much, and, like I said, it was tasty, but I kind of expected the standard peas/carrots/etc. green patty. It was also served on a nice, fancy multigrain seed bun, as opposed to normal low-end diner fare. My husband got the Cajun burger which he said was good, and had a spicy sauce. Overall, lively atmosphere and very inexpensive. Dinner for us both, including soup ($2.95!), 2 entrees, and a root beer float, was $26. Will be back soon. read more

Don't order delivery from them, missing items almost every time. Usually it's something minor, but this time it was my entire meal. When I called them to try to work out a solution, the manager suggested I re-order, and re-pay for it, or pick it up myself. Being that we are in a pandemic I didn't find either option to be ideal, especially since I already paid for my entire meal including the $5.99 delivery fee and I did not want to go into the crowded restaurant to pick it up. After 30 seconds of being on the phone with the manager and not liking his "solutions," he accuses me of holding up the entire restaurant. Stopped in early (around 6am) for breakfast. Despite the place being relatively empty, waited over 10 mins for a server to ask of we wanted coffee. Coffee was very weak. Server took our order. We waited about 30mins for pancakes and acrambled eggs. The pancakes had a raw flour taste, and definitely could have cooked more. The scrambled eggs were flavorless. read more

This is one of my favorite diners in the Hudson Valley, they're doing everything right! Their breakfast is amazing and I don't know who's cooking their steaks, but they're out of this world! They have an outstanding bakery, excellent chicken salad and good burgers and fries--but I have been disappointed when ordering omelettes as they tend to be over cooked. Place is UNbelievable... ordered the classic burger and the name says it all. Ordered it with ONLY cheese cooked medium well. Didn't know that meant add every topping in the kitchen including but not limited to lettuce and juicy, nasty tomatoes that made sure to leave their remnants dispersing their seeds and tomato juice all over my burger. It didn't stop there- remember how I ordered it medium well? Apparently that means throw it on the grill for a minute, maybe two minutes at most leaving it nice and pink, oozing with blood. I enjoyed the food but they were very understaffed for breakfast. Maybe mismanaged is a better term. Our waitress was very busy while others were standing around playing on their phone. The biggest rip off Ive ever had the displeasure of ordering. Charging 15$ for chicken and waffles, when they give you two tiny waffle pucks, two bone in pieces of kfc quality chicken and a few cheap sides is ridiculous. This place is VERY pretty inside. Food is good no issues there but out of the 5 times I have been there it is hit or miss on service. I have gotten wrong orders, sometimes no body brings bread, takes while to get seated, get check.. Again this place needs much better staff. The food is pricey, also its not really a diner. Im new to the area and I'm here at least once a week. The food is very good here. Large portions, large selection, fast service and most of all very friendly wait staff. Nice atmosphere with pleasant people (I hate it when it's too loud). If something isn't right they take it off your bill with no fuss. Plenty of parking and for me I can kill two birds with one stone and get a car wash (next door) on my way. read more
