The manager is so attentive to us. My favorites, clam chowder, popcorn shrimp, shrimp and chips. Their baked potatoes are baked with sea salt on the skin which keeps them from drying out. Wife and I went to the Red Lobster for lunch in March and we both got the Fish and Chips which said the fish was cod. We got tilapia instead of cod. Tilapia is a cheap garbage fish farm raised in China. The only place in Anderson that serves real cod is McGee's Pub. Cod should be thick, white and flaky. Don't get ripped off by Red Lobster. I grew up in New England eating cod and I can tell the difference between scrod, cod, haddock, tuna, swordfish, salmon, lobster, real scallops or stamped out scallops and tilapia and catfish, etc. read more

We go to Red Lobster regularly, we are friends with the managers that work there, and Terri,Annette,Trinia,Jason and Cassie, we have going there for a long time now. Terri is our lady of the hour she serves us regularly. I like their Lobster Bisque and their biscuits, it's usually ice tea and water. Also Angie and the rest of the staff. We had to use some gift cards, only reason we went there. This location tends to be bad. It was worse than bad. The salad had lettuce that should have been thrown away. We got the admirals feast. Entire plate was barely warm. Seemed like was left over from lunch and barely heated. When the entire meal was left on our plate, should have been a clue. This was one of the worst dining experiences I have ever encountered, and that is saying so much! I have given exactly ONE one star review and that was strictly for the fact that we weren't served/greeted and left before I could even experience it. This was the first dining experience I have ever encountered that truly merits a one star review. I was meeting a friend and we went to the bar, which is where we typically sit. There was a manager behind the bar who clearly knew the guest she was talking to pretty well. We sat down and at this point she was the only person behind the bar. Instead of greeting us or saying the bartender will be here in a moment, she walked around the bar and proceeded to continue talking to the guy she had been talking too. This was annoyance number one for me. This is a MANAGER. She should have said something, anything to show us that she cared about two guests sitting down to an empty bar. So the bartender finally comes back out and she was super sweet and professional. Actually, Bri was the only good part of this entire experience. She was the most professional one within sight. But she clearly had a lot going on and was back and forth from the bar a lot of the time tending to other things. During this meal we saw three managers come and go from behind the bar. Now, I am no expert, but with three managers there they should be doing a little more so the bar tender can stay behind the bar and spend time with guests. Which is in my opinion why most people sit at the bar. But, these managers were all too busy gossiping and laughing with the guy at the end of the bar. The thing that really put me over the top on all of this is the guy who everyone knew worked at this exact restaurant. This was just his day off and he came to sit at the bar and eat there. Now, if you want to do that, its fine. But once your presence there begins to take away from the only two other people at that bar, its annoying and its unprofessional. Three managers came and went to talk to this guy and not one even asked if everything was ok or if we needed anything. I will never be back to this Red Lobster. It has been a long time since I have been to one, but I wouldn't step foot back in this one if they were giving away those delicious, addictive cheese biscuits for life. Well we haven't eaten at this Red Lobster in a year or so due to the fact the food wasn't the best and the dining room seating was so close to others. I have to admit I love the cheddar biscuits. So I had a craving for them and off we went. I see a new paint job and the dining area has been made over..Very nice "kudos" . Our server Terri was fantastic. the cheddar biscuits were good,but not what I remember. So now the disappointing part........ well - the food. I ordered the admiral feast, to whom it may concern how about a name change..I'm thinking from Admiral Feast to " Scalawag Delight" . I just can't envision an Admiral eating such pitiful looking food. On the other hand a Scalawag would have been in seafood heaven. Fine here's the layout....My five or six breaded shrimp were good for an appetizer but that was part of the meal. The scallops, well look at your thumb nail. Got the picture!? Well hold on now,they weren't even that large. About a little over half the nail. The count...Lets see maybe 15. The shoestring clams, speaks for itself. maybe 10 if you put them all together. Last but not least, the fish...two pieces cut in half. The larger of the pieces about as long as your middle finger. I don't believe any hidden message in the fish, but who knows. The size of the fish was despicable. The width of the fish, put your pointing finger and the finger next to each other. You got it. And the thickness just a little thicker than beef jerky. I had gotten mashed potatoes and well we will just move on to the bill. $60.00 including tip My wife ordered the shrimp and lobster pot pie and she was not impressed, neither was the lady who ordered it next to us. The server asked the lady how it was and she told the server she didn't think much of it. The manager came by and ask the lady why she didn't like it and the lady told the manager it didn't have much in it and was not very good. the manager as she was walking away said "well sorry you didn't like it". Just wanted to update my review. bridgett is the worst server i have ever had in any restaraunt. We waited 23 minutes to get our drink order taken and about 7 minutes to get the drinks. It would be different if she was busy and had more than 2 tables. Then she continued to talk crap about our party to the table next to us. Food is a little on the bland side especially for what they are charging. Pre-ordered for pickup and still had to wait 15 minutes at the bar before I was ever even noticed. So after I get my lukewarm food the lady looks at me as if I'm supposed to tip her. Uhh, no I'm not paying anything extra for this type of sub par service. Don't bother going unless you want to waste your time waiting for a table and then be told that it will probably be "at least" an hour to get your food. The manager, if you can call her that, wouldn't even lift a finger to help clear tables. Instead she let customers wait. Tried Red Lobster because we recently moved here and have never tried one in person. The food wasn't bad, but its easy to get better for much lower prices. I had to wait to be seated for twenty minutes in a restaurant that was half empty. The hostess finally showed up and did the "I hate my job and don't care about your time shuffle " to seat me. I started with a bowl of clam chowder which was half full and more of a cup portion. The waitress asked if I wanted crackers which I replied yes, she returned with one pack that looked like they had been stomped on. I ordered the Admirals Feast which was very good except for the shrimp which were ridiculously cold. Service rating is a minus one and the food a three star at best. Hit and miss as always at this location. This was at lunch time and I sincerely believe I could have done better at any fast food restaurant at a third of the cost. read more

VERY GOOD SERVICE! Meal was very good. I got the woodfired shrimp and chicken. It was supposed to be over rice and they forgot it, but the server brought it out to me. She was very nice! The chicken was so moist and juicy, and charred just slightly and had a great wood taste, as well as the shrimp. The rice was so so not the best I ever had. The waitress was so nice that she even asked if we would like drinks togo for the road. The GM also came to our table and asked us how everything was. We celebrated my grandson's birthday at Red Lobster this afternoon. We were there at 1:00 and were seated shortly thereafter (we had called ahead). There were 11 of us in the party. After giving our order to the waitress, we noticed it was taking a long time for our food to come. About an hour later, a waitress came over and told us that the kitchen had just received our order and it would be awhile longer. For some reason, our order had not been transmitted to the kitchen until 27 minutes after it was put in the computer. We were told that it would be made up to us by a discount or coupons. Our food finally arrived at 2:35. After we had received our food and eaten, we were asked if we all wanted free dessert (lol) or a discount. One in our party agreed to a discount, and I asked what the % discount would be. The waitress said it would be up to the manager. When we got the check, there was a 20% discount. A couple of us had a $3 off coupon and the waitress told us that we could not use it because there was already a discount on the check. That did it!!! I personally do not plan to go to this restaurant again, even though it is in my hometown. I feel that we should have received a larger discount because none of this was our fault.
