We ordered a diet coke anna coffee. Brought our drinks quickly and took our order. I had The uncle Walts breaded shrimp, coleslaw and 2 biscuits. The biscuits are always I hit whenever I go. My brother had coconut shrimp, shrimp scampy and uncle Walts breaded shrimp. The second round I had shrimp scampy and my brother had some more uncle walt's breaded shrimp and more shrimp scampy. The service was quick. The food was hot. My only complaint was.I never got a refill on my coffee. I had enough shrimp to last me till next year. Lol The total bill was $30.50 and a 25% tip. Typically we avoid chain restaurants, and prefer to support local, farm-to-table venues. However, we do not have a wide variety of restaurants in our area that offer a diversity of fish and seafood options so Red Lobster is our go-to destination. We have never had a bad meal or experience here. This evening my wife had the Pick 2 option with Walt's Fried Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp which came with rice pilaf. The Walt's shrimp were nice size, cooked perfect and had good flavor. The grilled shrimp were also very good and cooked perfectly. I chose the Fish and Chips which had 2 nice size filets, French fries, Cole slaw and hush puppies. The fish was flaky, good flavor and not over cooked with perfect light batter. Overall we had a good meal for the price. Our server Damien was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was quiet for a Wednesday night, we chose to dine at the bar. I had a very disappointing experience at Red Lobster both in the restaurant while trying to pay for my order and after bringing my order home due to the behavior of Manager Christie. She was aggressively rude and discriminatory towards me without any valid reason. I waited over 40 minutes for my order, and when I got home, it was incorrect. Additionally, while waiting for my order that was already ready and sitting on the counter when I first arrived, the manager continued to yell at me and try to embarrass me in front of other patrons due to me not placing my order in the app or pressing "3" when I called to actually speak to someone to place my order. Who would know that you have to press "3" when the prompts tell you to press a different number to place an order? When I finally got home and noticed my order was not correct, I called the restaurant to report the issue. The manager again continuously yelled at me and even insinuated that I was trying to steal a cheesecake. She stated that I DID have what I stated was missing, which I DID NOT, and I even offered to bring my entire order back to the restaurant to prove this to her. Her continuous gaslighting left me in tears. In this economy, who tries to go to a local restaurant to treat themselves and then gets MISTREATED while placing an order to go??? I did not even eat at the restaurant, and would absolutely never do so or support this establishment moving forward. When I mentioned that I would contact corporate due to feeling discriminated against, she abruptly ended the conversation, stating I could speak to the general manager, and then hung up on me. We arrived at about 930 on a Saturday night. For a red lobster there wasn't much customers, maybe five tables. We were seated and waited 30 minutes for a waiter to take our drink order. I should've left then because it only gets worse. After a long mixup we finally got a waitress she took our drink orders appetizer orders and disappeared. When she comes back she has water and cheddar bay biscuits, they were burned. I ordered a margarita my niece orders a smoothie. We got our appetizers before our drinks even arrive no big deal. I ordered stuffed mushrooms she ordered lobster dip my stuffed mushrooms were awful flavorless and overcooked. The dip was just OK. We make our dinner orders, I order the trio shrimp, and she orders some sort of seafood pasta and a side order of the lobster bisque soup. All of the food was just awful. My Caesar salad that came with my food was wilted and my salad was hot. The soup tasted like pumpkin baby food. My shrimp linguine pasta was overcooked and the shrimp was undercooked. I'm just not sure what happened here. Also the restaurant was dirty trash all on the floor, and they even made my margarita wrong. Always enjoy eating here. The food is what you expect from a chain that has been around for over 40 years. Good service even when they are open on a holiday. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I wanted to try the cheddar bay lobster stuffing and was able to get it as one of my sides with the grilled shrimp and scallops entree. I just wish they would offer the maple barq sauce with it. The broccoli is some of the best you get in restaurants. All was good when I warmed them up the next day. My first time ever at a Red Lobster and we had a good experience! Have been getting ads for "Lobster Fest" which is finally what brought us in - not sure if this is a temporary thing or just a new thing. Husband and I both got the Lobster Lover's Duo which is two tails - one Maine and one Caribbean Rock lobster. I liked both! Also came with choice of sides - I got fries and cole slaw. Fries were hot and crispy on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We shared a Shrimp Cocktail appetizer as well. The 6 shrimp were huge, and in addition to traditional cocktail sauce, it came with a fun Thai chili lime cilantro sauce as well which I enjoyed. Interior/ambiance was nicer than I expected. Nautical/Maine themed but not kitschy. Only thing that raised my eyebrows a little was that the two tails and two sides is about the same price for the same thing at Real Seafood Co. Not sure if that means quality is on par or if this is premium pricing for Red Lobster. Other items appeared to be better value. Oh also the complimentary biscuits!! Lived up to the hype for sure. I grew up eating here in the 80s. It was considered upscale. My son decided to indulge me in a walk down memory lane. He had the Sailor's feast, which was full of deep fried yummies and mashed potatoes. I started with a side salad with bleu cheese. It was pretty good. Our waiter was kind and the food was good. I think feel like there were a lot of giant platters and not a lot of small dishes, who we ended up getting a build your own feast and took the rest home for lunch. I've never had steak, lobster and shrimp for lunch at my home They didn't have a cherry Pepsi, but the waiter was kind and made a special one at the bar. I actually like Red Lobster but my recent visit was interesting. I ordered crab ala cart ( 1/2 lb) with a baked potato as a side. What I received was the crab meal that is about a pound. I mentioned to the waitress I ordered crab ala cart. She said, "yes, this is the crab ala cart meal." What? She admitted I ordered crab ala cart. I just didn't want to be charged the higher meal price. The manager came by and apologized for the mistake and said she can take the extra crab off my plate. Huh? Not off the bill but off my plate. I asked, "surely you aren't going to reuse this crap." She said, "No, we throw it away. But if you keep it on your plate we have to charge you. That is our policy." Huh?! Red Lobster is a chain that has suffered a steep fall in reputation for a few years. Food and service quality sunk... I've been to a few in different cities in the last couple of years and always ask myself why..... But apparently this particular Red Lobster did not get the memo that they are supposed to be a substandard restaurant chain. This Red Lobster delivers the excellent service and nicely prepared entrees that we loved so much once upon a time. We had lobster bisque, shrimp cocktails and lobster tails. All were superb. I was in the mood for crab legs so my husband decided to come here for them. The service was great. The crab legs however were old and rubbery. Maybe it's just me, but when I'd get crab legs from a restaurant normally they come hot and when you go to break a shell it snaps with the meat immediately coming out in one piece. This was cold and I had to bend the shell a few times before the shell broke showing no meat at all. What I got out when I tried to dig it out was flimsy and had no taste whatsoever. A friend and I decided, spur of the moment, to grab some dinner here. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by our entire experience. Karissa was our server and she was fantastic. I'm used to a mango chutney with coconut shrimp, and this was more of a coconut sauce. The shrimp scampi was mounded with shrimp and herbed drawn better - so delicious! The lobster mashed potatoes were hot and creamy with quite a few chunks of lobster. Friend had the skewered shrimp and the scampi and also commented on how fabulous everything was. Then...then we had some out of this world, melt in your mouth, chocolate dessert. Please do not eat at this restaurant. I ordered take out and the pasta was dry as the Sahara, and they tell me that it's extra for extra sauce. We have to pay $20 for a shrimp linguine and then have to pay extra sauce. The nerve of these people and the side salad is no longer free it's $2.49. The manager Bob was no help at all, why would I pay $20 for a meal that wasn't up to par and all her could say was sorry. Yes, I realize it was New Year's Eve, but the cleanliness of this facility left me a little grossed out. I imagine it is hard to keep a place clean when you have all the melted butter, but still. I got a carry out order, and the purses and junk in the pick up area was not very clean (see photo). I waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the carry out window, and that was after asking for assistance from someone who walked through the area twice. It was 6:30 pm, and it was pretty busy. My food came right out. It was ready when they said it would be. It is nice that you can call in your carry out order, or you can place the order on line. I called, as I like to be able to ask questions. As for the food, it is fine. Nothing to brag about, but not fishy or bad. I had the ultimate feast, and everything was ok. The crab legs are pretty small, but you do get a lot of food (1/2 a lobster tail, shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, cole slaw or salad, baked potato, and biscuits). I go regularly to this Red Lobster, and particularly like their Lobster Linguine, a $29 item but worth it. It has clumps of lobster claw meat and a large portion. Side salad $2.50, complimentary excellent hot ceddar bisquits ( they go fast). Server Carter takes excellent care of us, remembers our drink preferences as soon as he sees us. Ok, so I know Red Lobster is a chain...a nation-wide chain...a humongous chain...but after watching their TV commercials showing great looking shrimp bouncing out of the frying pan, I was Jonesing for a little shrimp action. I was disappointed right from the start when the hostess kept us waiting for a table for much too long for a slow time of the day around 3:30 pm on a Sunday afternoon when there were plenty of open tables. Strike one! Once seated, the service improved dramatically. We ordered a Lobster and Langostino Pizza as an app and it was delish! While my wife ordered the Lobster Tacos (only rated so-so), I followed those TV commercials and nailed the combo of the Garlic Shrimp Scampi with the Wood-fired Tilapia filet complete w/ a buttered-up baked potato. It was over the moon with crazy rich and delicious flavors and generous in portion size. This visit to the Red Crustacean on Carpenter clearly had its ups and downs. We only got three of the "complimentary unlimited" biscuits, waitress never brought more for us. Our waitress was more worried about her empty tables than the tables that actually had people. Saw her a total of four times. My margarita was so watered down and not good at all. I got the snow crab legs that were supposed to be a pound and I got about a half of a pound. The spotty service and families with screaming children are the biggest turn off. Inevitably, some new enticing menu item has me braving the excepted short-comings with a little help from the aforementioned wine list. On this visit, it was my father's choice, as it was his Father's Day lunch. He wanted a bowl of Clam Chowder and biscuts. We ordered two soups, two sodas and an appetizer to share. The service was friendly but a little forgetful. Her personality made up for it. Dad liked his chowder but my lobster bisque was way too salty. Wow. A lot to unpack in this one. I literally thought I was on one of those "what would you do" episodes... I would like to start by saying the manager at this restaurant, Carrie C, should be fired. She is extremely rude, and was yelling at her staff right in front of my table. She was not only rude to her staff, but extremely rude to me and my boyfriend. Not only that, but due to her poor management, a server was getting cussed out at another table for how horrible her experience was (even though it was not the servers fault, she was very sweet) and the manager did nothing to support her. There were about only 7 tables in the whole restaurant, so it's not like they were busy. After over 20 minutes of sitting with no water I went to the bar and got my boyfriend and I water and sat back down. I should have left right then and there, but we came 30 minutes there to have a nice date night, so we thought we could stick it out. The food took exactly an hour to come out, and at that point I asked for the manager. She came and blamed the staff, and I told her "this is the worst dining experience I have ever had, I am flabbergasted! You are yelling and arguing with your staff right in front of the tables, food is taking an hour to be made even though no one is here, and your servers are getting cussed out at other tables for the whole restaurant to hear because they are also having a terrible experience... and you won't help her? She walked away and didn't even offer to discount our bill, a free dessert, NOTHING. Finally when we got the bill, it was full price. I was shocked. I then told her that was unacceptable and she said "fine I'll fix it" and gave us the NASTIEST look. It was so horrible. The poor waitress was telling her we deserved much more off, but she told her to stop. I have never been more confused. We came at 7:00, left at 8:50... Decided to walk over to Red Lobster since it was across the street from my hotel. I called in for a to-go order and was told it would be 20 minutes. I waited about 30 minutes to head over, and my food wasn't ready yet. After waiting nearly 20 additional minutes (now almost an hour for a "20 minute" wait), my food was ready. I ordered the shrimp your way with garlic shrimp scampi and fried shrimp. It was pretty standard for the chain; however, it was barely warm... leading me to believe it had been ready for awhile as I was sitting there. Additionally, this was at 8 PM at night... not a time when a huge crowd is craving seafood. Needless to say, there's a Bob Evan's on the other side of the hotel that will have my business next time. read more

We recently came here to eat for my birthday....it was the first restaurant we've dined at in a while since the start of the pandemic. I felt very safe with the distancing and everyone masked, inside looked immaculate and clean. We got decent service, but did not get offered any more biscuits or anything special for my birthday. This place isn't what it use to be. I ordered the fried catfish dinner I wasn't all that hungry. Which came with 2 sides I got rice pilaf & a Caesar salad. She brought the Caesar out right away. The lettuce was iceberg which seemed to be straight out of a bag. Why are we using iceberg lettuce for a Caesar salad? My boyfriends appetizer was pretty tasty. A little salty but overall was pretty good. My fried catfish was really good! That's pretty much the only thing I ate. The rice pilaf wasn't good at all. I think they changed the recipe because it never tasted like this before. I won't be returning to this place. The food isn't as good as it use to be. Do better Red Lobster! read more

Came here as my son saw the commercial for "Endless Shrimp" and declared that he wanted to partake in some shrimp gluttony. I've been to other restaurants that promote "all you care to eat" and it often ends up waiting so long that it is just 1-2 plates of food. However, this Red Lobster, even when quite busy after a game day, was quick to seat a party of 7 without any reservation, and then proved the "endless" part of the deal. The server came back multiple times to help us reorder, and when one person ordered a specific shrimp dish, he brought an extra dish so the rest of the table could sample. Overall it was the perfect service! In terms of the food, a few highlights of the shrimp options were the newer options (crunchy fiesta and sesame-ginger grilled), which added some different flavor profiles than the typical "fried or garlic scampi" options. Definite must-go if you are a shrimp fanatic! For the rest of us, it's definitely a great meal, although you may want a little shrimp detox afterwards :) read more

Food snobs feel free to skip this one.... I am not a huge fan of Red Lobster normally. We had gone to a Yelp event though that was very nice indeed and it made me reconsider a bit. I tried a return visit that was an utter disaster and suddenly was again not a particular fan. My mother is a fan. A firm fan. As is my pops. It was Mother's Day and well hello I am not a mother, she is, so it was her pick. I had a forty dollar gift card burning a hole in my pocket and a couple of free app coupons still in my purse from the Yelp event. Sadly the Yelp event was so long ago I am now shamefaced that I apparently never clean out my purse. At any rate, I mustered some enthusiasm. I figured even if it sucked, it wouldn't put my finances back by much. My dad called ahead to make sure we could get a table. Between my mother's insulin schedule and her Meniere's anti dizziness and anti nausea pills it can be a delicate balance. Add in Dad on a cane and yeah we cannot be milling around for an hour or anything. He felt like we could not go after the first call did not offer a whit of a guarantee of seating. I called back and after a very pleasant chat with a manager all was straightened out. We just had to show up as soon as they opened and it would be fine. Lesson learned, I cannot have my dad make any simple inquiries. It's not his age, trust me. He is sweet but not really clear. We arrived and yep all was well. In fact we hit the happiness jackpot. A nice roomy table and the stellar server named Heath. Heath is awesome. Friendly, fun, helpful, patient and on the freaking ball. A good server can make or break you and Heath is a shiny five star guy wasted on a chain. IMO this man should be making much bigger bucks in a tony establishment. His pacing was perfect, he knew the food and he took any curve balls we threw at him in stride. You can tell he enjoys his job, a rare occurrence in my vast dining experience. He made my mom feel all special and kept us all smiling. I cannot praise him enough. They need to use him to train the rest of the staff for sure. One thing I will start with, they have diet raspberry lemonade here and it is really tasty. This also means my mom who cannot consume too much sugar and absolutely no caffeine could have a drink that was not water. For her this is a rare treat when dining away from home. Unless a place has diet lemonade or Sprite Zero or some such she is resigned to jazzing water up with a couple of lemons. The food was surprisingly nice. We got some calamari and veggies as well as some coconut shrimp. You cannot go wrong with the coconut shrimp, that sauce is perfect. The calamari was ok but I liked the fried broccoli and peppers way more personally. The crack biscuits were of course artery clogging delights. My Caesar salad came on iceberg which was not good at all but that was really the only misstep and I assume they were just out of romaine or hadn't prepped it (we were first to dine). My parents and husband seemed pleased with their salads but I just hate iceberg, it is why I order Caesar. We all ended up with the bargathon seafood trios they currently have on offer. You choose one pasta type, select one shrimp specialty and pick one grilled item. My father and I had the baked lobster pasta, my husband and mom went with the Cajun shrimp linguini. Both were decent enough. My dad, my husband and I had the brown butter shrimp scampi with lots of garlic and tomatoes. Very happy indeed, better than the regular shrimp scampi for sure. My husband got a grilled shrimp skewer over wild rice he liked but the rest of us opted for the grilled soy ginger salmon. Oh man, that was easily the best thing going. It was topped with a pineapple salsa that paired with the glaze perfectly. A hulking piece that was perfectly cooked, a total bargain. I would definitely return if I could sit in Heath's section and have one of those Malibu bay breezes I liked at the Red Lobster Gets Reel event.
