    Seafood pasta

We arrived at about 930 on a Saturday night. For a red lobster there wasn't much customers, maybe five tables. We were seated and waited 30 minutes for a waiter to take our drink order. I should've left then because it only gets worse. After a long mixup we finally got a waitress she took our drink orders appetizer orders and disappeared. When she comes back she has water and cheddar bay biscuits, they were burned. I ordered a margarita my niece orders a smoothie. We got our appetizers before our drinks even arrive no big deal. I ordered stuffed mushrooms she ordered lobster dip my stuffed mushrooms were awful flavorless and overcooked. The dip was just OK. We make our dinner orders, I order the trio shrimp, and she orders some sort of seafood pasta and a side order of the lobster bisque soup. All of the food was just awful. My Caesar salad that came with my food was wilted and my salad was hot. The soup tasted like pumpkin baby food. My shrimp linguine pasta was overcooked and the shrimp was undercooked. I'm just not sure what happened here. Also the restaurant was dirty trash all on the floor, and they even made my margarita wrong. I'm not sure how a restaurant can operate like this but the customers deserve better. I must also note that I paid extra money for asparagus that was burned on the tips.

Always enjoy eating here. The food is what you expect from a chain that has been around for over 40 years. Good service even when they are open on a holiday. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. I wanted to try the cheddar bay lobster stuffing and was able to get it as one of my sides with the grilled shrimp and scallops entree. I just wish they would offer the maple barq sauce with it. The broccoli is some of the best you get in restaurants. All was good when I warmed them up the next day. It was so quiet when I was there, but U of M was in the Rose Bowl during this time so the whole town seemed like a ghost town. Look forward to having a reason to come back.

My first time ever at a Red Lobster and we had a good experience! Have been getting ads for "Lobster Fest" which is finally what brought us in - not sure if this is a temporary thing or just a new thing. Husband and I both got the Lobster Lover's Duo which is two tails - one Maine and one Caribbean Rock lobster. I liked both! Also came with choice of sides - I got fries and cole slaw. Fries were hot and crispy on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We shared a Shrimp Cocktail appetizer as well. The 6 shrimp were huge, and in addition to traditional cocktail sauce, it came with a fun Thai chili lime cilantro sauce as well which I enjoyed. Interior/ambiance was nicer than I expected. Nautical/Maine themed but not kitschy. Only thing that raised my eyebrows a little was that the two tails and two sides is about the same price for the same thing at Real Seafood Co. Not sure if that means quality is on par or if this is premium pricing for Red Lobster. Other items appeared to be better value. Oh also the complimentary biscuits!! Lived up to the hype for sure. Super good, and served hot. Way softer than normal biscuits.

I grew up eating here in the 80s. It was considered upscale. My son decided to indulge me in a walk down memory lane. He had the Sailor's feast, which was full of deep fried yummies and mashed potatoes. I started with a side salad with bleu cheese. It was pretty good. Of course, we had a few baskets of the cheddar biscuits which were amazing. I followed up with steamed crab and a loaded baked potato. Solid comfort food meal. I may return with the other son.

It's been some time since I've visited this location. My son is at U of M (Go Blue!) I hadn't seen him since Christmas. We decided to go here for lunch to catch up. The service and food was excellent.

It gave us one of the most memorable evenings we have ever had at any restaurant. We were seated immediately at what felt like the best table in the house, with the best view. The manager greeted us personally, and we were treated to complimentary drinks and appetizers. Waiting at our table were handwritten cards recognizing that we were celebrating our anniversary, my wife's birthday, and the recent news that we are expecting our first child. Every gesture felt thoughtful and personal. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. We were guided through the menu with genuine care, and each dish arrived at exactly the right time--never rushed, never delayed. We began with the cornbread, fried chicken, and eggplant. My wife said the fried chicken was the best she had ever eaten. The eggplant, served with tomato jam, candied nuts, and herbs, was the evening's biggest surprise and my favorite dish. The cornbread struck the perfect balance between savory and sweet and came with cultured butter good enough to bathe in. My wife had the red snapper and declared it the best fish she had ever eaten. She could not stop talking about it. I had the mussels with gnocchi. It was not the best gnocchi I have ever had, but it was still very, very good. Ultimately, though, what made the night so special was not any single dish. It was the service and care. After our first visit, the manager reached out, took responsibility, and invited us to return. We came back because of that response, and the entire team followed through on its promise in every respect. The service and care we received were the best my wife and I have experienced at any restaurant. That is hospitality in its fullest sense, and we are deeply grateful. We will absolutely return the next time we are in Ann Arbor, and we would now recommend The Dixboro Project without hesitation to anyone in the area.

From the gardens to the land with a creek flowing though it -- to the beautiful building and pleasing decor inside and a porch with tables around much of it. So impressed. The menu, our server explained, is changed out quarterly and this is the new summer one. So many unique small and large plates (but when he described them, they were way more intricate and enticing than the menu even showed). He was attentive and helped guide our choices. We ordered the eggplant small plate to share, then the mushroom pizza (so much tastier than the description would indicate), and the wild boar brat with cherry and peach accents. Everything was delicious. I also got an iced latte with the house made mocha and it was better than alcohol, if you're a coffee lover anyway. 100% plan to come back! And likely soon. This is up there with how I feel about Sylvan Table, which is a huge compliment to Dixboro Project!

My first visit was for brunch, and it completely won me over. The buffet had a wonderful variety of food, the mimosas and cocktails were delicious, and for the quality, variety, and service you get, the price point is very fair. I left thoroughly impressed. I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.

Service was excellent and attentive! I enjoyed the bread service, roadhouse simple salad, French fries, chicken basket with cole slaw and mashed potatoes, and a strawberry specialty cocktail. The breading on the fried chicken was perfection, and the bread AS ALWAYS was delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy were probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Absolutely holiday home style with great texture. Downsides: too many assorted flying insects on the patio, the pimiento cheese was nearly flavorless, fries were underdone for my liking, and pricing too high and portions too small for the chicken basket.

The food was great 17 years ago when I got three meats and two sides for $11:99 or add Mac n cheese for $15.99. Now at $32 with tip and just water, the smoked bbq pulled beef sandwich was just ok, not a big portion by any means and they do not leave the sauces so whatever is on your sandwich is it. The entree came with fries small portion and a Cole slaw. At these prices, I think, I am done with the roadhouse.
