Let me start off by saying, the food, and drinks, along with the service was very good. I have posted photos. Unfortunately, if you don't want to be totally grossed out and lose your appetite, bring your own silverware! I also enclosed a photo of the fork with food still on it. But every single piece of silverware was disgusting. Seriously disgusting. It is astonishing that a place would take such care on creating a beautiful plate of food and give you disgusting silverware to eat with! There is no excuse on giving people dirty silverware. All of them that were wrapped in cloth napkins we unrolled a few every single one of them we're dirty. I took some of my water and used my napkin to wash my silverware so I could eat my food. Again the food was delightful service was delightful I find it extremely unfortunate that the company can not invest in a dishwasher that will actually clean their dishes! read more

Last night for my birthday. My mom took me here. We walked in just us two. Two other groups of two where there before us. There where 3 ladies working the podium. They called 3 groups of two no one walked to them. We waited. Then finally two groups of the people called walked in. They went to be seated. A gentleman with his girl walked in and tried to be seated. When no one claimed the name. They took him. Then 3 more groups of 2 walked in and was seated. It was rude to do that to me and my mom. However when we where seated. Our waiter was awesome she was nice and friendly. Shout out to Emily, thank you for making the night better. read more

I used to love coming here. I love their crab pasta, cheddar-bay biscuits, caesar salads, and coconut shrimp. The food has always been good when I go, and its a chain, so you know what you're getting. I have come to this location several times, with always great service. I don't think I'll ever go back after what happened to me last time I went. I went with a girlfriend for dinner. After I got home I realized I left my sunglasses on the table. I called my friend to ask if I had left them in her car, she checked and said no, and then remembered that she saw them on the table as we were leaving, but thought I grabbed them. I called the restaurant right away to tell them I left my glasses there, they said that there were no glasses there. They told me they cleaned the table up right after we left and there wasn't anything left. So basically someone that works at this location is a thief. Very disappointed. They were my favorite glasses. Keep a close eye on your things as there is a thief on the staff, or better yet, don't go. read more

We went to red lobster the other day because I had a gift card. Our favorite part were the cheddar bay rolls but after one the flavor was a bit much. We also got the shrimp tacos and the fish and chips. The shrimp tacos were spicy and everything fell out of the little shell. And the fish and chips tasted like fish and chips, nothing impressive. The weird thing was that the tartar sauce seemed a bit sweet. Overall it was what we had expected coming in. Food but nothing special. read more

Nice seafood restaurant. I love them all together . I mostly order my favorite crab dishes all the time . The quality of the food is really good. I am definitely surprised by the amount of food they serve . The price is little towards high end but the amount is huge and every thing is freshly made . I love their scones . The crab Alfredo here was terrible. We have eaten at other Red Lobsters and it was never this bad. It had an after taste that reminded me of chemicals. They did however take this off our bill when we pointed it out to our waitress. Our lobster artichoke dip was also luke warm when it arrived. We asked for cheese on our salad and got a few shreds. The service here was good and the salmon was also good. Not sure if I will be coming back. read more

Since i am allergic to seafood, this is a non-seafood review.. First off,i got to get this off my chest: The biscuits are the greatest ever (I'm sure if you have had red lobster before you already know this) and the fact that they are bottomless makes the trip to red lobster worth it in itself. Also, the Caesar side salad here is the greatest side salad ever, it is literally that deal. Now when i came here for my meal, i first have to have me lobsterita (please don't judge me), it is huge (big enough for 2-3 people), sweet, strong, and freakin great. Now for my meal i choose the 4 course menu, which was soup (didn't eat it, so can't say yay or nay to that), Caesar salad, my entree (which was Cajun chicken linguine, which is very very very good, and big, and i personally prefer My's with the marinara sauce rather than the linguine sauce) and a brownie Ala mode (normally not a big dessert person, but oh my lord was this good) for dessert. This year, for my birthday, I chose Red Lobster. I don't go here often, usually only special occasions because they are quite expensive. Now I don't mind paying for a genuinely good meal. However, the last time we went, and this time, the food was definitely not worth what we paid for it. I ordered, both times, the crab Alfredo. Now, one thing I can say is that you get a lot. It's a huge plate and the plate comes as full as it can possibly be. Now, I know that things happen and food can be off sometimes, and that's why I didn't review the last time I came. However, beings that both the times I went were off, I decided to let others know my experience. The crab Alfredo was overflowing with so much butter I couldn't eat it. This was both trips, by the way. I will not be going to Red Lobster anytime soon, and if I were to ever go back, I would never order the crab Alfredo. My bf and I go here for special occasions. Each time the wait time seems to get longer and longer. My last visit was a few days ago for my birthday. Not only was it chaos in the front end, I had to go follow up with the hostess and it was 15 min after then told me I would be sat. The manager seemed to be the only one having some what of a clue and she was off not even speaking with guests. I was really disappointed in my meal as well. This restaurant needs some major improving. To top if off, at the end, 2 waiters stopped right in front of our table to talk about other guests and how the waitresses were annoyed that they had been sat these guests. Atmosphere is needing some work. You can tell it's an older Red Lobster that's been around for a while. Seems to need some renovations on the inside as it just doesn't feel that clean even though it could have just been cleaned. Other than that, the service is average. I don't eat hear except for when they are having their Endless Shrimp. It's going on now and I will say it's nice they give you 3 choices upfront this year instead of 2. I love the coconut shrimp bites...it keeps me going back every year. It's the only one in this area though so better than driving further away...it is doable. read more

Tonight was a better than great experience. When I walked in I was immediately greeted, and taken to a table without wait. My waitress named Olga was very friendly and very helpful throughout the night making sure I was satisfied, not one point thought the night was my glass empty nor was there a lack of a great attitude from my server. I decided to get Olga's recommendation of the endless shrimp, which I am not disappointed with, all and all I would definitely go back. Olga's customer service is just too good!!!! read more

I have been to red lobster twice now. Both the times they had the special 4 course deal - soup, salad, entree and dessert deal for a certain time. Both the times, I really liked the food and the service. The portions are really big, the food tastes fresh and both times the people waiting our table were very attentive. I usually order a chicken dish with shrimp and have become a fan. The chicken is juicy and succulent and cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the pasta with chicken and he really liked his dish as well. I usually can't finish the entire entree because by the time I am done eating the soup, salad and 3/4 th of the entree I am very full. For dessert I usually get their chocolate brownie with the vanilla ice cream and it is delicious! The blob of ice cream is placed precariously on top of the warm brownie and topped off with chocolate fudge. I like the casual vibe of the restaurant and the efficiency with which they seat people. The seating is not too cramped so you can have good conversations with people without wondering if the people sitting at the table next to you can hear you. read more

I went to Red Lobster for dinner a few nights ago and was pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and ambiance! We were seated immediately and the waitress was really good! She kept up the water and garlic biscuits without us asking and she earned that fourth star. I had the Admiral's Feast, which is a LOT of food but I split it in half and had the rest for lunch the next day. The salad, though uncomplicated was fresh and tasty. The food was served promptly and there was no lag in the courses. I was very pleased all around by this chain. I'll be back. read more

My fiance's rock lobster was a bit over cooked, made obvious by the dark char on top. Our waiter was very prompt in seeing what could be done about it, when we inquired whether this is how it is normally cooked. He spoke to the manager and her order was discounted more than we imagined. I don't know what's happened to you Red Lobster. I remember loving this place while growing up (especially their bread). I went today and the taste of the food was below average - the bread was still tasty though. Perhaps it was an off day, but my latest visit tarnished my memories of this place. If you read my last post on the alfredo fiasco, I would just like to report that I received a lovely letter from Red Lobster Corporate offices. I believe their quote was, "$8 for a pint of alfredo, maybe at our time square location. We apologize for your inconvenience and here is $20 in gift certificates." We've typically gone to this red lobster in the past (my family will take trips to Romulus once a year, and this was one of our two dinners during a two night stay.) This time around however, we were completely blocked by service on every step of the way. We were a party of 8 on a Friday night which typically isn't a tall order to seat, especially at 8:45 after the main rush. We were first told by a bus boy that we weren't allowed to sit at one of the tables in the bar because of a "Fire hazard" excuse that I've never heard of before in my life. This would not have been an issue had the busser asked us to simply get up and explain the problem instead of just demanding we get up. The managers attempt to placate us was to try and divide our group into two separate booths to seat us quicker. We choose to stand as there's not point in visiting family if we're going to be divided into two groups. After 45 minutes of holding our buzzer and watching as group after group got sat before we did, we finally confronted the manager again about the status of our table, and were told "Oh, just 5 more minutes." Ten minutes later we were still standing in the bar watching other large groups get sat before us just by walking in. Again we talked to the manager. Again we were told 5 minutes. When we asked "Why can't you just put two tables together?" we were given the same "Fire hazard" excuse. We had a server actually come up to us a few times and say "I think you're gonna be my table!" and try to talk to us. Even then however, he kept giving us the 5 minute excuse. He did eventually come up to us however and say "Alright, my table is just leaving we just need to clear the table for you" Ten minutes later, having been waiting to be sat for well over an hour at this point we gave the ultimatum of "If we aren't sat in literally 5 minutes, we're leaving." The manager, therefore, said Alright, I'll see what I can do" and simply walked into the little room beside the host stand and just stood there doing absolutely nothing It's quite apparent now that the management at this place is near the bottom of ANY restaurant I've ever been to. Not once were we even offered something like "Hey, sorry you're waiting, how about some of our free biscuits while you wait?" just as maybe a bit of a "We're sorry" or even just "We do value you as customers". Instead we wound up walking away starving, having wasted a night of our trip. I can't complain about the food, but at this point that's literally because I never got food to even complain about. read more

Food was as you would expect from any Red Lobster but the service wasn't good at all. We arrived at this location about 4PM on a Tuesday afternoon and there were not many customers, so you would expect good service, right? Wrong! The service was exceptionally slow! My cloth napkin with the silverware wrapped inside had gross food stains on it. I asked for another set of silverware with napkin and it took a few minutes to get a replacement. My wife wanted some extra sauce for her shrimp three times because the servers kept forgetting it. We had to wait a long time to get our check. All this happened during a time when there were not many customers so I can't give this place any better than an average rating. read more

Last night I decided to dine at Red Lobster. As a kid I always had fond memories of the place. Unfortunately last night destroyed all of that. I was staying close by at a hotel and decided to walk over. The hostess arbitrarily decided to seat me at a place of her choice even though I questioned her choice. I was wearing a hoodie since it was cold outside, and I look fairly young so she instantly judge me. Two faired skinned couples who arrived after me were seated before me in the nicer better lit areas while I waited for my darkly lit table. I followed them to be seated and watched as they were served before My "arbitrarily chosen table" was cleaned. The restaurant was not full at all. So I asked the hostess why she sat the people over there and made me wait? She said "because I chose to sit you here" I was upset at the insensitivity and it was clear. The waitress poor lady kept smiling at me but I was too upset. She must have called the manager who stopped by but was too upset to talk to him at the time. Ordered my food and sat quietly and ate. When my dinner was done the waitress who kept smiling got a smile in return. Her service was great and in no way reflected the previous actions. I asked for the manager told him what occurred and ask him what he thought? He asked me if I wanted cake? He said he related to it ( i honestly think he got the gist of it but as a white male doubt he will ever truly understand) as he compared it to wearing his team's jersey to a bar full of the rival teams fans! Yes pretty incredible. I only wanted him to be aware that things like this in America today are unacceptable. He felt bad and apologized again. I paid by bill and left a twenty one percent tip plus the extra 25% he took off without asking which all went to the waitress. This was totally insensitive but was it racial? We whom have worked at one point or another in the service industry know that servers hate serving young dark skinned people wearing hoodies because there is a preconceived notion they will tip badly... So was it racist? Even in a subconscious way? read more

First of all you can't get into any Red Lobster on the weekend between 6 and 8. I will not wait 2 hours to get a damn table.After a year of trying to get in. We went on a Saturday about 5. Beat all the crowd YEAH. Service was sub par. Employees chatting with each other while we, the only couple waiting for a table stood waiting. I frequent Red Lobster quite a few times a year. Usually, always with a coupon :-) You can get them sent directly to your email. The prices are reasonable to me as I don't eat the higher end seafood. I'm allergic to shellfish. My staple there was the traditional fried catfish. Then they introduced the Chef's fresh fish special and I fell in love. The grilled tilapia and salmon is the best! And the baked potato with the sea salt encrusted skin I love! I remember long ago at this Red Lobster there use to be long waits. It kind of turned you off. However, here now usually I don't have to wait or the wait is estimated at 10-15 minutes and usually you are buzzed before then. The restaurant could use some updating to me as some of it looks dated. I would suggest more light or brighter panels and colors. Also they need to do something better with the bar area. Make it brighter, open it up so that it will be place that is seen as a place to be! The servers here are usually people that have been working there for very long times. I know one of the servers there has been there for at least 5-10 years I'm estimating. Having knowledgeable servers helps the dining experience. I really like that aspect. For some reason I had a not-so-good impression of this chain, and avoided it even though there is a Red Lobster in my neighborhood. We decided to try it, and I was pleasantly surprised. I am a Weight Watcher and need to carefully plan my meals. The 'lighthouse' portion of the menu is very helpful in making light menu choices--there are HUGE discrepancies in the calorie and fat content for different menu items, so you have to be careful. For 12 weight watchers points, I had 1/2 a rainbow trout, the roasted vegetable medley (substituted for the usual broccoli), a salad with a small amount of dressing, and (the indulgence) one of the cheddar bay biscuits, which are really worth the 4 points (but very tempting to have more). Everything was fresh tasting and delicious. The place was crowded on a Saturday evening, but service was efficient. Parking was plentiful. I didn't notice any of the cleanliness issues mentioned by others, and I saw them carefully wipe down the table with disinfectant spray before serving new customers. I heard a mom and her young daughter complain to the host staff about the need to clean the bathroom--I didn't notice the issue they did, and I have the impression the they were handling the concern quickly. Crayons, a special menu, and word puzzle type items are available for kids. The live lobster in the waiting area is a youthful attraction/distraction. I would go again! read more

This is an example when people really care and deliver an outstanding experience. The GM Sandy Short and server Heather made this so special! My mother was celebrating her "90" birthday and loves Red Lobster. Her favorite food in the world is fresh swordfish. Well Red Lobster famous for fresh fish did not disappoint. We had a party of 9 and on short notice they were able to accommodate us. Sandy's approach was "We Can Do That!" Everyone's food and service was excellent. This was an experience we will never forget - Thanks again Red Lobster - we will be back and will be telling all our friends. read more
