We came for dinner on a Monday, and a little early, so we sat at a booth in the bar and glad we did! The service was spot on. The menus were new and the placed was super clean. So their new menu (1st day for it) was great. I got the crab and shrimp linguini and my wife got the salmon. We both got a salad as a side. I love the chilled bowls and the salad mix! Both dinners were spot on!! I really like that the manager was very present, and checking on everybody. As a former restaurant manager, I feel it contributes itself to a very nice environment, as she was very interested to hear how we were doing with our experience at her restaurant. This place ROCKS!!! Not as in rock lobster, but their food is amazing and their service is outstanding. Their prices are very decent and every time I come here I am consistently pleased. The property is clean and very well taken care of. We sat in the fairly empty bar area and were served by the bartender/waiter named Ryan. A very amicable and pleasant man. We visited Red Lobster tonight and we were extremely impressed. I am on a no salt diet and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. We brought in our own unsalted butter which they heated up for us when our food was ready. They spent the time to go over everything we ordered and made sure to give me broccoli without butter, baked potato without salt and they checked with the chef on some of the other things I ordered. Then since I couldn't eat additional shrimp dishes they let me just add my individual items to my husband's bill. They were really wonderful to work with and didn't make us feel bad about being so picky. We will definitely be going back! read more

I love to come in during all you can eat shrimp. Its like a holiday for me honestly. I cannot get enough of the shrimp scampi. The sauce is always on point and the shrimp are cooked perfectly. This last time we came in we sat in the dining room and Mellanie was our server. She was attentive, friendly and quick with the shrimp refills. I think my only complaint is that they changed it from getting a salad and a side with your dinner and now the salad is considered your side. Having not been to a Red Lobster in several years, we took a drive to come visit. Showing up right at 5, they were somewhat busy already. We were seated and then waited awhile to be greeted. One waiter came by and said he'd be back. Then another waiter came by to say hi on his way to another table. He came back a bit later with biscuits and said he'd be back. By the time he showed up again, we were beyond ready to order. We got our drinks and more biscuits, so that held us over until the food showed up. My daughter and I determined we'd split the ultimate feast and the Parmesan chicken. The feast has SO much food. My daughter liked the Walt's fried shrimp the best, followed by the lobster, which we both agreed was just ok. I really enjoyed the garlic shrimp scampi. Crab legs were a lot of work without much crab, which really should be the slogan for crab legs anywhere. Chicken was good, even though you can't get the sauce without tomatoes. We did get the sauce on the side. Hush puppies were good, and the biscuits are still the best. My daughter liked her mashed potatoes. Service here was weird. They weren't slammed, and yet, everyone was running around like crazy as if they were. Nobody particularly seemed to be happy either. And yet, even though they were running like crazy, we waited a long time pretty much throughout. Not sure if they were understaffed or what. Just kind of strange. Once in a blue moon I get a real craving for some red lobster. I truly have this nostalgic bond with the cheddar bay cheese biscuits & all the fried shrimp goodness. In our recent visit we got the lobster dip, it was pretty good. It was just a bit salty for my taste. For our mains we ordered the shrimp three ways. I of course ordered all my shrimp fried - Walt's, coconut, & dragon shrimp. They were piping hot & fried to perfection. I also asked for a side of their jalapeño ranch, a great addition to dip my fried shrimp in. This location is always clean & tidy. It's a bit more busier, probably given the location & one of not so many seafood options in the area. The service is great here, the wait staff are attentive & multiple check ins from the management themselves. We ordered the lobster flatbread and it was also very very tasty. I don't like seafood like that but I very much enjoyed it. I really wanted to try the seafood boils but maybe next time! Our waiter was amazing. I can't remember his name which upsets me but he definitely was one of the most attentive, friendly, and polite waiters ever! Went here for date night on a Monday night. We were seated quickly but the manager told us they were busier than expected. We were told that they had sent staff home because they'd been so slow but then they got busy. Our server Rihanna was very attentive but seemed stressed and was very busy. She was both waiting tables and tending bar. The food was delicious! I got the Bar Harbor Bake and my husband got a New York Strip steak that was cooked perfectly medium rare. We split the mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. And we got Meyer Lemon Cake and Brownie Overboard to take home. My frozen peach margarita was extremely disappointing but my husband's Bahama Mama was delicious. We did have several negative takeaways though. We could hear the kitchen staff arguing with the servers through the door to the kitchen and the servers were also complaining about various things and making loud annoyed noises while in the kitchen area. Also, Rihanna had two women get seated at the bar and she told them "I'll be with you when I can." After 10-15 minutes without service (not even a drink order) the women walked out frustrated. The lemon cake we took home was missing the sauces/garnish advertised on the menu and the ice cream for the brownies was one little scoop for a large serving of brownies. In the past, I have eaten at Red Lobster for my birthday. I haven't done so since we moved to Colorado six years ago. I'm not sure why, but I do now. I'm glad that I received gift cards for my birthday because the food was cooked poorly and I would have been highly upset at myself for spending that much money for poor tasting food. The Maine lobster tails were rubbery and hard to eat. The shrimp in the shrimp scampi still had the tails on them making it hard to eat. The shrimp also tasted undercooked. The stuffed mushrooms were mushy, and the steamed broccoli was hard. The best part about the meal was the baked potato, but that could have been because I put my own butter, sour cream and shredded cheese on it. It was carry-out, so no service was needed but I tipped anyway. Overall, I was very disappointed and can see why the majority of restaurants went out of business. Of the Red Lobsters in Aurora, Southlands is by far the most clean and comfortable. Mom and I enjoyed the $5 Watermelon Martini and the $20 endless shrimp. The scampi is the best in flavor and size (who wouldn't like all that lemon butter goodness?). The side of pineapple sauce is very complimentary to the coconut shrimp and super delish (tasted like a dessert). The menu specials are reasonable priced and our waiter was uber friendly! Their signature biscuits are always so dry but so good; it's bizarre. The strawberry lemonade slapped, but I had a sip of my dad's peach smoothie and it BANGED. Definitely getting that next time we come here. The calamari was awesome, especially with the sauces. Ordered the crab linguini alfredo. It was pretty good. I mean, didn't blow my mind or anything, but good nonetheless. One criticism I do have is that the crab meat - aside from a few nice hearty pieces - honestly looked kinda mushed-up, which was unappetizing to look at, but it tasted fine. My parents ordered the baja shrimp bowl and enjoyed it. The Brownie Overload was really good, but very inconvenient to eat. Just really awkward, really difficult to cut through the brownie and ice cream since it wasn't in a bowl or anything, and really inconvenient that everyone had to reach to the center of the table to eat it. Tonight me and my partner decided to go grab some dinner at red lobster, we used to eat at the lone tree location at least 2 or 3 times a month, so we are no stranger to what they have to offer. To start, the host was extremely rude but we just brushed it off, we both work in customer service type jobs so we understand how a long day starts to affect the way you act. We sit down, our server keeps going to the table behind us and taking care of them, no big deal she's busy. 20 minutes pass and nothing until we wave someone down and kindly ask if they were our server or if someone else was, he was very kind and said he would go grab her for us. She apologizes for the wait and we order drinks, another 15 minutes before our drinks come out, but only my drink, my partners didn't come out for another 5 minutes. She disappears, comes back after a while and asks if we want appetizers, we order mozzarella sticks, and clam chowder soup, we ask for some biscuits, you can't go to red lobster without the biscuits. We are here for an hour at this point, we get our appetizers, we try to order but she basically runs away from us, we wave her down and ask if we can have plates for our bread and mozzarella sticks, at this point we are getting antsy and frustrated from how much she keeps dodging us. I don't know about you, but if i'm about to drop close to 150 dollars on dinner, I don't want to eat my bread or cheese sticks off of a napkin. We get plates, cold and wet and definitely not clean, we just push them to the side and settle for our napkin plates. Another 15 minutes go by, we haven't seen her. We wave someone down and ask for a manager, turns out he was the manager, he was extremely kind and understanding, we tell him what's been going on and he tells us he's going to find her right away and get our order. She comes back and here starts the attitude. We watch her walk over while also yelling at the manager, probably about how she was "on her way to do it" she snaps at us and says "and what can i get for you guys?." I order, my partner orders. We get our food quickly. I ask for ranch, she says that she will get it if she remembers. Um... okay? She eventually brought it after i was basically done with my food. Partner got the create your own feast. Crab legs? Cold. Lobster tail? Cold. Shrimp? Microwave warm. Rice? Crunchy. Butter? half solid half liquid. My food? Tenders are cold, fries are the best part, mac and cheese? cold in the middle warm on the outside. Partner found plastic in mashed potatoes. (picture below.) Manager stops by and lets us know that a 20% discount was added to our bill. I told him that truly wasn't necessary but I do appreciate it. We didn't want to bother him about the food as he seems like a busy guy and we didn't want to cause more trouble. At this point she is standing across the way from us wiping down tables but absolutely giving us dirty looks. We ignore her, we wave her down for boxes and the check, she brings it to us, only after taking 20 minutes and only giving us one box, and if you've been there you know the boxes are small. We ask for another one and just ask her for exactly what we need. We tell her to have a goodnight and she just stares at us and rolls her eyes. Personally, I was devastated when the other location closed. We had been going there since I got my drivers license and it has always been our date night spot, we always had the same server and she was like family. We hadn't been to another one since the other one closed just because this one is a little out of our way, but we were in the area and decided to extend our night out. Unfortunately, I think our years at red lobster have come to an end as we probably will not return to this one. Just too expensive for the service that we received. Man those cheddar bay biscuits are AMAZING! Red Lobster is a mid-tier chain restaurant in Southlands, and since I've not gone here in a while, I've decided to revisit this place. Right off the bat, when you come in, you'll first see the lobster tank, the big bar in the middle of the room, and then all the ship-themed regalia that will have you feel like you're on a boat. Other than that, Red Lobster is what you would expect from a Applebees or Chillies type restaurant. To start my meal, I got a caesar salad, along with some cheddar bay biscuits. Both were AMAZING! The caesar salad was very cheesy and had lots of that delicious dressing that makes or breaks a caesar, and the biscuits were nice and crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside, and just all around amazing. Being the land food aficionado that I am, I got the maple bacon chicken with bacon mac n' cheese for dinner, and while the maple definitely wasn't real, and the quality wasn't very great, it still was good and I'd have it again. Service was good and the food came out at a nice, relaxed pace. We left not overly full, happy, and with a reasonable price to pay. I would recommend Red Lobster to anyone looking for good food and service, that won't cost you an arm and a leg. I made a point of telling the hostess she needed to clear the Open Table reservation since they previously failed to do so and I got a nasty gram from Open Table. Instead of clearing the Open Table reservation, she had the manager chew me out in front of my party. And, of course, I got a nasty gram from Open Table about no showing despite our tab of $453.60. In addition, this is the second time I have ordered mimosas from our server and been shorted half the Prosecco. Instead of giving us the bottle, the bartender used the second half for the second round, charging us twice as much. I cannot blame the server, it's not a drink he is familiar with. As always Cheddar Bay biscuits were a delicious start. Dinner served in plastic bag with bibs, and plastic gloves provided. Despite the bag containing what looked like copious amounts of chopped garlic did not taste the garlic, the lobster did not look appealing as it was hanging out of its shell, the corn on the cob was mushy and was cold close to the cob(definitely frozen), the potatoes needed salt and pepper, and were missing a crisp skin, the bag seemed to suffer from not enough heat and food seemed overcooked. Had the surf and turf filet. I've had this in the past and was decent. Tonight's dinner was sub par. The steak had somewhat of an old taste and had no seasoning to it. The baked potato was the size of a couple half dollars. The lobster was ok. My wife had the 2 tails and shrimp. Oh and a coke. I also had a beer. 130. Bucks, 160 with a tip. Way over priced for portion size, we won't be back either. My money is worth more than that read more
