Had the lobster bake. Didn't have all the lobster tails as advertised, the shrimp, scallops, and lobster was over cooked and chewy. Red Lobster is great. Everybody knows it. Not perfect, but great. It's probably the best place to eat seafood in this landlocked state. I highly recommend their scallops... Perfect consistency, decadent, smooth... and drenched in butter of course. I also love the crab legs. They are steamed and they give you plenty of butter to last for the meal. The crab legs are usually cooked for the perfect time to allow for easy cracking and pulling out large pieces of meat. read more

Went to Lunch today at Red Lobster-- first time we've been there in a long time and 1st time at new location-- very beautiful--- Waitress was AWESOME!!! which is why I gave them 5 stars-- both of us had the Wagyu Burger ( I know go to a seafood joint for a burger???) as we had never had one and only place we know that offers one--- must say that this is a huge burger--perfectly cooked and very tender--really good flavor---definitely one of the 5 best burgers we've had in town BUT as I got half way thru the 1st half, I noticed an aftertaste like the burger was char broiled or flame broiled which I try to avoid--- in my opinion the fries and salad were kind of small and overall price of the meal was kind of expensive BUT again the waitress was above and beyond in her service-- we had a reward for a free dessert and she helped me get that and made sure I got my rewards points-- thanks for a nice experience read more

Got take out Sunday afternoon as we don't live in Columbia. I have done this several times before and the food has been excellent however this time got Lobster Lovers dream for $31.99 and an extra $3.99 for the Lobster mashed potatoes. One is the Lobster's ended up being rotten. It was so bad he had to brush his teeth to get the taste out. Needless to say he pitched that out. My Cajun chicken linguini had to be the 1/2 size and they charged me $16.99 for it. The salads were tiny. What happened Red Lobster ??? I won't do take out again! read more

A friend and I spontaneously stopped in for supper around 9pm Tue eve (IIRC), and were treated to fantastic service and an excellent meal. Our server, Ruth (Baby Ruth), was attentive, friendly, and very interactive; making recommendations, answering questions, and even checking with the chef a couple of times to make sure my friend got exactly (sorry, no muscles, alas) the meal he was seeking (for me baby, it get's no more difficult than ENDLESS SHRIMP! oh... and perhaps a bit of Ranch dressing for the biscuits). We were both blessed to be able to substitute a bowl of soup for our salad/side and the Lobster Bisque was out of this world! It was more than just good food and attentiveness. Ruth took an interest in -us- as we joked and laughed and spent some time making our evening fantastic. I confess, it was a trip for comfort food as we brothers were both having a rough time of it, but instead of just comfort food, we got a comfort evening where we were both taken out of ourselves, allowed to relax, allowed to stuff ourselves to uncomfortably (Did I mention that the chef accidentally screwed up my friend's order and sent a full pound of crab legs instead just the half he ordered?). We completely forgot our troubles in the comfortable atmosphere with service of a sort that I have rarely received in nearly 40 years of dining out. What a blessing! read more

Ate here last week with my mother and a friend. We waited about 20-30 minutes to be seated. There were very few people there. Once we were seated it took forever for our waitress to get us our drinks. Food was alright but I barely touch it just a bite or two of each thing. Lobster was bland and not that hot. For 90 dollars worth of food I definitely expected so much more. We didn't even see the waitress but to give us our food and the check that was it. Bad service and bad food. This will be our last time eating at red lobster. I ordered broiled scallops and flounder. The scallops are the size of marbles, chewy with no flavor. My husband ordered fried shrimp. He said, Long John's is better. We used to enjoy the food at red lobster but the quality is not what it used to be. read more

I am very ashamed of the professionalism of the management staff here. Columbia has a Non-Smoking Ban in all Restaurants, therefore you would also think the management staff wouldn't be huddled outside all smoking together before returning into the restaurant. I'm sorry, but this is distasteful and not classy by any means. You work in a very nice, pricey seafood restaurant, yes it is a chain, but come on management you've got to be a little smarter than this! I would expect to see this from the back of a McDonalds or Taco Bell. Never a Red Lobster. And I don't want to smell a hint of cigarette smoke the next time I dine with you. The restaurant is old, the furniture is dated and the place needs s good cleaning. The wait staff is straight from the trailer park. Our waitress never smiled once. She was efficient, but too familiar with her demeanor. Our salads were fresh but my wife thought the salmon was average. My Admiral's Plate was plentiful but average. The only thing that is good are the biscuits. So if you like average fish food in an old place needing a cleaning, with tired wait staff, this is your place. For me, I'll look elsewhere for fish delights. read more

My husband and I ate here on 10/26/14 and were very disappointed! For starters, the hostess was very unwelcoming, never smiled and was somewhat rude. Someone should train her as to how to greet customers with more than the questions of, "Have you been written down & do you have a name?" Of course we all have names! We arrived around 6:45 p.m. and we're told it would be a 10 minute wait, no problem with that until we were finally seated we noticed the restaurant was less than half full. We placed our drink order which took approximately 10 minutes to get a coke & a hurricane. Then we sat another 5-10 minutes waiting for the waitress to take our food order, after another wait we finally received our salads. It took over 45 minutes from the time we were seated to get our dinner and we had both ordered meals with crab legs which were served to us ice cold, my husband had even ordered a steamer pot so you would assume they would be HOT! Plus, they were also out of corn on the cob which comes with the steamer. Furthermore, the restaurant was extremely dirty, you could see a layer of dust on all of the wooden partitions around us, the carpets were filthy and one of my husbands forks had dried food on it. I have eaten at many Red Lobsters and this is absolutely a disgrace to the chain. I would not suggest going there, EVER! read more

I went with three other people. One was sleeping in a stroller and one was sitting in a wheelchair. The hostess said "oh sorry" when we walked in, because she had been talking to someone else (a waiter?) and hadn't helped the two able-bodied in my party open the doors. Then, when we left, she totally ignored us leaving, and we once again had to struggle through the doors on our own. Food was OK, but the hostess was lazy and that ruined my experience. read more

I have never been so disappointed in this restaurant. Three hours! We arrived at 6:10pm. The time i was initially quoted was a ten minute wait....it took nearly forty minutes to be seated and only half the booths and seats were occupied. The drink i normally order, the strawberry lemonade, came with absolutely no garnishes, it normally has a lemon and strawberry. I received no biscuits after getting seated or after getting drinks and some of the slowest service ive recieved at any restaurant ever. I am appalled at this place. My Cesar salad had no dressing and it took another ten minutes to flag a waiter for some dressing and the salad had carrots in it. They forgot my fiancés soup and had to be reminded. I kept my coat on the entire meal and still was shivering the entire time and my nose began to run. When we asked for lemons and were deliverd them almost 15 minutes later we recieved oranges and was informed it was lemons. My food was very cold. The cheese on the baked potato wasn't melted and im pretty sure it was bad and my broccoli wasn't steamed at all, it was raw. Refills weren't offered until the end of the meal. It took another 20 minutes to even speak with a manager. By the time we were finished and paid it was 9:05pm. This was nearly 3 hours! Im am absolutely furious with this place and will likely never eat there again. read more

Had a night with my fiance finally after having the baby, and was really hoping for some well cooked food. But I kinda wish we went to Applebee's! The cheddar bay busquits were the best part of the trip. Service was okay. The food was the main problem. We ordered muscles, tasted like it was under the lamp for ten minutes or maybe overcooked a bit, wish it would have been tastier, the fish and chips was about the same. The fillet tasted chewy and old (maybe under the lamp for too long). I sincerely wish we would have said something to a manager but it was a gift to my husband for father's day and he's very laid back and didn't want me to inconvenience anyone. The lobster pizza was pretty decent, but I really suggest they either look into the quality of the food or the cooking staff, we spent $35 on dinner and didn't enjoy it, really sad seeing as though we rarely get the chance to eat out. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE, i ate here for my mothers birthday she usually loves the seafood. I ordered the fish and chips with a Caesar salad no dressing. I know that sounds weird but i do not like dressing. What i got was a Caesar salad with what at first appeared to be no dressing. On further inspection while eating it i noticed that they realized after making it that i asked for no dressing then picked all the pieces of lettuce out that had dressing. The cheese, bowl, and croutons were still covered in it. Its not a difficult task to just remake a salad or get it right in the first place its lettuce, cheese, and croutons. However i'm still willing to accept this as just an error it happens to everybody and I admit its a strange request. But then my food came and when the highlight of fish and chips is the chips there is a problem. I can only imagine that the fish had been forgotten about in the deep fryer that morning and it was served for lunch. The fish was over cooked to the point it had no flavor and was like chewing a used tire. The breading was as hard as a rock and burnt on the bottom which they tried to hide and scrape off. My mothers meal was so bad she took my tarter sauce and covered her fish with it. This will be the last meal either of us eat there. I wish i could say the service was the saving grace but after everything with the meal the service just made it worse. After finishing our meal and the server taking our plates we then had to wait 20 min to get our ticket so we could get the f*** out of there and go home to eat left over chili. The waitress acted strange the entire time and knew the fish was bad because she asked me twice if the fish was alright, If you know the food isn't good don't give it to the customer. I didn't want to be rude to the server but i felt it necessary to create this yelp account just to warn people to not eat here.
