***Review only for drinks not food***…read more Wonderful upscale bar in Downtown Fargo! If you are from the Cities, they are owned by the same people as the Hewing, so expect a similar level of service. I liked my old fashioned a lot, it was well made. They have a great bourbon selection, including a lot of Old Forester (which is, of course, the best bourbon). The staff was friendly and I had a nice chat. My one suggestion to the restaurant would be to mark DF (dairy free) on the menu, a lot of us can't have dairy!

Life took me to the upper Midwest last week- And while snow…read moreand chill prevailed, nothing but a hot spot was found for dinner at Rosewild!! Thank you for being a highlight of my long ways trip. Food- stunning, innovative. Ambience- funky and cozy, well spaced, great people. LOVED!!! It was a quiet Wednesday night and a nice break from a long day in having dinner at Rosewild. The decor is contemporary and comforting. We sat at a table overlooking the town's ice skaters, so fun. Drinks were well done- as always never mad at a hand stuffed blue cheese olive martini. Besides though - the food!!! Mmmmmmmm. Apps were Pork Belly burnt ends and Burrata salad. The burnt ends were a falsehood in name, could've been more juicy and meaty to mimic beef, but the flavor was there. Burrata, delicious! Light pesto of fresh herb. Entrees around the table were Steaks, Walleye dishes and two sides. Steaks were well taken by those enjoying. Not the best of cuts chosen towards hanger but made for a satisfaction. The walleye - loved the staying local feel here. And the bread pudding underneath. WHAT was this???! - divine!!! Again an inspo dish. This bread pudding- I am finding recipe and making for a holiday dish accompaniment. WOW!! Additional sides brought towards the steaks were roasted brussels and fried potatoes. These potatoes- had to be fried in an animal fat. They had SOOOOO much flavor. I swear to you not- we were finished dinner, everything was taken off the table and I would NOT LET GO of these fries. FML. I die. I want to eat them again and again. I wanted to take them with, on the plane and repeat a thousand times over. I think the best fries I've ever had in life, no lie. Well freaking done Rosewild. I'd never think reason to come back to Fargo being an East Coast girl, except for you- and the exquisite service, ambiance and food. You are killing it!

I was looking for a local breakfast place while in Fargo visiting and stumbled upon Fryn' Pan. The…read morebest way to describe this place is that it's a local Dakota version of Denny's. It has very similar food menu, the prices are on more affordable, it has a special weekday items (like a $4.99 breakfast deal with two scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast), and it's a bunch of seniors dining and spending their time there reading or playing crosswords or whatever. The food comes out pretty quick, and the portion is the right amount. I got the three egg omelet and it was not bad. If you like restaurants like Denny's, this is the spot for you and it's better than Denny's.

I ordered eggs Benedict skillet which is normally delicious! However this time around not so much…read moreI asked for extra crispy hash browns they we're lightly browned the rest was mushy raw potato. Now lets take on the service: My waitress was very pleasant. But the gal who checked me out I found very rude in her comments!!!! I said to her: I just wanted to let you know I order extra crispy hash browns and they we're raw on the inside.... her reply was not problem I just got her that's on them not me. Seriously I thought it really rude of her. She didn't even let them know let alone say I'm sorry to hear your food wasn't the way you wanted it... or even offer a discount... Not that I was speaking a discount. I just wanted them to know for the next time fo someone else they could do a little better job. Far as the ambiance goes it is average. But another thing if you plan on going in between 12 am and 6am be prepared you can not use the street entrance nor can you access the restrooms with out a code. Which I don't even think is at the right height if you we're in a wheelchair. I understand why they had to implement the feature but honestly it sorta creeper me out being locked in it took me a few moments to gain access of getting out.

The space was clean and the staff were attentive. I then made my way over to the bakery and restaurant side. The signs make it very clear to understand the breakouts. If you are ordering pastries and coffee you will be on one side, whereas, if you are looking to order off the menu with full service, you will be on the bar side. Nichole's is a well oiled machine. The setup is easy to navigate and the concept is unique. Blending pastries, coffee, cakes, cooking products, wine, breakfast, lunch and dinner into one space is magnificent. I loved my intimate dine in session ordering the avocado toast on sourdough bread with an over hard egg and an orange hot tea. It was the perfect blend and was the best avocado toast I ever had. My belly was far too full after brunch so I went to the bakery side after and bought a chocolate raspberry muffin (also the best muffin I've ever had), chocolate chip cookies (darn near ate them all in one setting) and poppyseed thumbprint cookies with a raspberry filling (jaw dropping). There are so many more products to taste and see so I highly recommend a visit. I totally look forward to my return in August so I can dabble more with pastries and get into the espresso world too. Thank you, Nichole's!! Glorious all around. Bravo!
