I know Yelp reviewers are often critical of chains but this Red lobster is good. We come 2 or 3 times a year when in town visiting family. Service is always great, all the employees are very friendly. Food is very good each time too. The new guava margarita was delicious. Staying at the hotel next door, wanted dinner but didn't want to drive anymore today. I was sat right away, my server Ladeja came right to the table and greeted me. She took my drink order and a few minutes later my food order. I ordered a new item, Parmesan Crusted Chicken and let me tell you, I am so glad I did. This was the best meal I had all week, Ladeja's customer service was beyond all expectations. I have worked in the military hospitality industry for over 40 years and I would have killed to have an employee like Ladeja. She deserves a raise and a promotion to trainers. read more

it's Monday evening in Greenwood and there iare literally 3 restaurants open, in this sorry town. We are here, and Lucas is bussing tables and seating customers, working his tail off...,it's quite busy. At the hostess table are several stacks of business cards with Brittany, the general manager, and I am questioning why she is not working tonight. I am not a huge fan of Red Lobster, but decided to have lunch there with a dear friend. We ordered the all you can eat shrimp. My favorite was the Shrimp Scampi. I was definitely not disappointed. The all time favorite for most are their biscuits and they certainly were tasty. I also enjoyed the salad. The salad was not your bland lettuce, one tomato, and dressing. The salad was much better than I had remembered. My last visit to a Red Lobster was about 4 years ago and it was a huge disappointment, but this location has me reconsidering my opinion of this famous chain. The food here is great, but in my opinion, the staff is even better. I came to this location tonight, and my order included a medium rare steak. However, I am when our order was brought out, my steak was cooked medium. Our waitress, Luvanda, noticed before I even said anything, which I really appreciate, because I was trying to decide whether or not to even bring it up, because we were with family celebrating my mother's birthday. The manager also came over and apologized as well, and he personally brought the steak and made sure I was satisfied with my steak before he left our table. Not only that, our waitress anticipated everything we needed before we had to ask, and was so friendly even though they were really busy (our visit was Saturday at dinner time, and which is always busy). Looked at my husband and acknowledged that he needed a refill and gave him an attitude and still walked off. Should I compare it to other Red Lobsters or to other local restaurants? The rating doesn't change either way. It's a decent version of every other Red Lobster that I've been to. Local seafood isn't really lacking, especially if you like it fried, but this is about the only place to find a variety of foods and cooking methods. If I could leave negative points, I would. We said we would never come back, but someone gave us a gift card so we decided to use it. Our mistake. Our server introduced herself but we couldn't understand what her name was. She quickly brought the garlic biscuits, which are always good. She took our drink order and got it wrong. When she came back to take our dinner order, I ordered the ultimate feast and asked for a baked potato instead of the rice. She asked if I wanted butter and sour cream and I said yes. For my side, I ordered brussel sprouts. She asked what salad dressing I would like and I told her I would prefer coleslaw instead of salad. My husband ordered salmon and scallops with a side of mashed potatoes. He also asked for coleslaw instead of a salad. The server brought out a salad with blue cheese dressing and an order of coleslaw. We told her we did not order a salad that we both ordered coleslaw. So she took the salad back and a few minutes later a coleslaw arrived. When the food started arriving, it was wrong from the get-go. There was rice on my plate and when I asked her about it she said it was just a garnish. The brussel sprouts were not on the plate. I reminded her that I had ordered a baked potato and she acknowledged that I had... But the baked potato never arrived. In a minute or two someone brought out mashed sweet potatoes, which neither of us had ordered. We told her we hadn't ordered the sweet potatoes, but had ordered brussels sprouts. I asked again about the bake potato, but the waitress really seemed out of it. Neither arrived. She came back and took away our dishes. Then she just disappeared again. She knew we were finished with the meal... she had taken the dishes. When she finally came back, she didn't bring the check. She brought a glass of tea. That would have been a nice gesture, except that my husband's tea was half full and my water was empty. We asked for the bill. Again, she disappeared for a while, but eventually came back with the bill. She had charged us $1.99 for the sweet potatoes we hadn't ordered. No adjustment was made for the food that hadn't been served. By that time, we had had enough. We paid the bill and left. I think we've learned our lesson for the last time. No more Red Lobster in Greenwood. read more

Worst Red Lobster I have ever been to. We just moved here from Greenville and the food is night and day. The presentation was lacking and the food did not look anything on the menu. It was my sons 17th birthday and he wanted to eat there. He ordered the shrimp and lobster plate 24.00 and was looking forward to his meal. Well the shrimp came out and were the size of popcorn shrimp on skewer ( surprised they could get a skewer through it) but it was not the big shrimp they showed. The lobster tail just looked sad all together. The food took up about half the plate. Not even close to what was expected. I will not go there again. True waste of money. The only reason this review has two stars instead of none, is the wait staff. They were courteous and helpful. They all deserve more than they get paid. Now, on to the actual dinner. I ordered the Wood Fire Lobster, Shrimp and Scallops. My lobster tail was the size of a small hotdog. The scallops had been ripped and rearranged to seem bigger. The shrimp were the size of popcorn shrimp and were placed on the wood sewer by some miracle that they didn't ripe apart. Some of my meal was cold. And it was served on a comically large plate that just called even more attention to the small size of the portions. For the price, I was not at all pleased. 9/09/16. My husband and I went into this Greenwood Red Lobster about 8:45 pm. There was a nice young man who greeted us and took our last name. Handed me a pager and gave me a 10 minute wait time. We sat down for about 2 minutes and a party of 7 came in, they were given a pager and also took a seat. Another minute went by and two women entered the door and asked for a table for 2. This same young man retrieved 2 menus from the desk and proceeded to seat the 2, all while we were sitting there watching!!!! Needless to say, we stood up, handed him the pager back and walked Out!!!! He says to us, but I was about to seat you too!!!
