I've been coming to the Kelso Red Lobster for many years, and I'm really impressed with how much it has improved. There was a period when it seemed to be going downhill, but they have clearly turned things around. The food is consistently good, the staff is always friendly, and it remains a reliable place to enjoy seafood. I'm giving it four stars because it may not quite knock it out of the park like some higher end seafood restaurants, but the consistency keeps me coming back. Came in with family to have a little midweek get together. The quality of the food was average, the hostess was super nice, and the wait for our dinners was close to 30 mins. The wait wasn't the biggest deal since we were talking, but for some reason our waitress became increasingly rude for no apparent reason. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, or we were interrupting her break, but it'll be a while before I ever think about going back. We didn't have any special orders, the place wasn't very busy, and it's not like we made a mess. All we did was order food, wait a long time, eat, and ask for to-go containers. If you end up at Red Lobster on a Wednesday, I really hope you get a different waitress, or that waitress doesn't take her bad day out on you. There are plenty of places to eat in the same price range where you don't have to deal with that. Came in around 4pm on a Friday and got seated immediately. The front hostess was not the friendliest and did not greet me with a smile nor ask how my day was like typically hostess do. My waitress was phenomenal and very bubbly. I got the surf and turf which was a little disappointing for the price that they charge. My broccoli was very much overcooked the mashed potatoes, lack flavor. What a wonderful way to spend Christmas. I'm glad that Red Lobster was open for Christmas this year. The food was great. I had the Ultimate Feast, 4 entrees and 2 sides and it was spot on. The wife and i absolutely love this place and decided to go on our anniversary (yes I spoil the wife and she is a big foodie just like me) We always love ordering the cheddar biscuits (of course!!!) and she mostly goes for the lobster and I, the steak. I took my parents out to eat. I'm vegetarian so the options are slim, but I found a baked potato and broccoli. Food came and I was looking at the broccoli. It was definitely not fresh, the stems were starting to turn brown. I was looking at it closer to decide if I could actually eat it and... there was a hair in it. I love to come to Red Lobster. Most every server is terrific in Customer Service, however today that is not true. A Jessica L .was our server. It was very unpleasant. My reaction was that she would rather have been anywhere else, doing anything else that waiting on tables. No interaction of any kind. Did not stay at the table long enough to find out if there was anything else needed. Her over all attitude was so lacking. Her lack of friendliness and concern needs serious change. Hubby and I spent $50 a plate. Biscuits were undercooked, had to ASK for the butter, REALY!? The largest of the two lobster tails on my plate was overcooked and they were NOT hot. Hubby's snow crab, overcooked and meat was stuck to inside of shells AND he ordered an extra half pound. And had to pay to order sides. Crab covered asparagus was $8.49. Extremely disappointing. It was a special night and I would have rather choked down Taco Bell than go here. Only nice thing about the meal was our waitress, Maria, hence the 20% tip. Not her fault the food sucked. As a Child we loved this place. The cheese rolls were a family staple. Now going back 15 years later i'm not quite sure. My steak was chewy and the salad was not fresh. Price isn't horrible but if i'm going to spend the money i'd definitely go else where. The only reason i'd leave this at 3 stars is because of the all you can eat shrimp but i believe that's been discontinued. Finally red lobster you are back on track. For a long time when my hubby wanted to go to any of your restaurants I try to avoided it. Why? I do not East seafood and very very less fish so it was never fun for me. And that was different a few years ago. At that time you at least had one menu item that was chicken with mashed potatoes and it was Wally good. But then you took it of the menu. Not having something that wasn't seafood or fish did not speak to me. But this time I wanted my hubby to finally enjoy your seafood again and I'll said well I'll will go with fish and chips that's something I can live with and you get your lobster feast. This place is an amazing upgrade from our Red Lobster in the Portland area. We stopped in here on our way from Seattle to Portland for our daughter's birthday dinner. We were seated immediately at a booth. Our server introduced herself and took our drink orders to give us time to decide on food. After placing our orders we received our favorite biscuits and shortly after that received our soups and salads. Everything was very good. Salads were fresh and crisp and the clam chowder was hot. When our dinners arrived we were all served at one time which was great!! That doesn't always happen for us since we generally have 4-7 in our party. The food was all prepared great and tasted even better. The fried shrimps were crisp and not greasy. The pasta was nicely cooked and the salmon and lobster were cooked perfectly. Our server and the manager were really great when I had a small issue with my pasta. All of the staff here were really great and very friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. Tonight was supposed to be a fun night out with the family with some good food, you'd think the food would be amazing for the price that they're making you pay for it. Well that was a very wrong assumption I made. The food was cold, the clam chowder, the cheeseburgers, the loaded potato, no lobster on the loaded potato, overcooked shrimp, countless items of food were forgotten, I would not recommend eating here. You're way better off going to Applebees right across the bridge, the service is way faster, accurate and kinder. Don't waste your money here, especially in the economy. read more

A bottle usually runs for $14 at any retailer. Total buzz kill when the check comes. The food has been good every time I come here. The dining room could use updating. The bathrooms were clean. (I feel that you can really judge a restaurant by how clean they keep their bathrooms). This Red Lobster restaurant in Kelso, is supposed to sell seafood and we arrived with our family for lunch, we placed our order and 25 minutes later we were told they had no fish for you. There was no concern to take care of the customer, or provide a solution or an excuse for not selling seafood in a seafood restaurant, we wanted to talk to the manager because of the poor service but we understood that the staff does not care about the customer, because the manager does not care about the customer either, he did not want to come out to serve us and just said he could not do anything. Had my son's birthday dinner there last night with a party of 10, I had called day prior to make sure they could accommodate our large party. They had our table ready right on time and the staff was all very nice and even offered a free scoop of ice cream for my son's birthday. We opted out as we were all so full from dinner. Between all of us we ordered a little bit of everything and nobody had a single complaint! It did take about a little while to get our food but that's to be expected with a larger party. Second time trying to eat here. They got worse. If you want the all you can eat shrimp beware! They are adding stipulations to the meal. You can only have the better choices of the shrimp on your first order. If you want the skewers for example, you can not get it more than once. If you don't order it on your first plate you can't get it at all. Such a rotten scam to bring in people and then deny them the popular choices. They have also raised the price to $27 from the originally advertised $20. That's over a 33% increase. The meal with the imposed restrictions is not worth it. I will not be returning. read more

Wow! I would've never thought I'd say this, the Red Lobster in Kelso is really good! We came here on a stopover. The service team was exceptionally friendly. Everyone greeted us with energy and warmth. You know you're in for a fun eating experience. We ordered Alfredo Linguine with shrimp and coconut shrimp with fries and cold slaw. Both were served quickly and ingredients were fresh. For wary travelers, fresh yummy food is always always welcomed! Safe yourself 80 bucks and your time, and go to Burger King across the road. Took over 52 minutes to get our food. (2 meals.) Rice and mash potatoes were extremely bland. Shrimp was meh. I haven't been to Red Lobster in years. The Biscuits are as good I I remember. I Ordered Fish and Chips and asked for Broccoli instead of Chips. The Broccoli tasted terrible and some of it was flowering and other were black. The coleslaw tasted like it had rotten apples in it. Cant tell how old this stuff was, but it should have been thrown out ..... The Cod was Wonderful and tasted out of this world. Wish they had NOT served it on Paper as some of the Cod Stuck to the paper and I'm not sure how much paper became part of my meal and there were big holes in the paper.
