They were having trouble with the AC, ambiance was very warm. I once again gave Red Lobster a try. Went with my friend. She ordered shrimp, Cole slaw and fries. She enjoyed it. Well they were like the frozen ones you get at The dollar store stores. The ones that are pressed flat about the size of a quarter and about as thick as a soda straw. Most people do not know any other kind of shrimp. I ordered the flounder with salad, gone are the days of fresh crisp romaine. Now you get the simi limp field greens, the chopped tomatoes on it were a little on the spoiled side. Stale croutons. Got the smallest baked potato ever. It was at least cooked well. The flounder was good with a very thin breading. Although I asked for some biscuits with my salad, they came with the entree. Not the quality they used to be known for. My server was so rushed. It seems if you've visited one Red Lobster you've seen them all, they all look so familiar from the decor, the dim lighting, the dark wood finishes, the food I guess if anything is different about the experience it's the staff. Today we had the pleasure of having Deborah as our server at a booth in the bar, she's a professional, she's friendly, accommodating and efficient. If I had to say what's different, it's the menu, the portions, the prices and in my opinion probably the quality of the food, this chain has met with some challenges, blame it on the economy, inflation, competition from newer businesses and food choices but they have blamed it on their antiquated business model and their under priced AUCE "shrimp feast" I doubt if it's any one thing and more of a combination of things including poor management practices. I thought this restaurant chain had become more of a blue hair, blue plate special venue but after scanning the menu it's doubtful senior citizens on a fixed income could eat here with any frequency. It's been awhile since I've eaten at Red Lobster and everything I thought I knew or I thought I liked has changed in my opinion. The infamous complimentary cheddar biscuits were just okay but still complimentary. We both order shrimp, they were okay, grilled shrimp, shrimp scampi with rice and a double order (10) of Walt's favorite shrimp with a baked potato (the potato is still the same it's small). It was just okay, sixty bucks for lunch including a good tip for Deborah, she provided good attentive service. Cockroaches! Service was great. Food was okay, if they would charge me less. Alfredo was grainy, child's mac n cheese was definitely Kraft boxed, shrimp tasted good but tails were really hard to get off... likely frozen shrimp. To top it off, we saw a cockroach, my husband killed it. We informed the GM quietly and he came over to apologize and offered us free desert on our next visit. Yesterday my daughter and I had lunch at my favorite restaurant chain. Merritt Island is my usual go to Red Lobster for my seafood fix. I always order the Admiral Fest, it was excellent as usual. Our server was excellent, checking on us regularly. I for got her name but she was of Asian decent. Very, very kind. My only complaint is the cheddar biscuits. It's not only at this particular restaurant but for the past two years, it's at all of the others. They just don't taste like they use to. I talked to my cousin(she lives in Georgia) without me mentioning the cheddar biscuits, she said the same thing. I don't know who changed the receipe, they need to go back to the old receipe!!! On 07/27/2024, We were seated immediately in a booth near a window. I chose the Ultimate Feast for $42 again. I got 2 premium choices and went with 2 Maine Lobster Tails again. I also got to choose 2 Regular items and went with the Garlic Shrimp Scampi and Shrimp Linguine again. For my 2 side choices I went with Broccoli and Orzo Rice again. We enjoyed good, leisurely conversation before placing our orders and during our cocktails. Food arrived when we were ready it was hot and smelled great. I dug into the Shrimp Linguine first. it was HOT and CHEEEEZY and was WONDERFUL! Next was the Garlic Shrimp Scampi which was LOADED with garlic and butter. Soooo TASTY! I saved the leftover butter and garlic and put them on my Orzo Rice. YUMMY! Last but not least were the 2 Maine Lobster Tails. They were SWEET when dipped in the drawn butter. FANTASTIC! The Broccoli was steamed PERFECTLY. Service was attentive and efficient. If you order the Shrimp Linguine and the Garlic Shrimp Scampi, ask them to remove the tails from the shrimps BEFORE cooking. We used to like Red Lobster, but tonight's meal was sub-par and we probably won't return. Here are the issues: I had the salmon dinner (which had tiny bones - dangerous and not pleasant to eat). The side of broccoli was tasty, but overcooked and soggy. The baked potato had a very small amount of butter and sour cream so I only ate a few bites of it. Steve had a double helping of shrimp alfredo and a shrimp skewer for his meal. The pasta was dry and yellow - so he asked our waitress to get him a little more alfredo and pointed to the dish. She said sure, and returned several minutes later with a small bowl of it. When the bill came it was a $3.50 surcharge for alfredo. No other restaurant has ever charged him when they made the mistake. He didn't send the meal back, he simply asked for it to be corrected. read more

Went to Red Lobster tonight. My favorite is no longer on the menu, the Maple Chicken. I don't like seafood, but my husband does. I got the chicken tenders, they were not very good. Very dry, overcooked. My husband had the fish special, which he really liked. Service was very slow, took quite a while to get our food. Only brought 3 biscuits, for the two of us, had to ask for refill. Asked for a refill on my sweet tea, got refill of non sweet. Took 25 minutes to get to go containers and check. We went here the other day on our way to our hotel..we ced a dept septic smell outside but it was outside and went in...we were seated promptly. And you get 1 dozen delicious Sweet-White shrimp at FSG for $13 - and 6 pathetic fried shrimp at RL for $14. My elbows and hands became very sticky on the disgusting wood tables at Red Lobster, which are obviously hard to keep clean and sanitized. A health issue! Wife had the nerve to want Lobster Bisque as one of her sides - for a $5.50 up-charge. HA HA HA. Would have been OK, if the Lobster Bisque didn't taste like crap! It was disgusting! This location is how all red lobsters should run their business. The place was spotless Clean , Nice to not see a filthy floor for a change. And the food was like how red lobster used to be long ago. Big baked potatoes, nice size shrimp. And a shrimp cocktail that actually looks like a shrimp cocktail. Nice fresh salads served and chill down Bowls . Fresh biscuits, nice and soft. Service was fast efficient and friendly and the manager even came by and asked how everything was. First I will say we frequent this Red Lobster as we live nearby but this time it was less than a pleasant experience. The food was good as usual but I do not like a server lying to me (Holly). We arrived 20 minutes before 6, when happy hour ends. We first asked for water and by the time she returned, about 5 minutes later, I asked for one of the $5 happy hour specials on the table placard, a 20 ounce Blue Moon draft and we gave our food order. Several minutes (10 or so) passed and I noticed folks seated right after us had gotten their drinks. When she finally came by I asked about the Blue Moon and she stated she had forgot to put it in (it was now after 6). Our food came. No Blue Moon (glad I had water). In a few minutes she hurridly placed a 12 oz opened Blue Moon bottle beside me and did not wait until I could swallow my food to ask if everything was alright. I double checked the table placard...sure enough, I was supposed to get a 20 0z Draft..not bottle. I only order drafts when out to eat. I left the bottle,untouched, at the edge of the table until she finally returned. I showed her the placard but her reply was that the bottle was the happy hour. I restated and reshowed her that it was 20 oz and a draft. She then told me they did not have Blue Moon on draft. Why was I not told that to begin with? She stated she could not take the bottle off our bill. I asked for the manager who NEVER appeared. I told her I would not pay for the bottle of beer and it needed to be taken off. She totally avoided us until it was time to bring our bill and she stated she had given the military discount to offset the beer. She did tell us "No Bad Review". Guess she did not want to tell her manager she had failed to 1)put the order in during happy hour or 2)I had called her out for not stating they did not have the advertised beer. I should have gone by the bar to see if they actually had Blue Moon on Draft but did not do that. What has happened to Red Lobster! I visited Melbourne a short while back and walked out. Today, we tried Merritt Island only because we wanted the endless shrimp. We always sit at the bar if a restaurant has one so we sat at the bar. There was a disgusting smell. It smelled like a gross plumbing issue. It was bad enough that we almost left but stayed hoping it would go away. It did not. First, NO draft beer. The glass window things above the TV's were splashed/stained with something. Kinda nasty to look at. The bartender was so so. Didn't pay much attention and had to ask for things twice. The food came out hot and I will say it was good. The smell outweighed all else and while the food was good, the atmosphere was not good. Today was my final visit to any and all Red Lobsters. Endless shrimp or not. read more

If you are looking for a fish sandwich, then give Red Lobster a try. This sandwich is massive!!! You get a choice of side, I would chose the ceaser salad of course, and Cole slaw(which they forgot). Tip: I asked if they could add L-T to the sandwich and i came home and added cheese and good thing I had tater sauce(which they also forgot). Red Lobster can never go wrong with the ceaser salad. Our family frequents this Red Lobster a lot to have dinner and for get togethers with the family. Usually if it is only a couple of us we like to sit in the bar area. We are always greeted with a welcome smile and demeanor by the hostess or bartender there. We are always asked to sit wherever we like in the bar area. Tonight, we went to have dinner there, and sat ourselves like we always do, and the waitress was very mean and nasty, and told us that we were not allowed to just seat ourselves. People can only sit at the bar area to have a drink, and we could not sit there. If we continued to sit there we would not be served at all. It's rare that I go out as I'm a 17-year kitchen vet! My dad and I came in, hostess girl was busy on her phone and the manager greeted us immediately (good save, closing manager 5/15!!) Our server, pretty sure Jaya was her name greeted us with great energy and was never over-bearing. She has a good eye for table needs and was pleasantly engaging.
