Valentine's Day dinner at Carrabba's was a hit. We started with lump crab cakes and spicy fried calamari--both were really good and came out fresh and crispy. For the main, we had the shrimp & steak Toscana, which was super flavorful and filling. We went to the wine dinner last night. Party of 3. The menu sounded amazing. 1st course brunette was ok. 2nd course was pasta with grilled chicken. Everyone's was cold with dry overcooked chicken. 3rd course was filet. The roasted potatoes looked nice but we're cold as was the zucchini. The filet was tasty but 2 of 3 were overcooked. Medium well can ruin a nice steak. The walnut brownies were very good but the portion was huge. This was our 5th wine dinner and I'm sad to say our last. At $75 each we could have had a much better meal at several area restaurants. Service was scarce but friendly when we saw her. read more

I like Carrabas and visit this location approximately twice yearly while traveling from NY to visit family. Their quality has been tumbling over the past few years. Each time I visit, I have the Pollo Rosso Maria. There is always a problem with the dish. Last time, there were two mushroom slices on the dish so I had to ask for more. This time, the prosciutto was non-existent. I called manager over and he pointed to a thin sliver of fat as their so-called prosciutto stuffing. Absurd! He actually tried arguing with me. Well, the dish came off the check and the restaurant lost a $26.99 sale and threw the food in the trash. Great business move thinking people are stupid. Rundown. 1) Waiter excellent. 2) Kitchen waiter aloof. When I had the issue, I asked the kitchen waiter to get our waiter and pointed to where he was across the room and it took him five minutes to arrive and when he did, I asked him if the kitchen waiter told him I wanted him to come over and he said no. 3) Host attentive while seating us. 4) Atmosphere excellent but lots of empty tables. on a Thursday night. Hmmm. I wonder why? 5) Bread, olive oil and seasonings fresh and delicious. 6) Menu. Feels like everything is an extra. They act like airlines with all the extra fees. 7) Caesar salad was delicious as was all the food. 8) Complimentary birthday cake slice for my 94yo guest. They loved their chicken parm dish. 9) Main problem is food portioning and everything being an extra on the menu. Using the word "stuffed" and then delivering food unstuffed is a dumb practice. I like Carrabbas. One of my favorite things is their "Wine Dinner". It is normally a delightful 4 course meal paired with appropriate wines. Last night I was disappointed. I can only guess that the head chef called in sick. Of the 4 wines served, one was worthwhile; the Stags Leap Artimis Cabernet. The other three tasted like something from a cardboard box. Three courses were acceptable but not memorable. Unfortunately the main course, the 10oz sirloin was overcooked with no pink showing anywhere. Consequently, it was rather chewy and dry. Adding insult to injury, on the plate beside the shoe leather steak, was a beautiful broccoli au gratin that was cold. This course was put into the takeaway box to be somehow resurected the following day. How could this happen? Maybe they had too many steaks to serve at the same time and not enough staff. I recommend that Carrabbas limit the number of wine dinner guests to a number they can provide a quality epicurian experience to. At $65 plus tax and gratuity, I felt cheated. I could have done better at Roadhouse, Outback or Longhorn. I am not giving up on Carrabbas wine dinners but I am considering travelling a little further to the Merritt Island location until the Melbourne one can sort how to serve a multi course meal to more than 4 people. I am not dissing Carrabbas but venting on this one experience. read more

Well what can I say? Third visit and every time there is a problem. The servers are really in need of training. Our server could not give basic service, too busy talking to a customer at another table. Could not bring bread until almost time for main course. Brought wrong salad but couldn't get attention to change it. My chicken was extra heavy On oil and broccoli had a lot of red pepper , so much so it should have been on the menu as extra spicy. Food was so salty. Just terrible. Wanted my drink refilled and after asking it never happened. Only reason I could give two stars was the company of my dinner companion was enjoyable. I don't remember what we had but we've eaten here a couple times trying out most entrees and their food is delicious. The alcohol beverages are so so good and (gladly) a fun amount of strong. Their alfredo is DELICIOUS and very creamy and their shrimp scampi is amazing and tangy! read more

We were a party of three, and came in on a Saturday evening around 8:30 PM. We were greeted immediately, and we sat at a large booth, not far from the kitchen area. Kendra was our server who performed way above average. She was super friendly, accommodating, professional, and overall just a lovely young lady. You would come back again and again for her alone. But then the food arrived, and our experience got better. Two rigatoni dishes, and a spaghetti dish, cooked to perfection. There was plenty of food, and we even managed to take two to-go boxes home due to the plentiful amounts of pasta. I would not hesitate to return here at all. Great dining experience. Darden Corp. would be proud of their subsidiary. Kendra can hold and teach classes around town instructing other wait staff how to serve and interact with customers properly. Long wait for little return. It has been a long time since we've eaten at or from this place and tonight's experience was a reminder of why. We ordered chicken Parmesan to pick up and eat at home. I waited in the parking lot for about 10 minutes before they brought the order to the truck and the food was just warm after waiting close to 45 minutes. There were two chicken cutlets in the order with very little parm or sauce on either of them. Without the sauce and cheese, the two cutlets combined might've weighed as much as half of a half of a regular sized chicken breast. They must have really sharp knives to cut that thin. As for flavor or taste, there was little of either. It was like chewing tough styrofoam. Awful meal, awful experience, but we paid nearly 20% more for it then before. read more

I would say this experience was not worth the prices. I ordered pick up. I got a Caesar salad with the chicken piccata and Alfredo noodles. I also ordered mozz sticks. When I pulled up, I ended up waiting for about 20 mins for the food to come out, which I was fine with, they were busy. The problem was, when I got my food and left, got home (about a 10 minute drive), the mozz sticks were lukewarm and not appetizing. The croutons in my salad were not crunchy. And the noodles with my meal were soggy and didn't have sauce on them (I'm not sure if they were supposed to?) I did enjoy the bread and oil. The chicken piccata was delicious. And I commend the guy who was running orders out to cars, he was so kind and I could tell he was working super hard. I wish I could have given him more money for a tip. read more

First let me say I like Carrabba's. A consistently good restaurant. I ordered the grilled pork chop with a side of sauteed mushrooms . The server said "You're aware it comes with Marsala mushroom sauce?" I said "Yes I want them anyway." Then the chop came to the table... plain. I asked the server about it and she apologised and would check on that. Came back and said she spoke to the manager and she said "We no longer do that, If you want the Marsala sauce its extra." I expressed my disappointment. She then came back with the wine sauce, though never got my side of mushrooms. Also ordered an Irish coffee but they could not make it properly so I declined, another ding. With all that said the manager never came to the table. There is one thing I learned, in restaurants 101, if the customer is unhappy, as the manager you go to that table to smooth things over. That's an integral part of the job. She did not. This spot never disappoints! The overall ambience of this place couple with the superb service will always have me coming back. My experience was great here! We had a party of ten for a late night graduation party swing in here and they were on top of it. We were welcomed with open arms even though it was a mere hour and 15 mins before closing. Very polite - and apologetic, since it took over an hour to get our first appetizer and 20 minutes later to get the second. Carrabbas is a place I've been visiting all over the south for over 20 years. Has it been hit or miss? Not really. They are usually pretty spot on with service and quality taste... however. Our server was attentive... TOO attentive. He came by every 3 minutes to check on us. It was great... at first. The second we got our meal and we are enjoying our wine he tried to get our phone number to look up our account. My mouth was full of food... not the best time. This is something that should be handled before or after the meal. NOT during! My husband and I got frustrated and asked if we could please enjoy our meal first. He left but still came every 3 minutes to check on us. It became obnoxious. I believe he was making up for forgetting to put in our appetizer, which came out with our meal due to being reminded and the meal order was already put in. Based on the food this should be a 5 star review, but the service was too invasive and mistakes were made. My husband ordered the upgraded steak medium rare, I had the smaller less thick cut rare. Our steaks were cooked at the others preference. Very disappointing for my husband as he was hungry and the one paying the bill. So my husband got a smaller steak due to yet another error on the servers end while I got the big one which made me feel guilty. On top of the mussels being forgotten and the waiter being past annoying we didn't complain. I have not found anything on their menu that I don't love, except maybe the asparagus, but that is just me, I don't like asparagus. We exclusively eat at the bar when we eat at a Carrabba's whenever possible. We find the service to be much quicker there. Love the fact that they will make special dishes for you that aren't on the menu if you ask. My favorite as an example is veal parmigiana which isn't on their menu, but they always make it for me. So if Grandma made your Italian dishes differently, ask if they will do it the way your Grandma did. They are usually happy to comply. I do love Italian food and for a chain restaurant they do a great job. read more

We went on Sunday Feb 2nd about 5 o'clock. No one greeted us when we first walked in but seated about a minute later. I don't recall the server introducing himself but was otherwise okay. Bread and drinks came out quickly. The problem we had was the meal. Nothing seemed very hot except for the spinach my wife had. All the rest of the food was barely warm. We tried to let them know but either they didn't care or thought we were making it up because they tried to say it was just finished cooking. My wife asked for extra Marsala sauce and it was cool also. I would say the prepared food was not being kept hot. We had mashed potatoes and sauces on our food and made anything that would be hot became cold when they plated it. Terrible food and service. We went to celebrate a family birthday and most of the entrees were not good. The pasta was overcooked and had not been drained. It was floating in water. The ravoli which was a new entree had chunks of garlic within the ravoil. The chicken parm was so thin that it was mostly breading. The waiter forgot to bring one of the entrees, did not return to check on orders or offer refills. We had to call him for the missing entree. Also missing was the AARP discount which we requested. I used to love going here usually once a week but then they discontinued the Italian sausage with their spaghetti so I haven't been in a few years. The marinara sauce is delicious and the bread here is the bomb with butter. The spicy chicken soup is very good too if it's still on the menu..Please bring back the Italian sausage!!! read more

Although the food was good, the service was so poor that it ruined the experience of being out at Carrabba's, a place we had so enjoyed for years, but we hadn't been in recently. The server made excuses right from the start and kept telling us he was so busy with take out orders, that he could barely keep up. Meanwhile, the restaurant was half full. Other staff members brought our food, which is why I left a tip, and once our entrees arrived, we never saw him again. Finally asked another staff member to get him, five more minutes, and he goes to another table and then leaves again. Finally, my cousin takes my 95 year old mother out to the vehicle, I stand up, walk over and get a container to pack up our leftovers, then go find him to get the bill. He continues with the kitchen is overwhelmed, he has so much to do, he has four take out orders for every table he waits on, OMG, get another job, this one is not for you. My mother can only recently get in a wheelchair and we made a special evening to go here, her old favorite place to go with friends for years. I ate dinner at the Carrabba's located at 7620 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL this past Thursday night. At first I thought it was fine--ridiculously salty, but passable. However, approximately four hours later, I experienced a pronounced case of diarrhea--something I never get. The symptoms continued throughout the night and into the next morning. I would recommend that the management at this restaurant take the following steps to prevent this from happening to other customers: look at their chicken storage to make sure that old meat is being discarded; review the washing of vegetables to make sure that the staff is getting rid of bacteria; and make sure that employees are washing their hands after using the restroom. It seems like Carrabba's adds more and more salt to their meals with every passing year. It's gotten to the point where it has become rather ridiculous. And now that they're adding food poisoning and bacteria into things, I think it's time to cross this place off the list. read more

I placed my order on the app for curbside at 512pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023. The app stated it would be ready in 27 minutes. Shortly after I parked, an employee asked for my name. They were very busy with curbside pick ups, so I waited patiently. At 615, I stopped an employee to state I placed my order one hour ago. She said she would check on my order and went back inside the restaurant. I saw her return to other vehicles without following up with me. At 630pm, I called the restaurant asking if it was normal that I was waiting 1.25 hours for my order. The employee responded yes, because they are busy on Friday and Saturday evenings. I finally received my order. It was the worst food ever. The side salad was warm. The rest was cold. The noodles were a large brick, because I am sure they sat there inside the restaurant. Also, I arrived home with incorrect food in my bag. Funny how the order ticket has a time of 539pm with all the items crossed off. I am assuming that means it was ready at 539pm. Remember, I didn't get my order until 630pm and after I spoke to 3 different employees. I will NEVER return to or recommend this location. I think my review speaks for itself. I will drive out of my way for better service and follow up. read more

If you want food poisoning this is the place. When I first walked in I could smell the bar - old beer and who knows what else spilled in the floor. It stunk. The fact that the host who looked like he had a hangover proceeded to guide us to the bar area! Yuck! I immediately said no. And we were promptly seated in a booth - far away from The bar area. The server was very nice and sweet. The food, on the other hand, was salty and not cooked well. The menu shrunk - including the portions, and it was by far the worst I have ever eaten. A big box restaurant, which this instance was solid enough... First time at this particular Carrabba's and what struck me from the get-go was how "unbusy" it was. The other Carrabba's I frequent always seems to be busy, but this one was, from my perspective, strangely not. Anyway, after being seated quickly we began our experience. Ambiance is like the other one we frequent, though it appears more airy and is filled more with ambient light. The food was okay, not spectacular - I had their shrimp and scallop combo, while the wife had their chicken rigatoni. Where she had a salad I had their version of chicken noodle soup. On the one hand the pieces of chicken were good, but on the other the soup showed up just warm. The same I can say about the meal, but it was satisfying and flavorful enough. The waiter was a nice enough guy but I think he struggled with the large table he had to deal with as well. This unfortunately was problematic for us as we waited longer than we normally expect for a refill, and after just one, never got one again. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed the meal and if ever in the area again wouldn't hesitate to drop in once more. read more
