At a peak hour we were seated with no wait to our table with menus. The server quickly came over, took a drink order and asked if we cared to order anything. We barely had menus in hand. My husband ordered butterfish with scallops and I had bourbon salmon. The server told me it normally comes with garlic mashed and broccoli, however the menu says the entree comes with a choice of 2 sides. Both these entrees were very tasty but a bit stingy on the portions except for the broccoli. The service was very good, except our plates were not cleared. Then my husband's was removed but not mine. The tables for two are quite small. The restaurant is low lit, impressive bar area, large tinted windows and an enclosed area outdoors for weather permitting dining. Very inviting surroundings and well designed. One caveat: I did not feel the seating was private, practically adjoining the other patrons, too close by. This is one of my favorite sea food chains for the grilled options and consistency of service and quality. I appreciate the white linen table cloths to boost the rooms ambiance. I'd been looking everywhere for some Chilean Sea Bass... they're the only ones who seemed to have it on their menu within 20 sq. miles! I came in later in the evening close to closing. My server was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely went above and beyond to ensure I was pleased with my meal. My only issue is that the fish was previously frozen. I'd specifically asked if it was fresh... it was a bit disappointing. You wonder why I'm being picky? I live in a land-locked city/state and was pregnant and craving this fish... I had 2 days in the area and was determined to find some fresh Chilean sea bass. So while it wasn't EXACTLY what I was looking for, it was still really good. I'm giving a three out of five star review! We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant! It looked clean and current. The seating was a bit close to each other but the booths were spacious. Our service was great! Everyone was nice except the gentleman who seated us. He was a bit snippy with us when we asked to be seated in a smaller booth. We were a party of 3 being seated in a booth that could easily hold 6-8 people and right by the bathroom. That is the least desirable location for me as I hate having multiple people walk by me throughout my dinner. We were able to be relocated so I was happy with our table. We went on Easter Sunday 2025 at 5pm and the restaurant was not crowded. The food was just okay... the presentation needs a lot of work! The plate was too small for the butterfish meal and was the exact same size as the plate used for my son's kids order. It all looked jumbled on the plate which was not appealing to the eye especially for a $30 dinner. In addition, the food came out at. Various temperatures which tells me all the food was not plated simultaneously or at least within a couple/few minutes of each other. The butterfish had to be sent back because the food was cold except for the broccoli. The shrimp and coconut risotto was the same where the risotto was hot and the shrimp was lukewarm. It was not appealing to the eye but I ate it. The shrimp was cooked well and tasted good. The risotto was not cooked adequately and had areas that were cooked and other grains that were undercooked. The sauce that came with the dish was tangy and not to my liking. My son had the kids popcorn shrimp with French fries. He enjoyed his food and loved the bread! Our drinks were presented well and were beautifully made. They tasted great as well! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of them but they were mocktails. We skipped out on the dessert since the only things we really enjoyed were the bread and the drinks. I don't think we will be going back anytime soon, unfortunately. read more

We got the lobster tail dinner and the shrimp and scallop linguine. The linguine was very nice. The lobster tails were Awful. Small maybe 3oz. Overcooked, looked nothing like the online photo and mashed potatoes were terrible, cold, looked like a school lunch display from the 70,s. Also of note is their full service bar that is kept stocked with fine liquors and at least 4 draft beers on tap. My friend took me to celebrate my birthday and I was very excited to eat there. I was seated right away and Michael our waiter was very helpful till he realized we were ordering off the lunch menu it was 1pm why would we order a big dinner meal. His whole attitude towards us changed. He didn't ask how we wanted our burgers cooked, never gave us straws after asking twice we had to keep flagging him down since he never came back to ask if everything was okay. My burger was well done instead of medium, the fries were okay but the bread and dipping oil was the freshest thing in there. It was really good. We asked for more and told him we would pay extra for it. He just came by our table and dropped the bread on the board in front of my friend. No extra oil or any here you are nothing. He was just really rude. My friend eats there at least once a week and she said he's always like that. She said the older man and a younger blond hair guy were really good. So my birthday lunch was not very good to the point he made us uncomfortable to even ask for the check. I would probably go back at dinner and give it another try. Stopped by during back to school shopping with my 6y/o for a light lunch. To start my cappuccino was delish and pretty, my kids lunch was good even for adult standards! But the reason I felt compelled to write a review is because we were seated next to a group of elderly men, who just so happened to think it was appropriate to get into a cussing/yelling match in the middle of a nice restaurant, no where near the bar area. After they took a pause I politely said "sorry gentlemen but I have a child with me could you stop swearing so loud?" They apologized and that was the end of it. I didn't want to complain about it to the staff because it wasn't in the least bit their fault. I asked for the check and our super kind server came back with a to go bag of complimentary house made chocolate chip cookies for the ruckus (pretty sure he took off my kid's lemonade too). My party of three was greeted and seated promptly. Arrived at about 6PM on a Tuesday evening. First strike was server's helper gave us 2 menus and walked away. Our real server was bright, bubbly and efficient and solved that problem quickly. She took our cocktail order, asked if we had questions and went on her way. A different server's helper brought our cocktails but only brought 2... forgot mine. Second strike. Again, our regular server to the rescue and brought it post haste. She took our appetizer order ... calamari and crab cakes to split. When the appetizers arrived, she took our dinner order: one steak and lobster, one grilled shrimp & scallops' skewer and one filet mignon. Calamari was cooked well in obviously clean oil but a little tasteless. Crab cakes could have used a bit more crab. Timing of dinner arrival was acceptable with good ticket times...not too quick and not too slow. Gave us time to enjoy our cocktails and appetizers. Son said steak and lobster was good but needed a bit more seasoning. A touch of salt and pepper fixed that. Lobster was firm but not tough. Daughter's filet was cooked to perfection. Her broccoli side was nice and firm but not tough. My shrimp and lobster skewer was great, the mango salsa was very tasty but the cole slaw was vinegar based and very tart and sour. Tasted more like kimchi than slaw. All in all, I would give the food a B+. Good but not great. Prices were reasonable with average dinner cost under $30 per plate. The saving grace of the entire evening was our server. She alone was worth a trip back! Will I go back? Sure! :) read more

I attended the social hour sips & sampling event. It was organized & timely. You couldn't alter the food since it was complimentary. I took the blt nachos home for my son. The sashimi tuna was yummy. The bang shrimp was typical, the usual. While I waited for my reservation, I ordered the brussel sprouts. They were cooked nicely & the sauce was flavorful. The shrimp & scallop entree had a nice grill flavor but the shrimp & scallops were small. I didn't enjoy the elote & the spinach had no garlic flavor. I added my chimichurri sauce so it wasn't bland. I really want to enjoy the food since they have $7 happy hr drinks (weekend included) but the food is nothing special. The bartender was attentive & friendly. We typically love Bonefish. Tonight, July 5th, we sat at a bar booth with our family. The service was just ok...the worst part was when he brought out the kids dinners, he dropped one of the kids ketchup cups on my white pants. I completely understand accidents happen. He handed me stain remover wipes and seltzer water, but that was it. I was shocked he didn't say much or let his manager know. He just handed us the bill like nothing happened. This trip to Bonefish Grill was specifically to check out their happy hour, which runs from 3:30-6:30 every day. For the happy hour they have $1 off tap beer, $2 off wine, and a variety of mixed drinks for $7, as well as some appetizer specials. We tried the margarita, a lemon drop blueberry martini, and a coconut pineapple concoction. The coconut pineapple one was the best and the lowest calorie option as well. We also tried their extra large bang bang shrimp ($15), and calamari ($7). The bang bang shrimp was a large portion and tasty. The calamari was a definite skip. It was tiny rings and completely flavorless. We get much better calamari at Bar Louie. I don't think this will be a happy hour we will frequent because for four of us with a total of 6 drinks, two portions of bang bang shrimp, and one flavorless calamari the bill was still $110. Not great happy hour pricing and not a great value. Bahama Breeze and Bar Louie have much better happy hours- prices, drinks, and food, and a more vibrant energy to enjoy the evening as well. We will still come here once or twice a year for dinner because it's very pretty inside and that is hard to find in Brevard County right now, but we will skip happy hour. read more

Those same people don't know any better and will surely disagree with me when I proclaim this place just another low-end chain restaurant--so prevalent in Brevard--that does not serve a single fresh item. Nothing, nada, zip, zilch, squadoosh! Ernie was our waitstaff and he was one honest young man. He was also prompt. I was thinking he might be a late entry into the Big Boy Top 5 service award until he went on break just before our food was brought out and we were forced to stare at the horrid slop put in front of us without recourse. When Ernie finally re-emerged from the netherworld and noticed the food had not been touched, he tried to get me to speak to a manager. However, at this point in my decanal dining out career, I have learned from dozens--if not hundreds--of experiences that when presenting an issue to a manager, he or she will just try to deflect and argue. Speaking to the manager is pointless. It's not like they are going to change their business plan, especially when the plan was made by a large corporate conglomerate cookie-cutter chain. My date ordered the Half-Pound BFG Burger. When she asked for it medium rare, Ernie insisted it could only be cooked well done, if that tells you anything. As for me, I ordered the Rainbow Trout with the Lemon Caper Butter Sauce, the Angler's Sirloin Steak, with sides of Bacon Mac & Cheese, and Seasonal Vegetables. Instead of telling you how everything was poorly executed, just let me say it all stunk and was freezer burned, including the steak. Blech! My inclination was to give this place .00001 of a Star. I only VERY generously gave this place 2.75 stars out of an abundance of pressure from my editor, and the recognition that as bad as it is, the food there is still better than most of the fare found in Viera. Service was poor from the start...we come often and there seemed to be a new group on duty...our server couldn't operate the tablet, so after taking our drink and app order twice she left to get another one. When she came back, she said she got the order in and so we placed our meals. I ordered a cup of chowder and a house salad. After 15-20 mins, she came out with bread and drinks. The bread was uncut which was tricky but we made do...then out came my chowder which was odd since we ordered bang shrimp with our drinks. I finished the chowder and out she came with my salad, except no shrimp on it....then along comes my husband's fish and chips-cold fries and no appetizer yet. At every juncture the waitress messed up, she apparently thought i meant the side salad vs what i ordered, forgot the bang shrimp app completely. That was the very poor service. The cold fries, lack of cut on the bread and over-sauced bang shrimp that finally arrived, I blame the kitchen. Normally the bang shrimp is hot and drizzled with sauce in a beautiful crisp tower and served with chopsticks-what we got was barely warm, the sauce was so thick you couldn't taste the shrimp and it was in a drippy, greasy pile. And it came after the entrees.
