Yesterday visit was as usual with a beatiful Welcome and professional and hospitable waitress, Yedry. The food this time was not up to the level we expected. The Flatbread was very good and well prepared. The Clam Chowder seemed like it was from yesterday, thick, heavy, and very difficult to taste. Fish and chips were all very overcooked. I was disappointed that the breading seems to have changed and now overpowers the shrimp flavor. In addition, the tartar sauce is different; it doesn't taste as good and is way too vinegary. Went here on Christmas Day. Super grateful that they were open. Staff were friendly, we got seated promptly and our server was very attentive. The place was nice and clean. Ordered a couple of appetizers and multiple entrees. The food was great, nothing to complain about at all. The grilled shrimp skewers were my personal favorite. We just got back from the Oakdale Red Lobster. It was slow and yet the floor was dirty with many straw covers on the floor. I watched, I believe, the manager walk past it several times without reaching down to pick anything up. The food was cold and not good and the service poor. My husband was craving shrimp. He said let's go to Red Lobster. We have not been here in years. My thought was, "Oh noooo not Red Lobster!" Then I read the Yelp reviews and most reviews confirmed my sentiments but I decided to go because my husband really wanted to. I invited another family to join us. I figured we'd have fun company in case the experience was horrible. Wellllll I was proven wrong. My husband made reservations. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately upon our arrival. James was our server. He took awesome care of us from beginning to end. His knowledge and recommendations were spot on. He was very attentive without being intrusive. He took our drink order and was very helpful with decisions on what we were wanting to quench our thirst. Shout out to the bartender!!! Our drinks were yummy and refreshing. Soon after our drinks arrived our Red Lobster biscuits arrived. Those well known cheddar biscuits were hot and yummier than I remember! Had an early dinner date with my wife today. The place wasn't overly busy. I enjoyed the Wood-grilled lobster shrimp and salmon w/ two sides of choice. I choose the Caesar salad and green beans. Only let down for me was the stale croutons. Everything else was great. There were some limitations on the menu. The Caesar salad was the only option. Didn't bother me one bit. The salad was well prepared with the perfect amount of everything. Our waitress, Jaclyn? Was fantastic. She was very understanding when my wife pointed out that her pound of crab legs may have been short since it was actually missing a leg or two. Was not a problem at all but the comp'd her a pound to make up for it. Like I said Jaclyn was amazing. Good experience overall. Booths and tables were socially distanced and everything seems clean. I wish I had seen the other reviews before coming here. I thought all red lobster restaurants were created equally, that is not true. Had a great experience at a different location a few weeks ago and decided to try the Woodbury location for my daughter's salmon fix. Our server was great. The food was disappointing on enough levels 2/3 our food bill was comped. The childrens meal came out on a 150-200F heated plate with so much liquid from the broccoli the chicken tenders were already soggy on the bottom. The salmon was made incorrectly the first time and came out later than all other food without the shrimp it was supposed to come with OR the 2nd side. The server and I apparently miscommunicated and my medium burger came out well. On the way out I paid more attention to the sign saying they need to hire 6-8 people. The experience all made more sense then. Place was 1/3 full at 6:30pm but it was clean. read more

I really want to give this place a 4 or 5 stars but there are a number of things they have to improve. Then it would be an easy 4.5 stars. Basically something for everyone as far as seafood goes. Drink menu has lotsa cocktails but lacking local beers on tap. Our seafood platter (see pic) was very good. The little cheese buns are always good. Their birthday treat and song is nice. As others have noticed, the waiting area is always crowded (we waited this time too) but there are a significant number of empty tables. They should give somebody a little sweeper and add "Tidy up around tables before new customers are seated" to their job description. Shrimp tails and other debris just gets swooshed off the table. They forgot my salad dressing and a number of lettuce chunks were getting brown (see pic). read more

My friend and I decided to eat here because she wanted a salad. I hadn't eaten all day, yet still wasn't feeling hungry. So, I got us added to the waitlist through the app and we walked in. We were told that the wait was an hour. I stated that we were already on the waitlist and was then told that our wait would be 30 minutes. We found that acceptable and sat down in the lobby. About 20 minutes later, we were escorted to our table. We started with the Dragon Broccoli. It was DELICIOUS! It had a nice kick to it and was light on the tempura batter. I will certainly get this again. My friend ordered a meal that included lobster tails, shrimp scampi, and scallop skewers. She also got a green salad. I got the shrimp combo of: Fried shrimp, shrimp scampi, and shrimp alfredo. Because we'd both eaten four biscuits each, we were feeling full, and ate very little of our main meal. Our waitress was really nice, patient, and funny. My friend is even pickier than I, so it took a bit for her to get what she wanted. I, for once, was the easy one. They have a limited selection of herbal teas, though the red rooibos is delicious. They don't have honey on the premises, either. I ate my meal a couple days later and it was tasty. Not necessarily against this Red Lobster but all of them as a chain. I've been repeatedly disappointed by Red Lobsters all over the country and this was just the nail in the coffin. I'm done paying over a hundred dollars for a lousy dinner with terrible food. Small portions, over cooked seafood, and expanding prices are all reasons I'm never going back. This particular place, we had a great waitress. She knew what was going on even when the hostess had no clue which way was up. They made us wait with a baby for 10 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant. I get that there wasn't much staff on duty yet, but bring us to a table so we can start getting settled in. We are already on a short time frame with the baby and that's why we went early. I'm just done with this place Update: I sent my complaint to RL corporate as suggested by the representative in the comment below. I received an apology and a gift card. I took my family a week ago back to this location to give it another shot. Once again our wait staff was great! My husband and I stayed away from any type of "ultimate feast" or its variations which has been a disappointing meal time and time again. We ordered a lobster Alfredo and lobster pizza and both were delicious! Even our 7 month old baby loved it. Again, the shrimp cocktail didn't seem great, but wasn't as bad as the last time. We will probably stop ordering that. HOWEVER, our experience was improved enough to raise my star rating from one to three. Hubby was thinking about going again tonight for the pasta again. My son's steak was over cooked and when he said something to Kevin about it , Kevin's response was "ok" and he walked away!!! We were never asked if we wanted dessert. I had asked for a refill on my pop and after 10minutes I asked another employee if he could get me a refill. The food was good but the absolutely lack of good service ruined our dinner. We were at Red Lobster on Thursday after a very stressful Dr appt. Our waiter's name was Anthony. Anthony was able to answer all questions we had with confidence. Because of the knowledge Anthony displayed we were able to order with full knowledge of the ingredients. Our expectations were exceeded! Anthony is the best! Aside from being menu knowledgable, he has a super sense of humor and sincere people skills. We loved him! Thanks for the great food and great service.
