First let me say this: I ONLY go to Red Lobster for Endless Shrimp. That's the event. That's the holiday. That's the whole reason I'm there. Took the family -- two adults, two kids -- and we all ordered the same thing for strategic reasons. If you know, you know. Here's the problem with Endless Shrimp: they bring you one refill at a time. You start with three shrimp choices, but after that it's basically a shrimp waiting simulator. My favorite is the scampi, and each little boat has around 8 shrimp. Sounds great... until you realize each refill takes around 10 minutes IF your server is really on point. So naturally, I had us all order Endless Shrimp so I could power-order four scampis at once like a financial advisor trying to maximize seafood investments. Even doing that, we were still there for TWO HOURS. My family was completely ready to leave while I was still mentally calculating shrimp-to-dollar ratios trying to "get my money's worth." For four people with drinks and a 20% tip, it came out to around $150. And honestly? I still somehow left not full. I counted around 48 shrimp total for myself and was sitting there like... "That's it?" LOL. Now don't get me wrong: * The shrimp was great as always. * Restaurant was very clean. * Bathrooms (men) was clean. (Women) not so clean. 4 stalls, 2 were dirty. Toilets needed to be flushed it was not a great experience for the women. No toilet paper either. * Service was okay -- just slower than it needed to be. * We actually had the entire restaurant to ourselves for about 45 minutes, which made the refill delays even more noticeable. Honestly, if you're doing Endless Shrimp seriously... sitting at the bar is the move. I've done that before and the refills come WAY faster. I ordered my meal via Uber Eats because I've never loved the interior/seating inside. I got an alleged pound of crabs legs with Cajun butter sauce and crispy potatoes. My side was orzo rice. The whole meal should have been better. The crab legs were the best part, but there was little meat. Some had no meat inside at all. The Cajun butter was slicing around in the tray and all over the crispy potatoes that were now getting soggy. The Cajun portion of the Cajun butter was kind of slopped on the crab legs. The visual was nothing you want to dip your crab meat in. I have to hope it's better with in-house dining. Perhaps the butter is separated from the potatoes and crab legs inside? The orzo rice was also a big fail. Let's pretend I didn't find a piece of plastic in my rice after trying ti eat it - which I did! But what I did try was very very Al dente. Hard and hard to chew! The cheddar biscuits were blah. It just wasn't what it should be. I've ordered this exact meal before and couldn't recall if there was an issue. I remember now and will forever more. Our party of two was practically alone. Arms, menus and phone stuck to the table. Manager explained the table had been refinished (not in recent years) and the surface becomes sticky with afternoon sun. Menu extensive, but very pricy. Service extremely slow. Was very nervous coming here based on the past reviews. I am from Florida so I am also equally as nervous eating at a seafood place so far from the ocean. But, I was pleasantly surprised!! We came here on a Friday night as a party of 3 had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The restaurant itself wasn't too busy so it must be a staffing issue. Tanisha was our server she was super fast, knowledgeable and very kind. She answered all of our questions and was super nice! The food came out super fast and hot. Well, I knew it was going to be a wait after reading the reviews. We were not in a rush anyway. We Walked right in a sat down. Cant best that, or can you? It took 10 minutes for the waitress to come get our order and even water. For a Saturday 6 pm I could already tell the staff was short. Then it took 53 minutes to get our food. The waitress forgot all about us, so we had to stop her and ask for more water. She was friendly but over worked. There must have been only 1 cook in the back. Other people next to us had problems getting their food and the manager tried to make it " on the house" for them because he felt bad. Our food was typical red lobster food with the highlight being the biscuits. Total time was 1 hour 50 minutes inside. If you have a date that you want lots of time together talking, it's perfect. Otherwise, plan to be there a long time. I read lots of other reviews just like mine and no I won't go to face book and do a personal message. The shrimp were very good too but after eating the deadly addicting biscuits they bring out and the lobster tail I was full. I ended up Bringing home the garlic butter shrimp. We visited red parents anniversary. The service was terrible. Three people in our party had their food and one person didn't get there till everybody was finished. Went to Spartanburg location on New Year's Eve. Server was friendly but we ordered a child's meal for 1 1/2 year old and did not receive until we were finished with our meal. Unacceptable ! Server said the reason it was late was they needed to cut the broccoli. Of course we were charged for child's meal. I ordered fish and chips. Fish was not hot, slaw was terrible as did not seem fresh and French fries not hot. There were four of us plus a child. The order of linguine looked soupy rather than creamy. Not the server's fault. Certainly expect more of this restaurant. Restaurant was not busy for a New Year's Eve and can see why. There are many good restaurants in Soartanburg and this one needs to up their quality or reduce prices if they are going to compete. Absolutley horrible. In complete honesty, this Red Lobster was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. We were seated at 5:57pm, and we got up out of our seats and left at 8:19pm. They had no clean cups so we got plastic cups with lids and no straws. We ordered the lobster dip as an appetizer and it took about half an hour, when we got it, we didn't receive any biscuits, and almost no dip at all. It was enough to go on four chips, one for each of us, and it costs nearly $20. We had to ask for the biscuits, we also ordered our entrees, and received the biscuits around 20 minutes later. Our food took an hour and a half to come out. We were left with empty cups quite a few times for a while. Our waiter had maybe 4 tables top, the resturant was pretty much deserted, and the table behind us had the exact same issue. When we received our food, they forgot my FIL's salad. Since it took so long, we didn't bother. We all started eating and it was fine, I had a huge order which came with skewered shrimp. They were covered in charcoal bits from the grill, and it was gummy on the inside and chewy on the outside. I spit it into a napkin immediately. My MIL ordered two drafts, when she asked for the second, it took half an hour and a reminder for her to receive it. My MIL and boyfriend had the endless shrimp and started with three dishes, when they finished them, our waiter was gone for almost half an hour. Eventually when he came back, My MIL said they were ready for more shrimp and the waiter said they were cooking and walked away before we could say anything.after another 20 minutes or so, he brought out four random shrimp dishes that they didn't order. We accepted two of them but declined the other two. The table behind us eventually asked for the manager. They got something taken off their bill and were pretty upset with their experience. After they left, I look over and they had a bowl of almost fully burnt Brussel sprouts. We asked for the manager and I told her everything, she said okay and left. We later received the check and she said she took 25 off of it and walked away. Instead of the $155 like it would have been without the discount, it was $40. They included the two endless shrimp but forgot the beers, me and my FIL's food. We decided not to say anything since it was an awful experience. We put down a $25 gift card and a debit card and waited 10 or so minutes before someone picked it up. Another 10-15 minutes later, our waiter came back and showed us a new receipt, which was now $145. They only took of $10 after everything too. We gave him two more $25 gift cards and just gave up and accepted it. Recieved the card back after 10 more minutes and left. While eating, I also saw a women rolling silverware, touching the forks prongs and the tip of the spoon and blade of the knife with her bare hands. Which she was only touching her phone screen with. Horrible service, pretty bad food, absolutely never coming back again. I know I sound like some crappy Karen who knows nothing about restaurants, but I have waitress and cook experience and know that stuff like that shouldn't happen. F*ck that sh**. Update: MIL ordered one beer at the bar and paid there, and then ordered the other at our table, and they ended up charging us for THREE beers on the bill, along with the salad that we never got. First time dining at this particular Red Lobster and it was not a good experience. First of all it was only 4pm and the place was not crowded, yet we were made to wait ten minutes for a "clean table". When we were seated the hostess had to wipe down the table. My wife and I ordered the same exact meal, and not only did it take almost forty minutes for the food to be brought out the server still managed to screw it up. Then he brought out a salad about fifteen minutes later. I informed him that we did not order a salad. To which he replied not to worry, it was on the house. My glass of tea stayed empty until I called our server over and asked for more. When he brought out another glass I then requested the bill. Now here's the real rub. I had already calculated the meal to cost $54 and some change, but the bill given to me indicated almost $67.00. On this bill was the salad, but even adding that in the bill should have only been a little over $58.00. So, I questioned the server. He left and upon return apologized and said he was given no choice but to charge for the salad, and the other $8.00 was for the two tiny cups of their nasty tasting lemon basil sauce. At this point I was to a boiling point and just paid the bill before I lost control and made a real scene that would have for sure involved police. Took us over an hour to get our food, then some of it was cold and the rest over cooked. Shrimp was hard as a rock and tails on them were white. Crab legs were definitely old and just recooked they didn't break they just bent in half. If you love seafood just go to RED CRAB it's cheaper and better quality.
