Horrible service, sat for a half hour with no one even greeting us or taking a drink order

Called ahead ordered lunch, for a few coworkers and myself. Uuummm spent about 52 bucks, they forgot my bosses soup that I paid for, they also didn't give me any utensils, just horrible. read more

We had a bait & switch situation tonight, @ the Red Lobster Springfield, the menu we ordered off of had a miss print and we did not know till the bill came, the server who was awesome by the way sent the manager "Peggy" over and she basically said we were lying and stated they would never print the menu wrong and when I asked her to look for it, our menu mysteriously disappeared! Peggy did nothing for us and all I can say now is Buyer Beware at this location!!! read more

This place has been going down hill for years. It's a shame because any other Red Lobster location that we have tried, it is still great, however this location is the closest to us. We were sat immediately when entering, which is rare here. We thought we were off to a good start. We sat at our table and our server walked over and said he'd be right there to take our drink order. We waited 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, he comes over with biscuits and takes our drink order. Lovely to have biscuits right away but with no drinks, it's hard to enjoy. We wait an additional 27 MINUTES to our drinks or to give our order! He was no where to be found!!! Finally comes over with drinks that he hands us like an octopus does with his fingers all over the rim of the glasses and gives us NO straws. We ask for straws, he says he will be right back. He comes back another 10 minutes later with straws and to take our order. Our salads come just as we were losing patience. At this time, our drinks were empty already since we waited so long for them and had biscuits. We eat our salads and wait for our food. Our food comes to the table from someone other than our server. We ask for refills. No one comes with refills. At first we are waiting before we eat our food so that we have a beverage until it was taking so long that I told my kids to eat their steak and pasta and chicken so it wouldn't get cold by the time we got a refill. My son had CAJUN pasta with chicken. His mouth was on fire and he was waiting for a refill of his drink (water only!) We finally saw someone in the corner cleaning off another table. I made my husband get up from our table, walk over to her and ask for refills. She came to our table, asked which drinks we needed and said she would send them right over. At this time, we were almost completely done our meals, never even saw our server at all come over and ask if everything came out ok, etc. I never received my side of broccoli that comes with my meal! Now I am finished my shrimp with no drink and never received my side. She leaves the table. About 5 minutes later, another man comes to our table with drinks. Not even a hello. Like he was now forced to deal with us. Thanks for the drinks now that we are finished our meals! Thanks for never bringing me part of my meal which comes with a side!! I watched numerous tables that were sat AFTER us who got their drinks before we even ordered one, who got to order their food before we were even greeted, who got their food before we ever did, etc. I stood up at one point from our table to look around the wall to see if any employee was working. Most gathered around the tv in the bar area watching basketball. What a HORRIBLE experience!!! We were in the car deciding where to go and I, of course, suggested this place to my family since we are a fan of Red Lobster. I felt like it was my fault that my family had an awful dinner! No "I'm sorry" Nothing!! It is NOT NORMAL to go out to eat and wait 27 minutes for ANYTHING with no server in site. I can promise you, I don't care how convenient it is, I will NEVER go back to this place again. NEVER. It's like they didn't even care that we were in there! I had to stop my husband from getting up and finding someone and getting angry. The kids were nervous that their food would be spit on if he did. read more

All I can say is do not go here on a Sunday! The church crowd is in full throttle with screaming babies to boot--pretty much a guaranteed hour wait and heavy noise once you are seated. Go on the weekdays instead, especially in the early evening hours (4-6). In my experience, you are seated and served quickly, and it's quiet! For the most part, the servers have been excellent, and some have been outstanding. One server kept replenishing our drinks and biscuits without my having to ask, and he gave some extra biscuits for the road! Since I'm a creature of habit, there are certain foods that I consistently order here: Caesar salad, grilled shrimp, baked potatoes, sirloin, and broccoli. I've been going here for about three years. Yes, I know, it's a chain. But come on, each store in a chain can have some personality, and this one, I would argue, distinguishes itself through its quality service. read more

The quality and portions has went down significantly. Paid $27 for a little strip of salmon that I very well have gotten for 5.99, and two very small crab cakes which I've could have went to shoprite and brought lump crab meat for 16.99 which would have made a good 10 cakes that size. Three strikes you're out!!! Had my last bad experience at The Red Lobster in Springfield tonight. They are just the worst. Did not enjoy the never-ending shrimp deal at all. Had 2 helpings & was there 2hrs. There was a 30 min wait for each refill, appetizers & to get the check. And my Baked Potato was cold. Other waitresses were right on point, orders out in a timely manner but our waitress....will never visit that location again!!!! Dined with family for it was my grandsons 9th bday, informed the waitress,no happy bday song or anything but other bdays being celebrated there today were acknowledged. Heard wait staff sing a couple of times to other patrons. Just Horrible!!! No More!!!!! read more

My husband and I went for dinner a few days ago, after waiting 30 minutes for a table I was hoping for a good meal. It was awful. The food was terrible. I normally font eat here but I thought I would give it a try. Well I shouldn't of. The only reason I have three stars is because our waiter Mark was great. read more

My family and I went here for a graduation celebration on a Tuesday. It was a party of 7. When we arrived we were told 45 minutes wait. Fine! That 45minutes turned into 2 hours which turned into us leaving. The host started telling guest that no food is coming out of the kitchen and the waiters are not taking orders if they was to sit anyone. I believe the workers went on strike. I use to love this location because it is closer to home but the next time we want Red Lobster, we will be traveling far where there is better serve. I personally believe everyone that was working that day needs to be fired! Including the Manager who gave us a $20 gift card for the wait. read more

The service was terrible! We waited 20 minutes before our server even came to the table then another 20 for our drinks even though it was dead. When ordering, we told our server that we would want to put some stuff in to go and she said she would take that later. We never received our salads. When we finally put in our go-to order with out dessert order, we were told 20 minutes later that they wouldn't be able to make it because the kitchen was closed. We had told her to put our salads in with the to-go order. We also didn't receive our dessert so we had to tell them to just box it up to go which took another 15 minutes. We never received our salads. We had to ask the manager for our check after speaking with him regarding the most horrendous service I have ever had at a restaurant. Also make sure you review your check since mine was way off including the pricing. It is like the waitress changed the numbers to make the check higher. Save yourselves. Don't go here!!! read more

Went in for early dinner with family. We all were exicted for Lobster Fest. Food was great and fast. Service was great and place very clean. The trick here is to go early because place can get nuts later. Prices could be cheaper because spec things on sale were really not cheap. read more

My family and I visited Red Lobster yesterday 10/27/2013. We went to grab a meal for dinner. We were seated quickly a plus! Our waitress even asked the chef to prepare a meal for me that had been removed from the menu. Now, thereafter, is where the experience took a turn for the worse! Our appetizers came out barely warm, not hot at all. We ate one and took the other to go. Our waitress did stop in to check on us, but I've learned a long time ago, you do not send food back to the kitchen..... Well, we didn't have much of an appetite by the time our food came out ~ yes it took that long. As a result, we decided to take our entrees to go. Well today, we open our entrees for lunch and what did we find.....a molded biscuit. Yuck! As I attempted to eat my entree from yesterday, I discovered the lobster was dried out like it was old and not fresh at the time of initial serving. I don't go to Red Lobster often, but this is reason enough not to rush back. Molded biscuits like really??? 11/3/13 after speaking with Niño the Manager, we decided to accept the offer to return today for a complimentary meal the way it is suppose to be done! Well today, exactly one week later, we returned. The service was incredible. While there was a little wait to be seated, everything else couldn't have been better. Alisha was our server and she was incredible. We received our food hot and timely. We will return thanks to Niño and his team. Job well done. I will never come back to this place. There have been too many times where the service was horrible. I was just here last night and everything took forever! I try to be understanding given that they may be understaffed but my food and drinks were terrible. I order a mango Mai Tai which tasted like juice and crab cakes that were way too salty. I refuse to keep spending my money on subpar service. I used to love Red Lobster, but they have gone downhill over the years. They have a lot of improvements to make. read more

This is the third time ordering take out from this location. Every single time things were missing. Baked potato was missing and biscuits were missing. The staff were cursing at one another across the bar at the pickup location. We ordered biscuits there were none. There were 2 sides of shrimp and shrimp with 3 main orders and we only received one cocktail sauce. The bags were all seperate and the woman behind the bar informed the kitchen staff for another order there are 2 orders exactly the same she needs both. They never made the second order because only a manager can authorize 2 of the same order in a row and the kitchen staff will not listen to the wait staff. This conversation was going on right around me a paying customer. I tried to give my order number to get my order and was told she can't do it that way has to have the name so i had to call home and get that as well. All and all ridiculous service. Only one person behind the bar doing the job of 2 ppl and was not reviewing reciepts with customers and checking the bags. All and all a failure on every level. read more

I love red lobster! It was my first time going there in December and it was amazing. The fish was really good and well cooked. The appetizers are delicious such as the mushrooms and the garlic rolls are the best! I'm so happy that I went there and the waitress was really nice! read more

September 8 2018. This restaurant will Give you the worst experience of your life. My fiancé and I dined there today (9-8-18) and I ordered the endless shrimp. Our biscuits was not delivered to the table until well after our food came. When the refill of my shrimp came, there was paper all in my food.. I notified the runner that there was paper in my food and he just reached in my food, grabbed the paper out and walked off expecting me to still eat it. I was in complete shock. When I asked for the manager she took atleast 25 minuets to come to the table and once she got there she acted like it was not that big of a deal. The food wasn't even taken off the bill. On another note, every table in our section was left uncleaned from the time we walked in. We sat at our table for 50 minutes and the tables were never cleaned.. The restrooms are ALWAYS disgusting. The smell of urine hits you as soon as you walk in and none of the supplies are ever stocked. If you believe you deserve horrible customer service than this is the place for you. read more

Last week was my first experience at this location, and the second time I've eaten at a Red Lobster. The first time being in the late 1980s at a RL in Michigan when I was a teenager and my parents paid. Last week was for a party for my wife's aunt, and her boyfriend paid. I don't remember my Reagan era dinner, but the meal I had was just not very good, and thankfully free. First of all, some good things. The restaurant was very clean. The decor was nice as well. Also, the wait staff was excellent. It was a party of about 20 on a late Sunday afternoon. They were quick with drinks, and attending to our needs. The certainly hustled. Kudos to them. Plain and simple, the food just didn't taste fresh. Some of the appetizers left a lot to be desired. Nacho crab dip? Buffalo wings? What is this? Applebees? Seriously, for a "fancyish" (?) seafood place, having appetizers like you are at a bar or pub is strange. The entrees again, in many cases seemed like Applebees. The food while not terrible, just wasn't very good. I ordered the Salmon, with some shrimp thrown on top. The Salmon seemed like it was pre-frozen. Dry, and tasteless, even with the cream sauce thrown on top. The few shrimp were small. My wife's fish tacos were OK. Again, something that you would get at TGI Fridays. Very mid-level chain like. It is what it is, I guess. Just glad my wife's boyfriend paid and not me. Then I would have been really upset. Free? Just a shrug. read more

I work in the restaurant business, so I get it, sometimes you can have an occasional bad experience. But I had a large party with me, it was prearranged. The service was terrible from the entrance to the check and everything in between. There was no host to greet our get things started, when someone finally did appear it was just to tell us that someone would be with us soon. When we finally got to the tables they were still being hurriedly pushed together, there wasn't enough chairs or silverware. When we ordered drinks they came out wrong, multiple times. Then the food...not only did we have to wait over an hour from the time we ordered, but some of the food was cold, and one of my party was forgotten completely. The waitresses were rude, did not bring refills or check back with us at all. I have never had a server cussing under their breath as they served guests. It's deplorable. Don't go here unless you want to be insulted, cold food, and incorrect drinks. read more

we have a party of 7 adults. the hostess sat us at a table usually for 6 and pulled up an extra chair to put at one end of the table. it is no where near busy in there. the area where she sat us is empty and when asked if there's a bigger table she said we don't have a lot of servers because it's almost closing time. I asked what time do you close she says 10pm so I asked my sister to see what time it currently was...it was only 6:44pm...we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable so we left. read more

First off, let me say I looooovee Red Lobster. You can ask anyone I know and they'll say Red Lobster is my favorite restaurant. Well, was my favorite restaurant depending on which one I go to, I guess. My husband and I decided to go one evening for dinner, he wanted some crab legs and I love seafood in general. He didn't feel like driving all the way out to King of Prussia, Pa so we decided on this one. When we first got there they said the wait was 15 minutes or so but we were called within 5 minutes. The restaurant was crowded, a Saturday evening, but we were seated in a section that was basically empty, maybe three couples, and looked, (mind you, looked) clean. We sat down and within 2 minutes our waitress acknowledged us, she was cleaning off another table, and said she would be with us soon. Very Good. She came back within 2 minutes and took our drink orders, Very Good. While we were sitting there waiting for our drinks to come out, my husband saw it first, a mouse! He first started off under a booth all the way across the room and started coming closer, booth by booth. Then he stopped and actually came out from under the booth and stood there in the middle of the floor for a while, like he was saying, Where am I going to go next. I am deathly afraid of mice and told him we had to leave right when the waitress came back with our drinks. After I took my feet down from my chair I ran out of there. I later found out from my husband that the waitress apologized and she also ran back to the kitchen. Okay maybe not ran but walked real fast! read more
