The seafood boil addition got our attention. Red Lobster was on our radar to revisit! We are traveling and stopped into this location for dinner. Incredibly clean and well decorated. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server came right to the table to grab our drink order. She was very kind and returned with drinks and the much adored biscuits quickly! While we were chatting and munching on the biscuits the manager was making rounds in the dining area-he was kind and we enjoyed our chat with him. My daughter got the Mariner's Boil includes a Maine lobster tail, snow crab legs, a dozen shrimp, red potatoes, and corn. She got the Garlic butter flavor. She said it was really good-would order again and ate every single thing in the bag! She was pleasantly surprised to have two lobster tails. I had the fish and chips, hard for me to pass on a good cod and my dinner was super tasty. Their coleslaw and tartar sauce had great flavor also. We had a very disappointing experience at Red Lobster tonight. We had a 7:30 reservation but were not seated until around 8:00. After ordering, our server let us know the kitchen was backed up and that food would likely take about an hour. We appreciated the heads up. However, our meals didn't arrive until around 9:30, which was still longer than expected. When my wife's seafood boil came out, it was missing all of the shrimp. The server apologized and had replacement shrimp brought out. Unfortunately, the replacement shrimp were cold, and one piece was undercooked. My wife is pregnant, so being served undercooked seafood is a serious concern. I ordered the surf and turf. The steak was undercooked and had a noticeable fishy taste. The lobster was also not good. To the server's credit, he was clearly overwhelmed but remained professional throughout the night and comped my wife's meal because it came out without the shrimp. He was doing his best in what appeared to be a kitchen and management issue. The main problem was food quality and execution. Long delays, missing items, and undercooked seafood are not acceptable, especially when food safety is involved. We will not be returning. read more

I requested two waters immediately because my body was running exclusively on dust and vibes, and Keegan just materialized them without hesitation, judgment, or a single follow-up question. Icon behavior. Five stars for hydration awareness alone. Food was great across the board with one very small hiccup. It was handled quickly, kindly, and with the kind of calm competence that makes you feel like everything is under control. Before the nation wide attempt, to restore customer satisfaction, the Waco R L had been struggling, with lack luster employees, a 20-30 minute wait, when empty tables were visibly available & lack luster entrees. We decided to give them another chance & went to try their Lobster Fest menu. First, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who seated us immediately. A friendly, personable waitress, Rhonda, was a joy to have as our table host. We ordered a seafood plate with salmon, a split lobster tail & a grilled skewer on 6 shrimp. The array of fish was served over a bed of rice, with "cooked just right", broccoli, as the side veggie. We shared the meal, opting to order the coconut shrimp appetizer, served with their delicious pineapple cream dip .. we always order more of that dip, to eat with our other fish entrees. ALL of the fish were perfectly prepared & the serving of salmon appeared to be about 8-10 ounces, plenty big to satisfy a big appetite or to the share. Of course, the biscuits were oh-so-good & our entire meal was delicious! The restaurant was clean & comfy, and we were pleased to see more customers coming in, seated immediately & appearing to enjoying their entrees. Red Lobster has always been one of my favorites. The last two or three times we stopped at this one I said I wasn't coming back as long as that manager was still there he is awful! Customer service has been terrible but the food was still ok. Today we stopped in after not going for 6 months. Well he is still there customer service is still bad BUT now the food is the worst I have ever seen from any restaurant. I paid $64 for me and my daughter to eat and neither one of us could eat the food my fish was slimy and undercooked her chicken was cooked so long she couldn't cut it. It was without a doubt the worst meal I have ever laid eyes on. I took one bite and it still made me sick. The biscuits were fresh and delicious the cheese sticks were good. I'd recommend not being swayed away over the rest of these reviews! I believe they reformed a bit better since these last reviews, I was pretty skeptical after reading some of the responses at first. I planned on taking my boyfriend out for a casual, but somewhat nicer date night and decided to go for it here. Overall, I was pretty satisfied and very happy with the customer service and food! We had plenty of people come and check on us, the manager, Scott even came by to help us navigate some new technology and told us about some of the promotions they had. Our server was very kind and checked up on us a good amount. She made sure that we made the right decision for the foods so we didn't get anything we weren't expecting. My boyfriend wanted the Maine Lobster Bite, but she warned him that he probably wouldn't be full because it was probably smaller than he expected, so she gave us some more time to think about our meal choices. The food was pretty good. I'm a huge seafood person, and I mean it's Waco, don't expect right out of the ocean fresh kind, but I left with a full belly and no food poisoning so :) I got the unlimited shrimp ($15 on Monday's with two sides!!!), and my boyfriend had a combo with the salmon and two sides, coleslaw and a baked potato. Although it's been years since I've been to a Red Lobster, I was excited for tonight's dinner. With that being said, I won't be back again. I started off by unwrapping my silverware only to discover two dirty forks and a dirty knife. It instantly killed my vibe, but quite frankly my fault as I keep telling myself to bring my own flatware to restaurants. I then ordered the lobster bisque soup for an appetizer- First, the soup came with a spoon and lo and behold DIRTY! There was a dry piece of food (red) that was blatantly visible so I don't understand why the staff didn't catch this before bringing me the plate. I kindly asked for plastic flatware and they obliged. Second, as I started to lightly sift through my soup, I realized there were no chunks of lobster so my husband asked the waitress if there was any lobster meat in the soup and she said that unfortunately decisions were made to remove actual lobster meat from the soup due to how expensive it is and that it is only "lobster flavored". Quite disappointing seeing as the menu described it as "lobster bisque" not "lobster-flavored bisque". I find that to be quite misleading and as my grandpa said, "tacky". Luckily I immediately handed the soup back to the waitress and the soup was not added to the bill. I ordered the fish and chips for my main entree and it was okay. There were 7 empty tables on our side of the restaurant so I knew they must be short on wait staff again. Just yuk. Haven't been here in a while because the last time we came it wasn't very good. My 16yo wanted something different so we gave it a try. He liked his lobster bisque and mahi mahi. My daughter and I did not like the lobster bisque, the crab in it was fishy. I had the grilled feast and did not care for it. The shrimp did not taste fresh so I gave them to my daughter and she didn't like them either. My scallops were ok but that was after I put lemon on them. The salmon was ok. After two weeks in a row trying to get a table here and failing, we won't be trying again. Last Saturday we went at 5:30 pm and were told an hour + wait time even though the restaurant was only about 20% occupied. This Saturday we went earlier, at 4:30 pm, and we were told it would be at least a 50 minute wait and this time the restaurant was only about 10% occupied at most! One star....arrived 5:45 on a Monday. Walk in, see most tables empty, yet two groups waiting to be seated (one group of 3, one of 2....my group had 3). Hostess says 15 minute wait?? So, we sit. She looks around & after ten minutes, seats first group of 3. After 20 minutes, we leave & go across to BJ's, which is much more crowded, & are seated immediately. I don't know if Red Lobster is running out of shrimp, understaffed, or simply doesn't want to fill their tables, but we won't be back. If you want seafood in Waco you have two choices... Red Lobster or Long John Silvers. Truth be known, I actually wanted Cathay House for dinner but they are closed on Mondays. I spent a long weekend in Waco and dinner was on the agenda before heading back to Dallas late Monday evening. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table of three because they were that far behind in cleaning tables. Once they started to direct us to a table we ended up standing there a few extra for a clean booth as they tried to seat us at a table between two tables full of kids. Um, no. First thing off the bat. I ordered a Boston Iced Tea and was told that they were out of Oranges, which although used as a garnish, squeezing it really completes this drink. We had to wait a few extra minutes for Cheddar Bay Biscuits, but when they came out they were so hot they were falling apart. By far the best biscuits I have had at a Red Loster in a long time. My parents both ordered the Walt's Fried Shrimp. I attempted to order the Maui Luau Shrimp and Salmon, again was told that they were out of Salmon as that was the featured fish the day before for Father's Day. I quickly had to figure out what to order while my parents ordered their meals. I settled on the Honey-Citrus Seafood Grill which was two skewers of jumbo shrimp and a skewer of sea scallops, fire-grilled and brushed with a honey-lemon glaze. Served over wild rice pilaf. Can you say STICKY? Trying to pull those shrimp off of the skewers or trying to remove the shell off of the tail... I had the honey-lemon glaze all over my fingers. So annoying. When it came time to end the meal... Guess What? Yep, they were out of to go boxes too. This was probably a 3.5 star visit based on food and service... but I'm not rounding up when your management is too stupid to buy enough product to successfully get you to your next truck delivery day. Let me start by saying I am a seafood fan and I grew up loving the shrimp dishes from here. About two years ago my wife and I took our in laws or to eat at this location. The food was okay, a little above average but my expectations are never high for a chain. After we finished our meal, we noticed a roach on the booth. My wife was not happy. Complaints were taken to the manager but answered with arguments and finally ended with a $10 gift card. We didn't go back for over 2 years. Flash forward to tonight. We were out close by and had been to BJs recently, we decide to give them another shot. Ordered three lobster tacos, my wife got chicken pasta, and my daughter Mac and cheese. The food was pretty good, and no roaches in sight this time, unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for any food. (Which my toddler was not happy about). When we walked out the door it was an 1 and 45 minutes later. This isn't the first time this happened at a restaurant, but most of the time the wait staff is apologetic and sometimes the manager would come out to apologize... apparently not here though. I usually don't like Red Lobster, and this restaurant just solidified how I felt. The food I got was not sea food, so I figured it wasn't going to be too hard to get right. The pasta I got was dry, and lumped together (Like it was made hours before and just sat under a heating lamp.) I wasted a ton of money to go here with my husband for our anniversary dinner. I was extremely disappointed that I wasted my money on this crap food. The sea food was well done and taken care of (so that my husband didn't get sick from it I assume.) the shrimp was tender and tasty. So I'm glad that my husband liked his food.
