Red Lobster is honestly over hyped and over priced. Their portions are not very generous and the flavors are either bland or overseasoned/salty. I haven't been to Red Lobster in years, but my family decided to all meet there when we visited. We love snow crab and 3 out of 4 of us ordered that. They were very tasty as expected, but one of the orders arrived without any claws and missing a few other legs. It was a full order, but upon arrival I thought it was the half extra order one of us added to our meal. It wasn't so we sent it back and they added legs to it. Met some family members here for dinner. They have infant seats available. The parking lot may get crowded, but it's by the mall, so it wasn't too hard to find extra parking within walking distance. The restrooms are also well-maintained & have multiple stalls. I was able to find some vegetarian-friendly items on the menu, like house salad, green beans, carrots, all of which were on the menu listed under "sides". Could not tell you if the food was fit to eat or not. There were two (yes 2) of us and there were not five full tables in the house. The hostess said it would take 10 minutes or so to get us a table ready. I thought she was joking and questioned her. HOW DARE I. After the dirty look and her prancing off to the dining area we waited for the next hostess who was a manager to come up. This was quite possibly the WORST restaurant experience I've EVER had. Usually, I like Red Lobster, been to a few in other places that have been really great. But the one in Waco has terrible service. We went in and they told us it was going to be a 30 minute wait, which would have been fine had it actually been thirty minutes. We ended up waiting over an hour for a table, then by the time we got to the table it took them another thirty minutes just to come get our drink orders. By the time we had gotten our food, it had been 2 hours and our food wasn't even correct. They messed up on all our orders. When we talked to the manager about it, he was short with us, and just flat out rude. Despite the fact that we were very polite when we spoke with him. I can guarantee that we won't be going back there ever again. And if you want good service or good food, I highly recommend that you don't go there either. read more

On Friday 1/18/2019 my family went to Re Lobster for an evening meal about 6:45 pm. when we arrived everything was ok until we were seated at our table. when asked about our drinks I notice there was no sugar or sweet n low at our table or and tables near us so Myself order unsweet tea and also asked for sweet n low. well when our drinks arrived I had to ask again for sweet n low. I got it after about 5 minutes later. then the next thing was we received our meal, but then I had to ask about our salads, we never got before our meal. She said she will be right back with our salads. but we order all the Admiral's Feast. so not rushing to eat we ate and after about 3/4 of our meal is gone we got our salads. Tonight family came from Dallas, spent 100 dollar there, and it was just terrible. walked in, had to wait. Host was NOT the friendliest, server took forever to come over, food took forever (server blamed kitchen) then at the end server asked if we wanted our dessert to go ... like what? why not just tell us to gtfo lol. I have always loved Red Lobster. But, today I was totally disappointed. Given other restaurants and how they are handling the virus stuff. First off, the prices were terribly increased, the food that was offered was mediocre at best. I was with a group that they separated into two tables completely away on sides of room, they could have put us closer, but didn't and later while we sat there, let other people sit in tables that they told us were off limits, closer to our other folks. They were only offering a one page menu that anything you wanted they were out of. And last but not least, we had to use that stupid machine to pay our bill at the table instead of waitress taking care of it for us. Customer service? What stinking customer service. My suggestion, if you don't want to be raked over the coals, don't go while they are in this condition. Bummer. read more

We used to go all the time! ! However the last time we went there was a very nasty smell like old fish and weeks of old trash, and we waited for 15 before we walked out. My fiancée and I went to this Red Lobster about 7 months ago and it was pretty good. Tonight when we went again the service was awful. For a fairly empty restaurant it should not have taken 15 minutes for a drink refill, which was still 5 minutes after we asked the manager for one. I went to Red Lobster on Friday, April 27 to order take out for an early dinner at 4:30 pm for me and my parents. I was told to go to the bar to order. There was a women at the bar at the register. She did not greet me or say I will be with you in a moment or acknowledge I was there seeking services. I waited 10 minutes and finally asked if I could please place an order. She called for a waiter. I ordered several items and asked for recommendations. The waiter was pleasant. However, he provided me with my ticket and told me I could pay when I was ready. I immediately pulled out my card and while reviewing my incorrect order he left to help someone else. I patiently waited another 10 minutes and finally requested help because my order was wrong. He came back and clarified the order. He printed it out a second time. Again it was wrong. I had ordered a chicken Caesar salad and he ordered shrimp. He disappeared for 25 more minutes and I could not find anyone to help me. Finally there was a young man that came in and I asked if he could help. He grab the waiter and the ticket was run a 3rd time. I was told he was sorry, but given no ETA on when my food would be ready, offered a drink while I waited, or offered any reasonable comp, or offered to talk to the manager. The waiter came in and out of the bar while I was sitting there. He avoided eye contact and did not offer me any idea when my food would be ready. After waiting 45 minutes I asked if someone could please help me and get my food for me. I was kind and patient. Finally I received my food based on my flagging someone down to bring me the order and offered no comments of we are so sorry this has happened. My waiter disappeared and I was super disappointed in the lack of service I received. When I arrived home with the food my parents told me they had been there on Sunday after church for lunch and their fish was served raw. Sounds like this franchise has not only major customer service issues, but all around issues with cooking etc. I will never spend my hard earned dollars at this place. My friend came into town so we decided to hang out with out other friend. We decided to get lunch at Red Lobster because we all wanted seafood. We was promptly seating to a dirty table that had crumbs under the table, on the table and on the seat. There was a Bissell rolling vacuum next to the table so I decided to vacuum the carpet under the table as it desperately needed it. The host was like I can never get that thing to work. I swept the crumbs off the table and seat. Our waiter Christian was prompt, attentive and courteous. However his uniform was dirty. The salads were soggy and tasted old. It took at least 45 minutes to get biscuits. My meal was disgusting and so were my friends food. I order the Ultimate Feast with broccoli, crab legs, lobster, fried shrimp and sauteed shrimp. All of the shrimp was bland with no favor. The crab legs was cold. The lobster was white as in NO seasoning. The broccoli looked like a dried up mess. One friend got the lobster linguine which she said was so bland salt and pepper could not help it. My other friend got the salmon with stuff shrimp and a baked potato. She said the stuffing was mushy bland and disgusting. I think this location only cater to old people who likes bland food because that is all that was in the restaurant at the time. I informed the waiter and manager of the bland food. The manager offered something else however I feel like it would have been the same. We all left more that half of our meal on the table. The manager took the $10 off my meal. My other friends did not speak up about their complaints. The only good thing of the meals was my friends company and the drinks. Ate dinner there a week ago with my wife. Server was very efficient. My wife ordered a steamed fish she says was excellent. I only wanted fried fish and shrimp and couldn't find it on the menu. Server said it was on the lunch menu and I could order from there. I am not a complainer but the fish and especially the tiny shrimp Were served limp As if frozen and placed in the microwave before serving. Nothing like gulf shrimp Which I was counting on. Went on a Wednesday night and waited 18 minutes for a table. As I waited in the lobby there were at least a dozen tables available. Our server did a good job, but the food was mediocre at best. Family's meal came out without mine. Server returned 5 min later with mine. Snow crab legs were great, scampi could have been warmer as well as the lobster. I can't believe I am writing this review. I just have to though because I am kinda sick to my stomach and just got home. I ordered a Parmesan encrusted tilapia with 2 sides and a Caesar salad. The salad came and I mixed it around, but what I found was literally rotten salad inside my bowl in the center. I picked out the rotten pieces that were dark brown and soggy and wilted, I even wiped off the dressing to make sure I was seeing it right---about half the salad was picked out. The entire bowl tasted rancid. My waiter came and I explained the issues and I was shocked by his reaction. He didn't look at my rotten salad pile and didn't apologize or offer anything, instead he stepped back and said, "okay, what do you want me to do about it?" I ordered a third side instead and he moved on. No manager was ever seen in the whole place, so I didn't report it to one. Then, my entree came. While the fish was fully cooked and hot, it appeared that the "encrusted Parmesan" part was an after thought. The breeding was only on one side and completely raw and tasted like it was tossed on top. The fish tasted like plain tilapia, which is very flavorless. It was the most disappointing $20 meal. I told the waiter about my fish and he was all, "I don't know what you expect, but that is how it comes." And with that he walked away. I will never go back to this store again. read more
