Nice little relaxed sushi spot to try if you're in the area. They don't have you waiting so long to get your food and presentation was clean. Good amount of food worth the price (not expensive). The menu has a lot of different items to choose from. Appetizers- edamame, egg rolls and dumplings. Came out quickly at the right temperature and great flavor. Their side sauces are just yum. * The Hawaiian shrimp is a *must try* with white rice to even out the flavor. It's not too sweet and the shrimp tastes just so fresh. The oysters were almost perfect, one of them had an aftertaste. Besides that they were delicious. Came out cold with the sauce which some might find a bit sweet but add lemon and salt, siracha if you like spice, and you're good to go. Fried rice combination is not a good choice, get one protein only, pork was good. The cold green tea is the perfect drink to pair with the food. Sushi: philly crunch-5, tiger roll-8, black dragon-9, hot night-6, dynamite-3(too fishy, scallops might have been the problem), classic philly roll-7(too much philly), coconut shrimp roll-7, heart attack-10 (if you like raw jalapeño has a good mix of flavors that just blend with each other) and at the top spot of perfection for #1, my favorite *must try* the ceviche roll (flavor was spot on, ingredients proportioned perfectly without any overpowering the mix, not too spicy but does have a kick). Our server was Hannah, great person. Positive energy, good attitude, very kind and stayed attentive. She moves quick when it gets busy, taking care of everyone on her own without any problems. Idk how she was able to stay on top of it all around keeping everyone happy. This woman deserves a raise working that hard and not once did she stop smiling and welcoming people, kept up the good energy that makes you want to come back. Stopped by this spot in the High Desert on the way back from a work trip! Tucked in a shopping plaza and offers a wide variety of international Asian cuisine... from Korean and Thai to Chinese and Japanese. The interior is cozy and has plenty of seating, with long tables for larger parties. There's a sushi bar area where you can watch the chef in action, though it was closed when we arrived around 4:30 PM. Ordered the Chicken Pad Thai to split, definitely a shareable portion for two. Leaned on the saucier side and had less egg and bean sprouts than I'm accustomed to, but it still hit the spot for a much-needed carb boost. Served with a lemon wedge on the side for a zesty finish, and it also came with a side salad and dressing. As visitors to Phelan, we had to try their Phelan Sushi roll! Topped with onion and rolled in with spicy tuna, possibly dressed with the same slightly tart sauce as the salad. Super flavorful, and I appreciated that the rice wasn't overly thick, so you could really enjoy the fish. They had a good alcohol selection, from wine and beer to soju, but we stuck with water for the long drive home. Fun fact: The stylistic artwork on the walls was painted by the owner himself... such a unique touch! read more

Some of the menu items are yummy (like the sesame chicken, some of the sushi), but the portions & price feel like I'm getting scammed.. and poke nachos were garbage. $20 for a handful of chicken, you probably get as much (maybe more) chicken in the 2-item combo at the Chinese joint across the street (and the quality is the same, sometimes the Chinese place is better quality - got some pretty rank chow mein from here). And I don't think you can really blame it on "oh maybe it was an off day" because the manager/owner always seems to be there. The only friendly staff is the lady who works the register, overall weird vibes.. they're friendlier with the white customers. read more

And I was celebrating my birthday which we were given complimentary green tea ice cream and a mochi ice cream. Restaurant was clean and neat and orderly. Service was great and timely! Where do I start? This used to be the hidden gym of the desert one of my favorite restaurants to go to. We ordered a family meal for three when we got home. There was barely any meal in there. There was enough food for two adults when I called back to complain about the food they told me in this economy they had to make the portion smaller I asked, so you raise the price and make them smaller they said yes The quality of food has went way downhill. $11 for 6 crab wontons. Wouldn't be that bad if they tasted good but they are the worst tasting crab wontons I've ever had. Dry. Over cooked. Filling taste horrible. I get prices have gone up but the portions are small for the prices. The 1 protein with 1 thing of rice (which isn't even full) is $15! And the proteins aren't even good. The orange beef was so dry and hard to chew. The picture of the plate with shredded looking meat is the orange beef after I attempted to eat a piece. Because we were waiting for takeout we ordered a Kirin Ichiban beer. They misinterpreted as I wanted two Ichiban sushi rolls and they charge me for them. So I let them know immediately this is not what I ordered I wanted two Ichiban beers and their response was well I already charged you for them. So I said fine charge me for them I'll take them even though I didn't order them. And then on top of it for the $14 poke nacho plate, This is what we got. I'm calling crap on this.
