A small chinese restaurant right at the four corner gas station complex in Snead ferry. The restaurant has two tables and it's main business is carry out food. The amount of food is collosal compared to the price you pay. The cashier and staff are very friendly people. I always make sure to tip decent whenever i picked up my food. The taste of the food is just ok to me, not a lot of flavor, I have been to many chinese restaurants before so i am a bit familiar with the food. There are only two chinese restaurants in the area and i like this one much better because of the food and the amount of wait time which almost non existent in this place. Decent Chinese joint with a menu that will blow your mind. There is SO MUCH shit on it! I went for my staple.. The Kung Pao Shrimp & crab rangoon. The Husband always goes for the General Tso Chicken and we have also tried the sesame chicken.. its delicious and not too ridiculously priced. I usually get the kung pow chicken combo prices are fantastic, customer service is good, and they are good hard working people trying to make it. Portion size is huge and $7.50 goes very far. Despite what Yelp currently reads, this is NOT a restaurant that delivers. That being said it was decent Chinese food. My vegetables were cooked well but, the sauce was very watery and not very flavorful. The vegetable egg rolls were pretty good but greasy and the fried rice was good. read more

BEST PLACE FOR ASIAN FOOD. EVER. PERIOD. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. It's a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place. I always get it to go and take it home. They do have a few tables in the restaurant, but it's really more of a takeout place. Their sweet and sour sauce is by far the best I've had. Sweet and sour chicken and sweet and sour shrimp are my two favorites. Their pork fried rice is AMAZING. Crab Rangoon AMAZING. I've tried five or six main dishes and they all were outstanding. Their portions are generous and you definitely get your money's worth. Anything I've ordered I usually end up saving half for the next day. The people that work there are really nice. I am finally signing up for this site just to post this review. I grew up in Jacksonville, on number 1 Chinese across from the high school. Yeah, you know the one. It was the best Americanized Chinese food ever!!! For really reals. I thought of it all the time when I left. I traveled the world & made my way almost back home, to Sneads Ferry....where I was introduced to Red Pepper. I'll admit, after having Red Pepper, I still dreamed of how amazing "numbah one" was. I thought to myself, man this is good...I can't wait to have No. 1 again! But then one night I had number one Chinese food again & OMG what a disappointment. You'll never know disappointment quite like you will when you try to recreate childhood dreams. Red Pepper is where it's at. Don't go anywhere else but here. The only downside is they give you a TON of red candy sauce, but I'm sure you can ask to not have so much. And sure I'd love more stuff in the crab Rangoon, but it's so freaking tasty...so maybe I'm just being greedy. Tonight when I opened my chicken (the sweet & sour kind... So... Crispy & freakin delicious) there were also little crispies in there! What an awesome bonus. I love little crispies!!! Anywho...if you don't want to fail at life, go to Red Pepper. My husband's and my favorite Chinese Takeout in the Camp Lejeune area. Their Lo Mein is great, and when you ask them to make it spicy? Hoo boy, do they deliver! Their egg rolls are a bit heavy compared to other places, but that's the way we used to get them back home in Chicago, so it was a nice surprise. By far the best Chinese restaurant we've found. We are down here every year for vacation and it has by far become one of our favorites. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious, not to mention they were pretty quick at getting the food out to us.
