The one star isn't for the place in general but then only guy that works there sucks at doing nails. He sets the acrylic and then tries shaping and cutting them so the shape comes out crooked. I came to the shop today. It was crowed. I had a pedicure called premium $25. But i got it done less than 15 minutes with a horrible job. She dont even clean. When I left I so disappointed & I got her name from the other girl. Her name is ANGIE. So dont come to her. I've been going to this nail shop for about 11 yrs. I started at their location before they moved to this current one. I love Tina. Her and her husband Johnny are the owners. Most of the people are pretty good but there are a few who are exceptional. If you find one you really like you can make future appointments with that one. Another important FYI is that they don't accept credit or debit cards. There is an ATM in the shop and the fees are reasonable if you just don't have cash. Even on their busy days the wait time is usually not long. They are not open on Sundays. read more

This is the worse nail shop I've been to in several years. They were fast as far as assigning me a nail tech, but the service and nail job was totally trash. I came in for a regular gel manicure, and the lady shaped my nail into some weird, uneven, non-repairable shape. When I mentioned it, her solution was to cut my nails off. I don't understand why she'd think I want anything other than what I requested. If I came in with 10 square nails, I'd like like leave with 10 square nails. Then further more, the manicure was not really a manicure. She just picked around my nails with the cuticle cutter, but didn't cut one cuticle. The water was plain, cold water, with no soap or softener in it. She went on to brush my nails with the plain water, NO SOAP. (That's a new one for me.) Then when I mentioned her huge mistake, the customer service went from from 4-1, that fast. The lady's colleague started to talk aggressive and sarcastic about the horrible manicure. I went here yesterday to get my nails done. First off my friend and I just happened to be in this neighborhood while eating n decided to stop in. I am an ethnic person so I do understand the language being spoken in front of me but did not disclose that information. While I was getting my nails done this larger build lady was doing my nails and speaking Vietnamese to her friend saying she really didn't know how to cut cuticles and she really just pretends to do people's nails. I noticed she did bare minimum on my nails so I looked for her license as it was invisible and I was concerned after she said she doesn't know how to cut cuticles. Also all their utensils used are not sanitary or cleaned in between clients. She then got frustrated with me when I asked about her credentials and told her friend in Vietnamese my face disgust her not knowing I understood. I feel it was very rude but I did not make a fuss. I still payed even though I should of gotten it for free when I asked her to stop talking about me in front of my face because I understood. She was mostly embarrassed but I am planning to let state board know about their employees possibly being unlicensed as they are not visible or displayed to the public AT ALL! Thank you red nail. If I could give this place ZERO stars I definitely would! I don't live in the area, stopped by on my way to a friend's house. I received the gel manicure and a spa pedicure. The pedicure was ok, the woman was polite but I had to continuously prompt her to do simple things like file evenly and polish the entire nail. My gel manicure was absolutely TERRIBLE! The woman cut the side of my nail so far up its still hurting. She then polished my nails, it's so sloppy it looks like a 5 year old did it. I asked several times if she could paint the entire nail, wipe excess gel off my skin, and to pull cotton from the polish. I have visible and palpable raises in the gel polish and parts that don't even have a top coat. Spoke to the manager at the end of the service he was not very polite but agreed to fix it or split the cost with me. Needless to say I took my half and got the hell out of there! read more

One of the lady's that did my eyebrows completely made then uneven , she didn't know what she was doing she was rushing and I told her I'm not paying you , she got upset and cussed me out. For many years I have come to this place to get my eyebrows done. Usually the lady who waxed my eyebrows does an amazing job. Today it was different. I went in and had to wait about 15 minutes because they forgot I was waiting to get my eyebrows done. When they finally took me in, and a new lady with brown reddish hair and glasses was there. I asked if she could just do a clean up and I specifically said I do not want them thin or round. During the wax she was talking to me and didn't seem completely focused on waxing my eyebrows. At the end I had a feeling they weren't going to look like what I wanted, and sure enough she completely messed up my eyebrows. First of all, she did them thin which is completely the opposite of what I asked. Second, one of my eyebrows was arched while the other round. Thirdly one side seemed shorter than the other. Now I know eyebrows aren't symmetrical, but this lady did a horrible job. She said "sorry" and said I could fill them in, I'm the type of person who does not fill/draw in my eyebrows so this definitely made me upset. I wish the usual person was there. This new lady obviously does not know what's she's doing and does what she wants not the customers. Worst $8 I've ever spent. read more

Been there Couple of times and this last experience was horrible. I went in for acrylic set on my toes always was $18. So today I got charge $25 me thinking maybe the price went up. So I came here on my lunch break today and needed a fill. A man, not sure his name started my nailed. I asked for them to be thin, cut down and shaped square-ish round...natural. He then began to shape them way too square. When I informed him that they were too square he gave me the biggest attitude and told me that I told him that they were ok. Then he said "you don't want me to do them???" Got up and shouted something in his language. Left me sitting there like I'm the asshole! A very sweet girl by the name of Mimi finished my nails... Better then that other guy ever could have because she listened to my request and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. Thank you Mimi for turning this disaster into a much better experience. Unfortunately I will not be returning. I didn't deserve that kind of treatment, especially when there's a nail shop on every corner in LA. I gave 2 stars because Mimi was such a sweetheart. read more
