First time here. Had lunch to celebrate granddaughter's birthday. Thoroughly enjoyed the peanut butter porter to start. We had a cup of broccoli soup that was tasty. I enjoyed the pasta with spicy sausage. It wasn't too hot but had a nice kick to it. We also had a mushroom pizza. It was good although the goat cheese was a little overbearing. It was nice to be able to spend extra time here and not be harassed to leave. Very nice restaurant. read more

Red Rabbit is consistently a favorite. Every drink and dish we've tried has been delicious, the service is excellent, and the wine list is fun to explore. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to recommendations. This is a great option for a nice date night. We came here for brunch one Sunday. Nothing looked appealing on the menu. I played it safe & ordered a cheeseburger. My friend ordered a pizza. The Midwest just doesn't know how to do food. House made Italian in spacious, dark setting full of ambience and 80s music! House made marinara sauce permeates the menu. The cheeses are authentic from a local fromagerie. Fresh, oily, lemony citric arugala salad (a/k/a rabbit food) with firm slices of paresan cheese. Crisp, partially blackened pizza crust from the woodfire oven. All good, all authentic. A few minor hiccups in the service--we had to ask for salad plates and the Bill surgcharges were not initially explained. Ample off street parking in the back. I have been here about 3 times now, each time i've tried the spicy sausage pizza and the mostacolli pasta. the pasta is amazing and id definitely recommend it. the pizza has been inconsistent, the first time it was awesome but ever since then there's been either too little or no chilli honey (which makes the pizza!). that's been a bummer. good cocktails, great ambiance. read more

Came in on a Saturday night and did the waitlist prior to arriving, if I remember correctly it doesn't give you an estimated wait time, so that's kind of annoying given all the restaurants that have that capability. When we called to try to get a time as well, they were not able to quote us which seemed odd as well. Overall the host staff could be better, but the wait staff was amazing. They were quick, and got us all taken care of and the food came out quickly and was all amazing. For sure try their meat and cheese board along with any pasta. You'll love it all! Overall they have regular seating along with bar seating but I think that might of been first come first serve. They also have a parking lot located on premises, not a ton of parking but for St. Paul and the location its in, it's great to have! read more

My mom recommended this place for Labor Day brunch. I was disappointed they didn't have any brunch offerings, they open at 11 am. We started with the crudites appetizer and it was so tasty! Chickpea dip with chewy, crusty bread and fresh vegetables. My mom got the half salad and grilled cheese which she enjoyed. She got a wine flight which was nice. My Mr. got the mushroom flat bread and I was immediately jealous. It looked perfect and he confirmed it was He also got an iced cold press which was overpriced and over iced. I got the vegan primavera and was very excited but was disappointed. It was creamy and green but was just missing something. It was under flavored. I wanted a drink of my own but couldn't decide on what. Red Rabbit has one of the most excellent services. The ambiance is nice and relaxing, perfect for enjoying your meal while chatting with friends. I decided this would be a good place for a date night and I was right. Their name says Red Rabbit, pizza, pasta, oysters. We had the oysters and pasta. Both were amazing. In landlocked places you always have to question 'fresh seafood' especially when it's oysters. I love oysters and I had the good, bad, and ugly over the years. Red Rabbit ranks in the good, actually in the awesome. They are getting them fresh, cleaning them well, and serving them ice cold. I will be coming back for more of these. We both had different pasta dishes. I had the Cavatelli and it was amazing. I could eat this daily. Love all that fennel! My GF had the Raviolo and enjoyed it thoroughly. Just when we thought we could not eat another bite, our wonderful server showed us the dessert menu. We saw the Sticky Toffee Cake which is salted caramel, candies orange, and sour cream. We almost left without getting this, but our server suggested we get it to go. A few hours later we are at home and loving this dessert with a late night bourbon. I heard they serve pizza. The service was spot on so no beef there, but we called the restaurant twice before getting there to see if they could accommodate a table for 7 since you can't make a reservation. When we got there we were put on the patio which would have been fine if it had been a nice table set as inside. We were at a picnic table. The hubby and I checked out this newer spot and are happy we did! The decor is a definite upgrade from the last restaurant that resides here. We were here for lunch, it wasn't overly busy and the service was great! I had the Italian Chopped Salad. It had lots of meat - ham, chicken and salami along with some chickpeas, artichokes, kalamata olives and some provolone. The olive vinaigrette was super good! The tables are distanced, the staff is masked and very efficient, the stools at the bar are distanced.... and the reservations are 90 minutes to keep people moving!! My buddy and I had beers and lunch here last Saturday. Pleasant servers with attentive service. Strangely blue cheese and french dressing are not available for their house salads but the house made ranch was very tasty. Had a miss on the pizza we requested substitution black for green olives and we thought we got the affirmative from the server but we got green olives which we just picked off. Wow! This was an experience. We sat on the patio and it was quite lovely. Jessica was our server and she made this a phenomenal experience. Go - just to hear her intricate descriptions of the meals and tastes- it is almost as good as the food itself. We had a table of five and everyone left full and happy. The food I wasn't found of, I had gone with a friend previously, but despite my suggestion my hubs wanted to see for himself and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the lentil soup for a starter - it was delicious, very flavorful. We ordered the salmon to share which was on top of a bed of the grain salad. What a frustrating experience. You walk in and they hand you a cardboard cut out with three QR codes on it, no menus anymore? It is hard enough to read my email on a cell phone, now I have to read my menu as well? And before someone replies and gives me the "Covid excuse" this sheet with the QR codes on it has obviously been used many many times. The bartender could not have been less engaging, my beer sat nearly empty the last 10 minutes of my visit with not even a check in on how the pizza was or if I wanted another beer. Eventually I decided to forgo the second beer and just leave. I laid my credit card down next to the glass with the bill in it and waited. And waited... And waited... And waited... The bartender must've walked past me I don't know how many times, I can't imagine she did not notice that the credit card was sitting right there. Finally I picked up the receipt and was going to leave it at her when she walked past again, And that is when I noticed another QR code where they wanted you to do a "touchless pay" Maybe that is a type of information you tell someone when you are giving them the bill? I am typically a very good tipper, 25% is often my go to. I could not bring myself to tip her zero, so that is the reason she received 10%. The pizza was very good, and I appreciate the beer selection, but the service was terrible. To add: I just looked at the detail receipt, I selected 10% tip and you calculated it against both the tax and your service charge??? That is shady. read more

Tried out the new Red Rabbit location on Grand. The atmosphere is rustic and chic. Would be great for a romantic date night. We started with drinks. I ordered the Aperol Spritz with aperol, prosecco, sparkling from the tap - very refreshing and delicious. For an appetizer we ordered the Bruschetta with bresaola, shaved parmesan, lemon vinaigrette and arugula. The bresaola was very salty and tasteful. We enjoyed the dish, but the dish was too small to share. It only came with two toasts, and it was not very photogenic. For the main course, I ordered the in-house gnocchi. The gnocchi changes per season. The autumn butternut squash gnocchi was delicious but very sweet. I would go with a red sauce dish next time. Overall, I would recommend this location.
