Even provided free hot dogs and chips for the family. Super friendly staff! The 7 year old ski school experience was much more impressive than the Buckaroo half day for my 4 year old. Wouldn't recommend that one. 7-12 ski school was amazing. I would recommend skiing here and I'm happy they made it work for the spring breakers despite bad snow conditions.

The mountain itself is great, but the website is hands‑down one of the worst I've ever used. We've…read morespent HOURS just trying to reserve tubing spots, and the entire process is a mess from start to finish. Creating accounts is painfully slow, and you're forced to assign a separate email to every single person. After jumping through all those hoops, the site still refuses to move anything to the cart. The worst part is that it doesn't even tell you what's wrong -- it just silently fails. When we finally called, we were told there are only a limited number of tubing spots available. That's fine... but the website doesn't show availability, doesn't warn you, and apparently just deletes your account attempts if the spots are gone. How is that acceptable in 2026? We've wasted hours fighting a system that should take five minutes. The mountain is fun, but the website is embarrassingly outdated and absolutely needs a complete overhaul. Please fix your website. It's ruining what should be an easy, enjoyable experience

They have a staff of young adults and teenagers running things, and they are great at interacting with the kids and families. We have attended "boat races", smores & storytelling, nature hikes, and they also have line dancing and I can't remember what else. The boat races (our favorite activity)consist of having the kids (with help from their parents) build "boats" with pieces of scrap lumber, nails, staples & pipe cleaners. They have to paint their boat and name their boat. Then everyone walks over to the river & the boats race. Good Old Fashioned Family Fun!! Have I mentioned ......... There's NO CHARGE for the Community House activities. They do ask for goodwill donations, but it's very low key - no pressure. There's a bulletin board out by the sidewalk with the daily activities listed, and there are plenty of places around town where you can pick up a listing of the activities.

As Karla mentioned below, the Community House is a wonderful place to go, especially with the…read morelittle ones. Over the years, we have enjoyed games on the lawn, movies on the mountain, and, of course, the boat races. The fact that there is not an admission charge really helps with the budget as there are not a whole lot of bargain places in RR. Looking forward to visiting again this August!

Let me just start by saying that 5 stars are not nearly enough! My mom wanted to celebrate her…read morebirthday in Taos with her closest friends and my sister and I wanted to throw her a special dinner to celebrate. We came across Chef Kualani's page and I am endlessly grateful that we did because the entire process could not have been more perfect. From the very beginning, Kualani was incredibly warm, communicative, and endlessly accommodating. She was open to any requests we had but also came up with the most unbelievable seasonal menu for the dinner (because I had no idea where to start). Dealing with her was a pleasure each and every time and she helped me go through all the details so that nothing was forgotten. And the dinner.... THE DINNER. The food was absolutely incredible. I'm still thinking about her spring pea soup with truffle oil. Every course was fantastic. But Kualani is not just a chef, she is a true hostess. She and her partner Richard came into our AirBnb and handled literally EVERYTHING. She brought beautiful plates and flatware so we didn't have to rely on the AirBnb's stash. She decorated the table. She even made my niece a grilled cheese sandwich while she was prepping. And then, at the end of one of the best meals of my life, they cleaned everything up and left the kitchen better than they found it. Having worked in restaurants and catering for many years, I know first-hand that chefs are not always hospitable. It is a completely different skill set and it's the reason restaurants need a front-of-house staff. But Kualani is the rare exception that is truly capable of curating a perfect evening. She has the most amazing energy and could not have been happier with our entire experience. The dinner absolutely made my mother's birthday and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
