Came here once. It was tasty but sooooo expensive. For the large sub they were $25 each so for two sandwiches I paid $50 it felt crazy rub in my card for that amount plus tax and tip. For that reason I won't come back but the sandwich I got which was pot roast and onions it tasted good and the meat was tender but the sandwich was extremely basic. I'd try it again and get the small but the small is $12. I love sandwiches but this didn't make me obsessed. They seem kinda busy though which is good. read more

Came here at the suggestion of a Co-Worker who had vouched for their Sandwiches, so today, I had a chance to come by and check it out. Ordered the Mad Matt Meal. The sandwich was wonderful and the spicy mayo used did have a nice kick to it on the first bite. Cashier and Cook were kind, welcoming and polite. Did take a bit for the sandwich to arrive, but it was lunch time and there were at least four people who were there before me, so it wasn't a lengthy wait or anything. Lastly, it was a nice and quiet in the dining area aside from the ambient humming of appliances and the background music playing, so it was a peaceful and quiet lunch. I ordered the French Dip and ended up feeding most of it to my dog. The beef was marginal, at best -- I ordered it twice toasted, and the sandwich certainly wasn't even toasted once. Bad news. Been going here for years and unfortunately it looks like they are under new ownership. I ordered their hot pastrami, which I always order, and my buddy ordered a french dip which he always ordered. Both were served on a costco type, brat style hoagie, meat was sysco food type sliced sandwich meat, both sandwiches were barely run through a toaster and were cold. This place used to have bakery level rolls, in house processed/cooked, meats, and there sandwiches were extremely well portioned. Whoever bought this and thinks they can charge $15 for what we just ate is out of their mind. We wont go back and I dont see how anyone would. I guess the one positive note is that the sandwiches were made on time for the first time ever... but thats because they sucked and were cold... What Brian said but we paid $25 a sandwich (total 2 Mad Matt sandwiches) for store-bought hoagie rolls and bacon bits. I used to love this place and it was the only sub shop I'd eat at. Now I guess I have to make my own. The ladies running the shop were really nice but I just can't justify the cost when I can make 6 sandwiches at home for $50. I'm not sure I ever spent that much here even when I used to get the pot roast sandos that I could barely get my mouth around because they were so stuffed with ingredients. read more

Nice little place on Broadway in Everett. It seems to be locally owned and rather popular. I like that they have alternative sodas (Stubborn brand) instead of the usual big brands. There is a decent sized menu and both indoor and outdoor seating. I had the 6" club sub with a soda and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very good sandwich with quick and efficient service. Great to support local business, especially when they have a good product. Way to go Red Rock! read more

Hands down my favorite sandwich shop in Everett. Yes, the parking sucks- it's a hole in the wall establishment but the food makes up for it ten fold. Really surprised to see such negative reviews because I've had nothing but positive experiences when ordering from here. I've had the veggie and the Turkey bacon club; highly recommended ordering your sandwich with the French bread and toasted- so good!! I HAVE LOVED THEM FOR YEARSSSSSSS...AND WOULD PAY 50$ FOR THIER SANDWICHES...but last few times I have gone in a year...post covid. I spent 47$ for 2 sandwiches and literally ate 3 bites each time n threw them away. Everything was bland and griss..even the bread was hard to bite threw n could tell it was either days old or pre bought. Meat was coscto special and nothing was on the sandwich it was advertised as. Great experience again!!! My girlfriend and I were visiting my mom in Lake Stevens for a day at the pumpkin patch to celebrate the fall season. My mom wanted sandwich's so I decided to take her to Red Rock because it's much better than other sandwich shops in the area and I hadn't been here in a few years. (Even folks in Bellevue where I'm from know of Red Rock Subs) Without knowing it we arrived right before closing and after telling Matt we were visiting from out of town he proceeded to invite us to get what we wanted which was his choice as he was cleaning the equipment for closing. Our sandwiches were amazing as usual and we got a few surprise cookies in our bag. A BIG thank you to Matt who was on shift and took care of my family. Would like to give 4 stars; however, giving 3 stars due to insufficient parking. Essentially there is no parking at Red Rock Subs (about 4 spaces in the front). Broadway is a busy street so parking needs to be done quickly. I ended up parking at the gas station next to Red Rock Subs and worried the whole time I was eating my lunch that I would be ticketed. Fortunately I wasn't but I also wasn't able to relax during my lunch either. Orders are placed at the counter and this area became very congested. Several sides are available to accompany ones sandwich such as: green/pasta salads, soup, cookies and chips. There are a handful of tables for those that choose to eat their meal on-site. Allow yourself about 10-15 minutes to receive your order once placed. People who have a 30 minute lunch break may find themselves heard-pressed with that kind of wait time. I had the day off so the wait time didn't bother me. I ordered the regular (6") California Club for $6.99: deli turkey, Swiss cheese, avocado, garlic mayo, Dijon mustard, alfalfa sprouts and tomato served on wheat bread. My sandwich was flavorful with a nice balance of toppings. The regular size was the perfect size for me. I rounded out my lunch with a bag of Lays BBQ chips for $1.29. Not sure if they are cutting back to save money or if they are just going down hill but the sub I got a few weeks ago was pretty weak on toppings and today it was just down right sad. First they sized down the regular sub, but it still pricy, now that wouldn't be an issue because the sandwiches are normally very good but my sandwich looked like a pile of crap, like gross bits of grill, the char of the bacon made me GAG. We've gone to Red Rock Subs a lot in a the last few weeks. My absolute favorite is the Mushroom & Swiss Pot Roast Sandwich. Seriously so freaking good. My husband has eaten a few different sandwiches but seems to like the pot roast sandwiches a lot as well. It's just next level lol. The food itself is definitely 5 stars. However, out of all the times we've visited, our order has only been correct once. We placed all of our orders online, added our choice of toppings, and all but once we're they right. One order it was like they're didn't even try, both of our pot roast sandwiches were just pot roast and cheese - what's the point of allowing us to customize if you aren't going to bother? We've also gotten mixed attitudes from different workers. Some have been suuuper nice. Another one completely ignored my husband after he walked in to pickup our order for whatever reason so do with that info what you will. The food will keep us coming back for now. The sandwich was very good and I'm a fan of the sodas carried here. That said, the review is for the owners. I walked in 5 minutes to closing. Most places (several near by) have turned me down for service in similar situations. These owners had just been slammed with DoorDash orders and yet they looked at the clock and said,"we don't close for five minutes, what would you like?" I haven't had a good gluten free sub in awhile, and this did not disappoint. First of all, the service is fantastic. They're very knowledgeable about the food they serve, and also had suggestions for first timers. They also seem to take allergens pretty seriously. They change the bread racks in the toaster for gluten free, and they also change gloves and clean work surfaces. Not everyone cares that much about cross contamination and I'm glad that Red Rocks does. Next, the food. It was amazing. I know that's a weird way to describe a sandwich, but it was. My husband had the Sicilian sub, which comes with pepperoni, salami, roast beef, olives, and some veggies. It was delicious. I had the mushroom and Swiss pot roast and loved it. OK -- let me just paint this picture for you. Starting with their French bread. It has a crunchy crust-a must-and the inside is soft and lightly toasted. A touch of mayo on one side and a layer of cheese perfectly melted. A thick layer of made-from-scratch shredded pot roast is the star of the show. It is hot, melts in your mouth like butter, and has such a unique taste that only made-from-scratch-just-like-your-grandma-makes-it could produce. Have I gotten your attention yet? This place is always a must when driving past Everett (I live in Bellingham so I always try to find a reason to drive south)!! I love love love their original pot roast sub on French bread and always tell people they HAVE to stop by. The original pot roast is the only thing I get. It is so good I am too afraid to stray, but from what other people who go with me say, any other option is just as tasty. Don't forget to grab a fountain soda. They're all very tasty and you will need to wash down your food with something just as equally as tasty otherwise you might just ruin the whole experience. I'm just kidding, the sub would still be SO GOOD with water, but water is boring. The staff are all super friendly, all usually high school-college age kids, but they opened up the patio for me to sit in because I wanted my dog to sit with me while I ate lunch. This earns them a gold star. The bathroom is tiny, but clean. The restaurant itself is small so if it is really busy in there, seating is super limited. Lots of street parking with it being right on Broadway. There is a very small parking lot but only 4 or 5 spots I think.
