I heard great things from friends and neighbors about this place. Came here for dinner as the family was craving sandwiches. I ended up ordering a Reuben sandwich. I got it hot along with some french fries and onion rings, which were shared with the family. The sandwich was fantastic! Just the right amount of meat and the sauerkraut was so flavorful. And earrings were perfectly crisp and the fries are crinkle cut and crispy. Very similar to the crinkle cut fries at Shake shack. This is an old school deli/cafeteria, and I'm sure it gets tons of traffic from the workers out this way. You won't find fancy Mammoth-esque flavor combinations here. Our sandwiches were standard fare. Is there such a thing as bread that's too soft? That was almost the case here. Because it was Saturday, the cold case had limited items. We tried a pasta salad that seemed a little past it's prime. They make a good, solid, 3-star sandwich. This is a delivery review. Starchy things like sandwiches are special treats for me these days, because anything carb-heavy is a cheat meal I don't eat every day. Who knows? Maybe I'll get those 6-pack abs rippling. Anyway, it has gotten clearer and clearer lately that I couldn't go forever without at least trying Pickle Time once, so today's lunch was sandwiches. Damn good ones, too, especially for the price. As others have noted, they're located in ground zero for popular lunch spots up here--the strip mall known as the Boeing Food Court. Since I ordered delivery, I can't comment on all the stuff they have inside, but I will say that this parking lot for sure gets busy during peak lunch hours. We got an Italian and a French dip. Both showed up quick, even with one of the more easily-confused drivers I've seen. So you know Pickle Time made quick work of the order. Everything showed up wrapped tightly in butcher paper. You can just tell when your sandwich got wrapped by someone who's done it thousands of times, which is a subtle little mark of encouragement before you even get at the food. The Italian was on fairly plain white bread, though definitely denser than the average supermarket sandwich loaf. Soft crust, soft crumb. Plenty of flavorful meats, nice crunchy lettuce, just the right amount of mustard, oil, and vinegar. Everything was in good shape even after a car trip. The world offers larger sandwiches, though probably not for the modest $9 that PT charges. Great value. We also got a French dip. The jus was clear and light, good flavor, not too salty. Nice chewy soft white baguette, very soft crust. I could go with a chewier, crustier bread on both sandwiches, but the bread smell was great on both, great flavor on both. There's a bit of yellow cheese and a decent amount of roast beef inside. Also another really good value for this sandwich at $9. This'll be an easy place to come back to when I can cheat a bit again, and an even easier place to recommend to others. read more

When I spoke with someone, the did not seem to understand derstand the question and hung up on me when I tried to explain. I ordered it anyway but put in a special note saying I only wanted one type. It was a long shot, but I figured they could always just cancel that part of the order (I've had people do that before when something was out of stock). Instead they just gave me the soup they had and ignored the special notes. In addition, I ordered the cheesesteak and there seemed to be some mayo or something on it, very light coating, as if they put it on, then tried wiping it off. No mayo is listed in the description so I don't know what that was. I also received the wrong salad, I ordered the garden salad, but received a chef salad. Finally, the cheesesteak just tasted dry and the roll was soggy. So it was a disappointment all around. I literally waited 5 minutes to order, I was first in line and there were 3 employees within 6-10 feet of me. No greeting no help. I thought I was invisible. So I walked 8 feet to the pay window and ordered. The cashier seemed shocked that I was ordering at cashier versus the order window!! Someone needs to train on customer service here. Stopped in today for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the a chicken club, no mayo, extra bacon, on toasted sourdough bread. When I got back to work, sat at my desk I was very disappointed at first sight.. bread was not toasted, smothered in mayo, and if this is extra bacon I really don't know what to say. On top of all that I purchased a Sparkling Ice (Caffeine) can for $2.79; which is about $1.20 more than I've paid anywhere else. Yet, somehow I was charged $19.69 for my total bill (just confirmed that checking my bank statement). I don't think I'll return. Might as well also buy tobacco and lottery tickets while at too. There is no waiter service. Orders are placed at the short order grill area. Service isn't friendly or welcoming. There is a small seating area to sit down at and enjoy your lunch order if desired. I ordered the lunch combo for $10.99: a deli sandwich, onion rings and fountain drink. For my sandwich I chose the Cajun: turkey, bacon, mayo, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, Tabasco and ranch. My sandwich was also served with a dill pickle spear. My sandwich was okay. Very kind friendly people and good service. I didn't come by for food but was in a bit of situation and they were great help. I locked my key in my car and while waiting for my insurance, my phone was about to die. They charged my phone for me and I was able to wait inside their store. They had a good selection of items in their market and I bought a few things. Despite being a young female alone, I felt comfortable and enjoyed conversation with the workers. I ordered my meal for Uber Eats, delivery. First off, I open my bag and several items are marked with pen smiley faces. How much better can non-interaction be with this. The smiley faces just tells me they care about there customers and are willing to go the extra mile to provide great service. I'm special, so I always must be one of those people who ask for special instructions on every item. Today I ordered 4 items, 2 were sides, and every item I wrote notes for to have something done. Most places don't ever see those notes, PICKLE TIME, and the person who prepared my meal, nailed every request, and drew smiley faces on them. Dave and staff at Pickle Time are the best! Love these guys. Every time I go in all I see are a bunch of smiling faces. Their food helped me to have a successful event. They brought in a variety of different sandwiches with rolled meats, not that lazy layered stuff! The veggie sandwiches were fantastic and beautiful. They brought chips, sodas, napkins, forks cookies. OMG the cookies?! Each a different huge size with chunks of chocolate, real homemade style. By far the worst service I've ever had. The girl working didn't speak at all while taking the order and was straight up rude. She didn't ask us any questions and just walked away mid order. Then yelled at us when we asked for cups that we ordered.. she only got about half our order before she just walked away apparently. Then when the food was ready they didn't call us or Bring it out just left it on the counter. No ice in machine, no crackers for soup. No napkins. True to the name, Pickle Time serves all of its sandwiches with a pickle wedge that is (oddly) wrapped in cellophane. My favorite? Turkey melt with bacon. Get it without mayo and you're good to go. All sandwiches are made fresh to order, and the bread is moisty, warm, and delicious. Pair it with a bag of chips (my favorites are Tom's Dill Pickle or Salsitas). There are also various sides (macaroni salad, fruit salad, soup, etc.) that you can choose from as well. Eat in or take it to go...this place is pretty fast and efficient. I just got my first order from this deli and it was so good I felt inclined to rate it right away! I got the Italian grinder as well as the green apple smoothie and they were both amazing. If you are ordering on DoorDash they do in-fact look at your notes so if you're wanting an ingredient taken off, they will see it! I love that personally. The ingredients were fresh as well.
